I need to replace the front passenger side wheel hub unit on my 2012 F250 4x4 120,000 mile reg cab truck. Its been a while but I did one on my 2000 F250 without any problems. There should be a few clips inside the hub that hold the looking hub and shaft together, right? Do I need any special tools for this job? What do the bolts need to be torqued to?
View 2 RepliesAbout a month ago I bought a 2012 F250 XLT. I just had it inspected (PA laws) and found that the passenger side 4x4 hub is a little hard to turn. There is also alot of corrosion on that side. I will be taking care of the corrosion, but have not had a newer 4x4 hub apart yet and was wondering for pictures or any diagrams? I would like to take care of it before winter hits.

Issue: rattling/clicking noise from passenger front wheel area at speeds lower than 15MPH, made worse under light braking and/or turns to the right.
Clicking sound is speed dependant.
Spindle? Hub? Balljoint? Sway joint? Rotor Issue?
I just purchased a '12 f250 Lariat w/ 39k miles. When I got home I noticed one of the three LED running board lights does not work on the passenger side. Can I replace this myself?
View 6 RepliesI have a 2000 f250 4x4 with 4 wheel abs. The front passenger side caliper keeps locking up while I'm driving and won't release and when I hit the brakes it pulls hard to the drivers side. I have put two calipers on the passengers side and put new brake lines on.

View 2 RepliesHere's the deal. I have a 2001 F250 4x4 and I am getting a noise in the front drivers side wheel. The noise is not a grind or clunk, but its like a u-joint is rubbing inside an empty cylinder kind of. Anyways, it seems like it does it only with small bumps. I took off my oem hubs and re-installed them and the noise went away for about a week. Now I replaced them with manual locking hubs and the noise is back. One other thing I notice is if i put the switch to 4x4 the noise goes away. I checked all major components for the steering and suspension and nothing was loose. The front end is tight. Is there anything inside the axle that would cause this? I dont know what to check for anymore. Where else to check?
View 4 RepliesI have a 2003 F-250 6.0L 2WD and I recently noticed a rattling thumping noise under the front end on the passenger side. I noticed the rattle shortly after I got new tires, which are a hair bigger than the tires I had on it before. I thought it might be my new tires rubbing since they were bigger but then I noticed the rattle when I had my wheel straight and also when not moving at all. I've been driving it for a couple of weeks now with this rattle and I've been able to determine that it rattles most when I am going downhill and turning to the left putting more of the weight of the truck on the front right suspension components.
After reading several threads my first attempt to find the problem lead me to the discovery of a worn sway bar bushing. I thought this was for sure the problem and replaced both bushings and end links. But the rattle didn't go away. Then I thought maybe it was a bad wheel bearing so I replaced the wheel bearings in both front wheels. Still no change. Lastly, I happened to find a loose ABS line in the front right wheel well that was no longer secured and was banging against plastic. I secured that and still no change. All the bushings seem to be in good shape so I am considering taking it to a mechanic since I don't want to just replace everything hoping that it solves the problem piece by piece.
I want to know if there are any issues when removing the rear block, also do I have to put a new block in or can I just leave it out ....

I asked the same question earlier and got a reply for 2011, would that be the same? Is there any place I could get a schematic, a picture is worth a thousand words.
View 5 RepliesBought a new touchscreen head unit to put in my 06 lariat f250. I have all the controls on my steering wheel for heat and radio and I don't want to lose them with a new radio. This head unit does not have the 3.5mm jack for the axxes unit but has 3 wires labeled swc1 swc2 and swc ground. It supposedly has the converter built in. any views on using a headunit with these wires?

What is the procedure to remove the Driver's side Rear Sway Bar Link upper bolt? - the link attaches to the frame. The nut is on the inside of the frame with about 1/3" to 2/3" clearance between the frame and the fuel tank. Of course, the frame's "C" shape faces towards the inside.
On the F250 trucks, if I changed the mounting frame under the seat, will the passenger side seat fit on the drivers side? Basically, can I turn a passenger seat into a drivers seat?

View 4 RepliesI have a 2013 f250 6.2, I bought the truck brand new only have about 3000 miles on it and the other day I noticed that the drivers side front is lower then the passengers side front, the drivers side is about one inch lower, this doesn't seem right, also my drivers side front wheel seems to be pushed forward about one inch to the bumper that also doesn't seem right.
View 3 RepliesI bought my wife a 1999 F250 SD a few weeks ago and we both are loving it, but a few days ago she noticed water in the passenger side floorboard. We've been having a ton of rain lately, so much that I think I saw a big boat with a bunch of animals floating in my backyard yesterday. Seriously though, normally I'd assume that the heater core was leaking, but this was just water, no antifreeze. Obviously the water is from a leak somewhere, but I can't find it for the life of me. I sat in the truck in a pouring rain and didn't find a leak anywhere. The carpet is wettest around the area where the door sill trim meets the kick panel, however she said she had seen a few drops of water standing on the top of the floor mat.
View 10 RepliesI whacked my passenger side mirror on my 2016 F-250.
It look like I got lucky and only broke the chrome "skull cap" and knocked the mirror out of it. The fold, telescope and power adjust all still seem to work fine.
I see Ford sells just the Skull Cap and the mirror as separate parts - a complete mirror assembly.
My first question is how does the mirror attach to the base? There are a couple holes in the gray colored base that tilts - does it clip/snap into those holes? There isn't any adhesive residue so I am confident it isn't glued on.
My second question is what is the plug on the bottom of the mirror for? It has a slot that a screwdriver can fit in and it pops off and there is a plug on the interior side - what is this and what is it for?
2003 F250 4x4 7.3L
While doing my brakes in the front, I tried to wiggle the front left, nothing. Solid. Then when I did the right, I was surprised to see it wiggle when I grabbed the tire. So I looked to see what was moving.
Not the U joint, not the ball joints, But it looks like what is a drive shaft.. (I am new to this stuff). On the right side a shaft comes out of the axle just before the U joint and the rest of the wheel assy. What is wrong?
