View 14 RepliesI have searched everywhere, but I can't find the information I need for anything newer than 2007. I have the instrument cluster removed, and I can't figure out how to get to the bulb. In previous years, it just twisted out, but this one is different.
View 7 RepliesHow to change my map light bulbs over the front seat of my new (to me) 2010 F250 King Ranch with a sunroof. I have tried to remove the whole assembly with a plastic trim tool with no success. I have pulled as hard as I dare and figure there must be a procedure I am missing. It appears to me that the whole assembly has to be pulled down.
View 6 RepliesI went to replace a headlight bulb and now I lost electric in the cab. I have no interior lights, no power window or door locks, turn the key on, no crank, no cluster, no radio, no chimes, the upfitter switches work, the mirrors power fold and telescope. Have power to both fuse boxes and battery is fully charged.
View 6 RepliesI found one thread in FTE regarding replacing instrument cluster bulbs but the solution was to contact Circuit Board Medics. I have one dark area on the right side of the tach and another dark area on the left side of the speedo. Probably the same bulb that's out. Also, can attempt to replace the bulbs (assuming its a bulb and not a fiber optic of some sort) in the steering wheel volume and fan controls?

View 3 RepliesStarted to attempt to replace the heater core in my 08 SD 6.4. Didn't know the entire plenum has to come out in order to replace it. How to remove the plenum? My buddy is a Ford tech but I just am not getting what he is telling me and there is next to nothing coming up when I try to search.
View 2 Replies2008 F350 6.4 ... So I've been reading all about the spartan tuner throwing the P0088 code, and the ford band aid fix, I guess my question is, I'm going to have my HPFP replaced for peace of mind. Truck has 106,000 miles on it. Will i have an issue at the dealer if I show up with my tuner/exhaust on the truck? I'm not worried about warranty obviously, I just want to know are they going to have to unplug the tuner? Or something, I am just concerned how they'll go about putting the new HPFP on.
View 6 RepliesThe trans temp guage on my '08 F-350. V-10 started acting erratically, and the wrench icon popped up on the display. i crawled under the truck to look for the sending unit and it's lead. i assume that i found the lead. it is encased in a corrugated sleeve, and appears to be a vaccuum type tube and boot connector? the boot still had a small round gray cap plugged into it. it appears that the cap was never glued (go figure) upon assembly. i have tried to reach up on top of the trans to find the sending unit to figure out the best angle of attack. i can barely touch it with the tip of my finger. going with mechanical guages is out of the question at the moment, so i'm wondering can it be driven any distance this way, AND any schmooze tricks developed to get at the sucker without dropping the cross member or exhaust????

The closest tangential reference I can find is to 194, with additional references to 168 and 912. A Google Image Search of makes it seem like I'm getting warmer.
A week ago last Saturday I bought a 2006 F250 Lariat Crew Cab with the 6.0 and 4WD. The truck is really clean and only has 68,000 miles on it. Here's my question: I needed to tow a boat today and I discovered I have no power, at all, at the trailer light plug receptacle. Nothing at the 7-pin nor the flat-4. I looked through the manual and checked every fuse that had the word trailer associated with it and I can also feel the turn signal relays clicking with the flashers on.
Am I missing something really simple or do I just need to follow the wire harness from the back and look for something that is not connected? It seems kind of weird for it to be just....dead.
I'm really not satisfied with my Ford F350 SDC headlight bulbs!! I need a BRIGHTER bulb suggestion that won't break the bank and not have to add ballasts and rewire the circuit...

View 1 RepliesThe battery light blinks in my truck. It's not a controlled blink, but it flickers like a loose bulb. It started a week or so ago. It would blip every once in a while. Gradually it would start to flicker more often. At first I thought it was belt-related but it isn't related to the transmission shifting at all. So if you're thinking that it's belt-related, you're going to have to explain why it doesn't blink either right before or right after a transmission shift (i.e. a rapid change in engine speed).
Earlier in the week, the light was flickering so hard that it was virtually on. I drove home last night and didn't see it once, although that's the first time I haven't seen it happen at all in a week. The battery gauge itself doesn't move a bit while this is happening. I have a cigarette lighter voltmeter and it shows a pretty steady 14.1 volts regardless of whether the light is flickering or not.
I had the batteries tested in my truck by a real battery shop about 4 months ago and they are fine. The battery connections all seem tight and clean, and the belt, tensioner and all that seems fine. So..What can cause a battery light to come on that isn't voltage related?
02 f250 SD...I need to change the front corner turn signal bulb... How the hell do I get to it? I see the grey plug that I need to take off in between the bottom of the light and bumper but have no clue how to get to it..and what is the bulb number?

My question is; what is a reliable after-market replacement part that will bolt up?
My "new" truck has a sluggish seatbelt on the driver's side. It won't retract all the way.
How do I get to the mechanism to have a look at it or put in a replacement?
The belt on this one comes out of the top of the seat, not from against the door.
