i have a 2008 f250 4x4 i need to replace the drive side front lower body bushing and i can not get the pressed on bushing to come out what is the easiest way to get this to come apart i tried using a 4 ft pry bar and i could not get it to pop free.
View 11 RepliesThe driver side front body mount bushing on my 2014 is gone which has the grill sitting on the bumper. I started to replace it, but the bolt is sized to the nut. ran off about 1/2 inch and that is it, it will not tighten or loosen anymore.
I cut the head off the bolt, but can not get the body high enough to remove the old bushing so i can cut the nut off flush with the rad support. Now I am trying to get the air filter box out so i can cut the top of the "nut cage" off to remove the bolt and nut out the top. but i can not figure out how it is held in.
I have the intake disconnected and the filter hat off, overflow tank hose disconnected, and two bolts holding the whole thing to the fender out, but it will still not budge. What am I missing here?
Need recommendation for replacement body mount bushing. Surprised to see the drivers side shredded. Poly replacement?

View 9 RepliesI can't figure out how to get my front brake rotors off to replace them. I removed the caliper and thought the rotors should just come right off but they didn't? I then pulled the hub out and there was a retaining ring with a good size nut behind it , but you shouldn't have to remove the hubs to remove the brake rotors should you?
The stats of the truck are 04 f250 4wd w/manual hubs!
I am trying to replace the ball joint on my 2008 f-250. Does the hub assembly come off of the knuckle or do you remove the whole knuckle and hub assembly together? If you have to remove the hub assembly what is the best way?

I tried pushing the little button and pulling up hard, No good. I look for a little clip or some other retaining device. Nothing. How do I get the front head rests out?

View 2 Replies2008 6.4L F250 Crew. I just recently had a new radiator installed while the cab was off for an oil cooler change. I noticed that my lower front bushings are gone and need to be replaced.
I thought it would be an easy, pull the bolts drop the lower bushing and reinstall. Looks like they don't come out so easily. Is there a trick to getting the lower mounts/bushings separated from the uppers?
Trying to get it off. I removed four bolts nd still having trouble.

View 3 RepliesI have a E99 F350 7.3L 4x4 I know some or most of you have already probably replaced this part and or pulled a front axle shaft out. So here is my question...In the pictures provided you can see what I think everyone is calling a "Dust Seal" and as you can see it is bad and making a very terrible noise when i hit a bump...I was wondering what parts I would need to replace this seal? I tried looking it up and just get lost in all of the other things....I have found write-ups for the axle being removed while changing ball joints but none by it self to just replace this seal.

Just got my 2008 F250 SD and am thinking about removing the FX4 decal and the tinted pieces that go over the tops of the windows on the doors. Also want to remove the marker lights on top of the cab or maybe switch them from yellow to red (truck is red) so they blend in a little better. No "hate" to the folks running these options just not my style.

View 10 RepliesI need to replace the front passenger side wheel hub unit on my 2012 F250 4x4 120,000 mile reg cab truck. Its been a while but I did one on my 2000 F250 without any problems. There should be a few clips inside the hub that hold the looking hub and shaft together, right? Do I need any special tools for this job? What do the bolts need to be torqued to?

View 2 RepliesSo I've had this WAAG brush guard laying around for a few years and figured it was time to do something with it. Of course it was bought with no mounting brackets. I had found a lower gear from a Fisher MM1 plow. Tossed the in the truck and started from there.
Broke out the cherry picker and started lining stuff up. Drilled some holes and bolted it up. It's all bolted up but I still need to take a piece of 2x3 angle and weld it to the lower plow mounts to tie the bottoms together and create a step.
