I just noticed the clips in the pictures. Brand new F-250 crew cab.
There are two of them along the bottom edge of the back glass.
I can't find any reference to them in the owners manual and couldn't find anything by Googling it.
What these are and what they are for?
I am replacing my front brakes on my 2001 f250 and I replaced the brake pad retaining clips and now I can not get the new pads in place because of the new clips. what am I doing wrong????
View 9 RepliesI have a 2011 f250 sd that I removed the front grill and noticed 3 of the clips that hold the lower part of the grill in (bolts on the top) are broke. I went to the local Ford dealer for the clips and was told I have to buy the whole complete grille for it. The parts breakdown doesn't show the clips sold individually from the grille.

I want to darken the front windows to give the truck a nice look. I was just wondering how much a tint job usually costs, and if I just put tint in the front windows, or over too of the privacy glass also..

View 10 RepliesI drive a 2014 F350 Platinum SRW. No matter how fast i go, there is always a rubbing noise & i can hear it right outside my front window. Its annoying & loud. The mechanics told me it was my dust seal on my front axle but they changed it & its making the same noise even worse than before.

View 4 Repliesonce a year i remove all my seats (yes i unbolt front and rear seats and vacuum real good) and when i lifted the rear bench seat back from the rear wall i noticed THIS to some it might not seem like a big deal but to me this is a HUGE problem, i know my trucks a 2004 but whats gonna happen another ten years from now and longer down the road if i don't stop this now? Im gonna have to be buying or making a repair panel for the rear cab thats what! I plan on keeping my truck forever and buy a new truck down the road so i want this one to last, only thing i can think of is the rear sliding window rubber seal is leaking and letting the water get between the two body panels? From outside where the cab corner meets the center body panel piece none of the factory body sealer is missing or cracked so it has to be the rear slider seal?

View 14 RepliesJust picked up a 2001 Gas F250 4X4 XLT. Everything seems to work except for the electric windows and ABS. I pulled both window switches and cannot find any voltage on the Blue/black cables. I jumped 12v to the drivers side switch and the windows work up and down even in auto. I have voltage at the 30a circuit breaker in the PDB but nothing at fuse #7 in the PCFP. I've checked for voltage at another connector with a Blue/black cable and found nothing. I'm thinking bad cable or GEM. I have noticed that the bell system doesn't sound when you have the key in the off position with the door open if that matters.
View 14 RepliesAny easy way to disable the passenger window control? Being a 2 door supercab, I do not have the "window lockout" button on the drivers control. I would like to be able to control the passenger window only from the drivers side. The problem is, my 2 dogs will put there paws on the passenger arm rest to look out the window. Occasionally, they step on the window down button. Once he stepped on the window up button, while window was down and would have gotten his neck stuck in the window had I not pushed the driver control to stop the movement of the window.
View 11 Replies03 F250. Passenger window is stuck up. When I have the door panel off, I can feel the motor trying to move up. Won't go down at all. When I connect test light to the plug, it lights up correctly for both up and down. Thought maybe it was the motor so I got a new one but it only tries to go one way. It's like the switch isn't sending the signal for the window to go down even though the plug appears to be getting the correct signal.
I took apart the driver's side switch and nothing looks crimped, bent, etc. From some reading, it sounds like possibly the regulator is bad, does that somehow send a signal back to the switch? Is there a relay or something that could be bad? I find it odd that test light seems to work but when connected to a motor, it doesn't.
A while ago both back doors on my 01 crew cab stopped working. The outside handles jiggle loose but the inside ones feel like normal. They both went at about the same time. If it's those little black boxes that mount by the handle on the door, how do I even get to it to change it if it's stuck shut? I can't reach my hand in there either to even try to see what's wrong with it. How to get it open?
View 9 RepliesI was taking my boat out of the lake last night. Shifted T-box into 4Low and removed the boat. I then tied everything up and when to shift back into 2Hi and it wont. I have a 2001 F350 diesel w/ automatic and the auto locking hubs.Hubs are not engaged atm. I have never had this issue before and was wondering if a shift solinoid is stuck or something might be wrong with my Transfer case??
View 14 RepliesI have a early 2003 SD with the 5.4 triton. It has a oil leak on the passenger side, the oil blows back and gets on the exhaust.
I have been under the truck with the engine running looking at where the head meets the block and at where the valve cover meets the head and can not see a leak.
Sitting there running at idle it does not drip a drop off the engine but the entire underside of the truck is coated in oil.
I did notice that the depression around one of the upper valve cover bolts was filled with oil, I cleaned out the oil, let the truck run and it stays dry.
I have a 1999 f250 crew cab. About 6 months ago my drivers side window quit working in the up position(lucky me) and last week I got around to fixing it . I just ordered a new window motor instead of the whole regulator and installed it and it worked perfect for 4 days and today it suddenly quit again. What would cause a window motor to go out again so quick? Everything else seems to be fine and there is power to it so I'm assuming it's the motor.

Looking for a diagram or know the colours of the wires to switch Soni can test to see if the switch is getting power??
View 1 RepliesMy father has a 04 f350 crew with heated mirrors. It does not have rear window defrost. The mirrors will not defrost, So I checked fuse panel under dash and no bad fuses. We don't have a owners manual so we weren't sure which fuse was for mirrors. What should we check next??? I tried searching forum but couldn't find much about the testing of the mirrors.
