View 7 RepliesAt work weve got an 02 F250 Lariat CC, and the overhead console has gone out. I looked in the owner's manual, and there was no fuse listed for the overhead console. Is there anything that I can do to fix it, or should we just go out and buy a new one?
View 14 RepliesLike most older superduty trucks my overhead console doesn't work. I removed it and got the thing apart. Low and behold there were 4 of the resistors loose in the plastic housing. Looking for a diagram that shows the location of these so I can resolder them? My truck is an 04 lariat with sunroof which seems to be different than non sunroof trucks.
View 2 Replies2004 F250 - My problem is that it started with no power on LCD (the one that shows the MPG,compass and outside temperature) but if I give toc, toc, toc with my knuckles the LCD works but it went off about 2 weeks ago and stop function, the other things like the sunroof switch and the 2 lights are ok...
View 5 RepliesI know that this horse has been beaten to death but after searching all the posts and web. I have recently aquired an overhead console and wiring harness from a 2000 F250 and want to install it in my 2001 F250 which did not come with one. The connector behind the passenger kickplate is different so I assume I'll be doing some wire splicing. After reading all the previous posts, I'm unable to find old bird. Apparently he's not around anymore. Looking for the template/wiring instructions for this retrofit?
View 3 RepliesI am wanting to take off the center console lid to recover it. The only way I see to remove just the lid from the truck is to hit the rod out that is in the hinge. I was hitting pretty hard with a punch and it wasn't moving. I don't really want to break it so I'm asking if there is a different way or if I just need to use more force?!
View 4 RepliesI'm trying to remove the center console from my 2016 f350 lariat cc. I have both drivers and passengers seats out and all the obvious bolts removed. I'm still not able to remove the console. I know I'm likely missing just a few bolts as its really loose.
View 8 RepliesA while ago (1 yr) I read and did the pull the wire thing to keep the lie o meter bright all the time. It worked fine, but all of a sudden it seems dim. I can barely read it in the day time. Fine at night. Could it be that the LED's are starting to fail, or some other weirdness? How to remove the overhead console?
View 12 RepliesLooking to sell my '12 F-250 turbo diesel Lariat. She's in great condition, and only 8000 miles. Her only sore point is some scratches and scuffs on the plastic cap on the top edge of the tailgate (see picture below). I think it's part # BC3Z-9940602-B.
How to remove this cap, preferably without breaking/scratching anything else. It looks like there are no external fasteners, so I'm guessing it's just held on with clips on its underside, or some such. It might be more obvious once I get and examine the replacement part, but just figured I'd ask.
I want to know if there are any issues when removing the rear block, also do I have to put a new block in or can I just leave it out ....
View 12 RepliesI would like information how to remove the rear seat back on a 2012 F250. I want to remove the head rests and from what I can find out they are bolted solid to the rear panel. I asked the same question earlier and got a reply for 2011, would that be the same? Is there any place I could get a schematic, a picture is worth a thousand words.
View 5 RepliesHow to remove the overhead console in my Excursion? I just want to make sure I dont break it.
View 6 RepliesI need to replace the front passenger side wheel hub unit on my 2012 F250 4x4 120,000 mile reg cab truck. Its been a while but I did one on my 2000 F250 without any problems. There should be a few clips inside the hub that hold the looking hub and shaft together, right? Do I need any special tools for this job? What do the bolts need to be torqued to?
View 2 RepliesI am working with a 2006 Mountaineer Premium with rear heat/ac, sunroof, and Homelink. I need to remove the overhead console to replace burned out map lights. I cannot determine how to remove the console.
The shop manual has instructions for 2 styles of overhead consoles but not the one in this vehicle. Those 2 styles have a sun glass or garage door opener compartment that you open to access some screws.
This console has the map lights at the front, the controls for the rear ac/heat in the middle, and a panel for the sunroof switch and Homelink buttons at the rear. There is no room for a compartment that opens.
I can get the front portion loose by pulling it down off the clips. The back seems to held in by screws. I do not want to apply much force to avoid damaging anything.
How to remove the overhead center console? I have two false buttons - one on each side of the homelink buttons. Someone pushed on one of them and it popped up inside the console. I've pulled pretty strongly on the console and it comes down about a half inch, and I can see some clips inside holding it, but can't seem to pull it far enough down to get access. I don't want to break the console in half...
View 1 RepliesI bought a 2004 F250 SD XLT 4X4 crew cab which was a a roll over. The cab was replaced with a KR cab, its believed this was from a 2 wheel drive truck. My issue, the electric 4x4 does not work on the truck I have to get out and put it on manually.
Also, the ABS light is on the dash is on and the ABS doesn't work. The overhead panel doesn't work either. A friend of mine believes it could be a wiring harness issue but isn't sure replacing it will have any effect on the 4x4 and the ABS.
My overhead display quit working earlier this week. The truck has 120k miles. Is this display on it's own fuse? I only used it for the outside temperature readout but I would really like to get it working again.
View 3 RepliesSo I shorted wires out putting a new plug on my mirror, and now I have no turn signals, no backup lights and no overhead display that shows mpg and outside temp. All fuses are good, and I don't think it is my flasher relay just because I also have no park lamps or over head display.
View 3 RepliesI've got a 2008 Ford F250 Superduty Crew Cab. My problem is that the center console of the front bench seat is loose. I keep it folded down nearly all the time and any pressure on the front left corner causes the rear right corner to pivot up.
View 3 RepliesI am looking at a left over 2015 F250XL, 6.2L, 4X4, Short Bed. It is a new vehicle, 320 miles, it came in a dealer swap so that was the transfer miles. Truck was built in December 2014.
Question: It has bucket seats with no console. Well, there is some small plastic thing that is a cup holder between the seats, but NO arm rest center console. Is this normal? Or did someone take out the center console/arm rest and swap it into something else, and just found something to bolt to the floor? The one that is there appears it could be a factory piece, but man alive is it cheap.
Also, why no fold up arm rest attached to the seat??? Ford did this in the past. Is there a bolt hole to attach an arm rest from another Ford bucket? One that you could fold up and down maybe?? You would have to make a hole in the fabric to use it, but someone should be able to go feel around for a threaded hole or something.
Have a 2008 F350 Lariat Crew cab and I don't have any power coming to the center console power points. I unplugged the cig lighters and check the harness itself but no juice. Fuse 41 and 43 test good am i missing another fuse not listed?
