I just bout a F350 V10, 2008. All is great except for the clearance lights. I took advice from this site....checked the bulbs....replaced the fuse....still doesn't work. There is no damage on this truck. Is there something special I need to do to turn these lights on?
View 2 RepliesI just picked up a 2001 Ford F350 4x4 7.3 SRW last week. I've been slowly going through the truck replacing everything. One thing I've always liked on trucks is the cab clearance lights, which this one doesn't have (it's a base XLT with no options).
So I looked on Amazon and ended up ordering this....
But then I realized that the harness isn't included, and I can't find it for sale anywhere. I searched the Ford parts site but can't seem to find it.
I'm thinking about returning those lights and getting this set: [URL] .... But I'm not 100% sure that the harness that's included will fit my truck, it only says Ford.
I have a 2008 F350 Super Duty Regular cab long bed 4X4 I have no cargo light and no third Brake light, checked and even replaced bulbs. Still have no lights up top, what to check or how to fix this? Can I tie the cargo light into the dome light inside without screwing something up? I can't understand why they stopped hooking the cargo light to the dome light but this one seems to be wired separate. Would love to get these lights working again. When I bough t the truck the cargo light didn't work and I thought maybe the bulbs were burnt out, I never checked the brake light I tried to get the cargo light working and that's when I found out the brake light didn't work either.

View 6 RepliesI have an 08 f350, and my cab over lights are out...I've checked net for issues and they all point in different directions... Running and towing lights are fine, just cab over lights are out...is there a fuse somewhere I cant find? could one burned bulb be out and it effects all?

View 8 RepliesHave an 08 f350 xl and was looking to put oem foglights into the bumper where mine has the block out 's, guess what I am asking is if the wiring is already there as it was on a different vehicle I owned ,basically it was a plug and play ,have only had the truck for a week and with the hours I'm working I really haven't had a chance to crawl under and look for the wiring.

View 3 RepliesI have a 2008 F350 and my automatic hubs won't work, also when I turn the AC on there is heat coming out of one side of the vents. I am assuming this is a vacuum leak somewhere but my vacuum pump doesn't run steady? I thought if there is a vacuum leak then your pump should run steady? The 4X4 works fine by locking in the hubs
View 7 Replies2004 ford f 350 super duty, 6.0 Liters international diesel, 4door, 4x4, long bed, dual rear wheels. Over 200,000 mileage. I have no power to the trucks brake lights and no power to the tow plugs trailer brake lights, which is the center left and the center right tow plug blade style contacts, while using a 12 volt test light! All fuses are showing good and I replaced the brake switch at the brake pedal, and I also replaced the towing plug with the short wire and connector at rear of truck which is under the rear bumper and the frame mounted tow hitch bar
- Are there any relays that control the truck brake lights and the trailer brake lights ?
- If yes where are the brake relays exactly?
- Have I missed or not done something else to correct the problem?
I just bought an '08 F350 Super Duty CC. When I bought it, the previous owner gave a me card with the code on it. So I tried to reprogram the keyless keypad to a new code that I can remember, no luck at all. Followed all the steps on how to reprogram it like a hundred times and still won't reprogram. So I've noticed that none of the lights light up except 7*8, none of the other buttons won't light up.
Could the keyless keypad be going south? Maybe the contacts in the keyless keypad are gummed up or a relay? Need to get this feature to work cause I sure would use it a lot. Also how do I remove the interior door trim to get to the keyless keypad? The door panel has electric locks, electric window, power mirrors, telescoping rear view mirrors, memory seating buttons and speaker pillar.
Ihave a 2004 F350 4x4 Dually diesel. While in my hay field I hit a small rut and the truck bounced. About two seconds later all gauges and lights/windows quit working and the truck ran rough. I have a Banks system and it registered a code 33. Maybe 32 error. Book says it is an airbag deployment. They did not deploy. So I drove out of the field and turned it off to see if that would reset the gauges. No, not only that but the gauges all swept the faces from off to full to off and the truck would not start, just chatter.
I disconnected both batteries and waited. Reconnected and it started, but the gauges quit after 10 seconds..... Everything flatlined even the banks IQ. But the truck kept on running. Got back to the ranch and the batteries went flat overnight... Charged them up, starts fine gauges work but alternator puts out 11.5.
I have a 2003 Ford F-350 6.0 it's srw lariat edition it has Manual hubs but electronic 4x4 switch I have changed all fuses and relays but still the light won't come on I've tried manually locking the hubs and still nothing....

I have a '04 250 with factory tow mirrors that are power mirror and turn signal/clearance light. I want to upgrade to the '08 style. Which of these would work? I would think either, but I'm not sure about the wiring harness?

On my 05 350, I noticed the other day that my 4wd wasn't working, when I needed it of course. I quick test this morning and I discovered my PS hub is not locking in. I've read a lot of posts about it being the opposite, the auto portion causing a problem. In my case, it won't lock in in auto or manually turning. I can lock it in, spin the wheel and the axle shaft isn't turning. The pressure is the same as the other side, not too loose or too stiff. Can I pull the hub assembly off and rebuild it? I watched a video about that, but not sure on how my issue would allow me to work on it.

I have used it a few times since getting it a few months ago and then last night I was going to play paintball in the woods and the 4wd would not engage? when i put it in 4wd it would act like the truck is in neutral and then it lurched forward? The front hubs have the option on them to turn, but I never had to turn them before and they do not move when I tried to? What could be causing the 4wd not to function?
View 4 RepliesI'm having a little problem with my F350. I've had it for about a month now and the cluster had no problems or whatsoever. Then, I drove it today and I noticed that the instrument cluster is not working at all. The lights work, but the gauges wouldn't move. When I turn the key before starting it the chime is beeping faster than it usually did before and it wouldn't shut off unless I close the door. It also only indicates the airbag and battery light. I checked all the fuses and they were good especially #15 or #16 can't remember it right now.
I don't know if its related, but this past saturday I was messing with the overhead instrument cluster for the gas mileage and all that. I soldered some of the relays back on and that was it. I started the truck after I did all that, but everything was still working. It's been bugging me all day today.
Truck wont start with key. It has a brand new battery, brand new starter & brand new solenoid. When I turn the key to the on position the lights come on but it wont start. The truck will start when I jump the solenoid. Im wondering if its the ignition key cylinder or the ignition switch, or maybe something else like a relay or faulty wire. Where I should start or what the problem could possible be?
