Replacing EGR cooler/ EGR valve. Are there torque specs going back together with the EGR system? or is there a forum that has all the torque specs id need to complete the job.

View 2 RepliesI recently purchased a 2012 f350 power stroke. Love the truck but went out this morning and the air would only come out of the vents. I couldn't get anything out of the defrost or the floor vents? Truck is out of basic warranty so want to see if I can figure this out myself or if it needs to go in the shop.I've looked for a fuse but didn't see anything that ran an actuator door.
View 5 RepliesI recently came a cross a no start issue with my truck. It is 2005 ford f350 6.0 ... Found out I have a leak in the high pressure system. When I was taking out the bolts out from the manifold I stripped out two bolts. I know ford part # w301383 is the ford bolt. But I was thinking why use that same bolt and had have that issue again later.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2008 f350 6.4 (105,000 miles) and I am randomly getting the check charging system the batterys have a standing voltage of 13.8 and 13.9-14v (read from the ecu with scanner) both at idle and under a load. I also checked the alternator and its making 13.8-14 all the batteries are tight and there is no corrosion.

I've poked a hole in the gasket that runs wires through the firewall and cut the tips off of a couple of the accessory wires. Went to go get some more parts and now the truck won't start! The lights and radio turn on when the car is turned on but the starter doesn't even click when I try to start it. What should I look at?

View 4 RepliesI was recently on a trip pulling my 32' Travel Trailer, and out of the Hvac system started blowing scalding hot air and soot and smoke into the cab. I pulled over to check things out and could find nothing wrong. When the turbo kicks in it blows even hotter. I could find nothing wrong at the time. As I got back on the road again it started again a few miles down the road.
I made it home and started checking things out. Around the dash, airbag, glove box, on the window , headliner and carpeting, is covered in soot and smoke. the computer is now telling me that ALL the doors are ajar, power locks and key fob do not work, 3/4 of the window switches do not work and 1 window does not work now. I removed the glove box and the panel underneath it to look at the HVAC system.
What I saw about made me cry. The Plastic that houses the HVAC system had started melting and the HVAC hoses have melted. I have still not found the reason for any of this to happen. Also when I got the truck a year ago the Turbo would spool up around 1800 to 2000 RPM. Now it does not spool up until around 3000 to 3250 RPM.

I have a 2012 Ford F350 SRW 4x4 Diesel. Love the truck and has been great. I have 20" Tires and the ride on this truck is really rough. I know its now a Cadillac but to change tires or suspension components to get a smoother ride. I was thinking about going to 18" rims and getting a big all terrain tire. Maybe taking a leaf spring off in the rear. Going to air suspension. Different tires maybe. I dont need the load rating since i sold my fifth wheel.
View 13 RepliesI have a 2012 F-350 SRW with a 6.7 diesel. The other day I went to push the defrost switch and noticed it does not work. All the lights work in the switches, and the temp control works, but no matter what I push, defrost or floor, it stay in the vent only. Anything I can check??

Have found step and handle available (OEM) but need to know how hard/easy to install it on our current tailgate. I gather from another post the handle part is easy but what about the step itself?

View 1 RepliesWhile driving into town during a recent snowstorm, my truck started to misfire quite badly. The check engine light started to flash and then remained on as I went to the auto parts store. The code indicated cylinder two misfire. I don't a few things of dry gas in the tank and let it run for a few minutes which seem to solve the problem.
Since then, however,every time the engine gets even a little bit wet it starts to bark again. It usually lasts a few minutes then goes back to normal. Typically, I would have replace the plug wires. When I lifted the hood of my truck I realize I knew nothing about it.
Installing the Hellwig 1 1/4 inch Front Sway Bar on their 11 and up F250 or F350 SRW Pickup?
My 2012 F350 Super Cab LWB XLT 6.7L seems to have quite a bit of sway in the front end. This is especially true moving slowly such as turning into service stations or other off angle turns. The truck only has the FORD OEM puny Rear Anti Sway Bar but the front seems to accentuate sway. The Truck has Rancho 9000XL Shocks, Timbren Enhanced Suspension System as well as Torklift Quick Release Stable Loads in the rear.
The Truck I have is not overloaded but it does carry an Eagle Cap 950 Camper pretty much full time. True the Campers now days are tall so some sway is expected. I just want to reduce the apparent front end sway and wonder if others have used the Hellwig Sway Bar in the front.
I am installing a set on a '12 F350 for a customer. I already had to go buy an additional hardware in order to get the back bumper on correctly...and now I'm looking at the front bumper and I swear I don't have the parts I need to install it. It appears to be missing some brackets. There were NO instructions with them (apparently a chronic problem with Road Armor) and I can't possibly imagine it bolting to the flimsy brackets that hold the factory bumper (fairing would be a better word for it) in place.
View 6 RepliesSo, I have this problem that comes back when the temperatures drop below about 20 degrees F. The truck is a 2012 F350 diesel with 15k miles and has done it since it had 3,000 miles on it. When turning in an intersection, or just moving the steering wheel left to right, it makes a clunking sound up in the front steering area and you can feel it a little as well. I have taken it to the dealer and they tightened the body mounts, but that did nothing. Once it warms up, the sound is gone.
This, coupled with the rear end clunking loudly over every bump and pothole when it is cold out, makes this truck a real noisy/annoying vehicle in the winter.

I own a 2012 F350 dually King Ranch with 6,600 miles on it as of today. I noticed that on slight inclines, I can see and feel the hill start assist feature activating and working as before. I was not towing anything today. Starting today though, I hear this loud creaking noise both in forward and reverse directions with quite a bit of shutter from front of the truck lasting one to two seconds as I transition from the brake to accelerator. I checked the front hubs to make sure that they are not in locked position. I tried activating 4WD auto mode, then deactivate it to 2WD mode as I watched the diagram/figure on the dashboard. Nothing would make the loud creaking noise and shutter go away. Is there anything else I can try, or should I take it back to my Ford dealer again (now for another different reason. I had problem with injector #8 failure with CEL come on earlier this week which appears to be fixed for now)???
View 13 RepliesI have a question on the 2012 F-350 with 6.7. I have found after mid to long drives when I shut the truck down I can smell coolant when walking around the front of the engine. Seems more so from the driver side but i have yet to see any leaks or wet spots on the ground. I had the water pump and lower rad hose replaced last year under warranty and though it might have been residue but after a year and still smelling it it has to be something else. I only have 30,000km's left under warranty so if I need something replaced it should be soon
