Have an 08 f350 xl and was looking to put oem foglights into the bumper where mine has the block out 's, guess what I am asking is if the wiring is already there as it was on a different vehicle I owned ,basically it was a plug and play ,have only had the truck for a week and with the hours I'm working I really haven't had a chance to crawl under and look for the wiring.

Anything I should look out for on the install? Once they are installed I would like to add front and rear strobes along with a roof light for plowing.
View 3 RepliesI have an 08 f350, and my cab over lights are out...I've checked net for issues and they all point in different directions... Running and towing lights are fine, just cab over lights are out...is there a fuse somewhere I cant find? could one burned bulb be out and it effects all?
View 3 RepliesI would like to add a second backup camera to my 2016 F-350 Super Duty to assist when hooking up to my fifth wheel. It is a Crew Cab with the Factory Tonneau Cover so my view of the hitch is blocked. I would like to add the third brake light high mount camera and be able to toggle between my OEM/Tailgate Camera and the High Mount. I have found a couple that claim they will work but both require tapping into the main connector on the back of the display, but not quite sure how to open it up. Accessing the connector is not a problem, just getting it apart without breaking it is the question. The "Lockpick" system has not been tested/certified for the 2016 model.
View 3 RepliesI just bout a F350 V10, 2008. All is great except for the clearance lights. I took advice from this site....checked the bulbs....replaced the fuse....still doesn't work. There is no damage on this truck. Is there something special I need to do to turn these lights on?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2008 F350 Super Duty Regular cab long bed 4X4 I have no cargo light and no third Brake light, checked and even replaced bulbs. Still have no lights up top, what to check or how to fix this? Can I tie the cargo light into the dome light inside without screwing something up? I can't understand why they stopped hooking the cargo light to the dome light but this one seems to be wired separate. Would love to get these lights working again. When I bough t the truck the cargo light didn't work and I thought maybe the bulbs were burnt out, I never checked the brake light I tried to get the cargo light working and that's when I found out the brake light didn't work either.
View 3 RepliesI am looking at a 2016 F350 that I found on a local dealers lot. It has most of the options I wanted MINUS the Rearview Camera.
It is an XLT Reg cab so I do not have the display screen (When built with this option installed, the display would be in the rear view mirror, not the display screen.)
So I am wondering if it is even possible to add this option after the truck was already built and have the dealer install it? Or is it one of those options that would have to be done before build/assembly?
I read in a thread about how fog lights need the auto light sensor or something in the kit to be installed and flashed.
My truck is a 2012 f250 XLT that I bought left over from a podunk town IN illinois. It does not have fog lights but it Does have automatic head lamps. So Im very confused on what kit to order to add fog lights to my truck.
I have a 2004 F250 and would like to have more light in front of me. I looked under the front to where the stock fog light would get mounted but I don't see any wire harness in that area. What is involved if I pick up a pair of replacement fog lights like the offer at LMC Truck. Would i need buy a harness? And what about a switch?
View 11 RepliesI would like to add an LED light to each running board and tie it in with the dome light wiring so that when the door(s) are opened it will come on with the dome light and light up the factory running board. Any info on where a good place to splice into the wiring, and will the wiring be able to handle a couple extra lights?
The truck is a 2012 F-350 XL, SD Dually....
I am a trucker at heart and I like to add running lights to my running board / step bars. As far as installation of the lights, done it several times, no problem there. However in the past, I have just ran a wire back to the trailer plug and used a scotch lock / snap connector to feed the running board lights.
If I do the same on a 2012, will that cause havick with the computer? Most likely I will be running 7 lights, all 3/4" diameter LED style. If this isn't' the best solution, then where to get power for marker lights.
I recently purchased an 06 F250 XLT Crew Cab. I want to add the factory automatic headlights to it. Is there anymore to it than the photocell and the light switch that I need to make it all function? I'm adding the factory driving lights and getting the automatic headlight switch with the driving light option. I tried the search function but came up empty.

View 13 RepliesI used to own a fleet of school buses and I had remote trans filter on all of them. I'd change the filter about every 10K and felt like it really extended my trans life on Allisons. I wanted to put on my SD, so, I had a spare filter block with a 20psi bypass valve, and I used it. Worked out real well mounted to the radiator support, up front--easy access. uses a NAPA 1268 filter. In the picture it looks like the hoses are real close to the AC condenser, but in real life, the are three inches from it.
View 2 RepliesI was adding some more running lights today and tried to tie in to the front running/turn signal light. Next thing I know I hear a pop and now no turn signals, hazards or brake lights on my 99 F250 SD V10. My 3rd (center) brake light does work though when I press the brake, it's just the tail brake lights that dont work.
I can't find a blown fuse for the turn signals or brake lights (not really sure which fuse box it's in since the manual doesn't tell me what fuse is what)
I however did find what I'm guessing are the flashers behind the radio. What might have went wrong where before I start dumping money in to flashers and relays.
The next question is, can I jump in to the marker/turn signals and add another single LED light to them off the front? If I can which color wire does what?
Truck wont start with key. It has a brand new battery, brand new starter & brand new solenoid. When I turn the key to the on position the lights come on but it wont start. The truck will start when I jump the solenoid. Im wondering if its the ignition key cylinder or the ignition switch, or maybe something else like a relay or faulty wire. Where I should start or what the problem could possible be?

View 4 RepliesMy daughter came home a bit ago and told me the backup lights on my '02 F350 were on. Pretty odd because the keys were in my pocket at the time.
When I opened the door to the truck, I noticed a faint electrical smell and noticed the fan for the environmental controls was running as well.
I'm guessing the light issue is probably a sensor or something at the transmission but why would the blower be running as well?
Early last week I finally decided to try and figure out why my cruise control hadn't been working and discovered fuse F2.34 was blown. Replaced it and went through the test procedure described here: [URL] ....
No issues and the cruise is working again. I had to take it on a road trip for work the following day and didn't have any issues for almost 1,000 miles.
I drove it last night and didn't have the issue. I drove it again this morning to several places and everything was fine.
I've got a tuner with a code reader. Would something like the above problem register a code?
I've not stuck my head under the truck yet (it's cold and dark out.) What sensors I might need to check out? Is there a testing procedure available to ID the faulty component?
The battery is disconnected for the night, but I'd sure like to get this thing sorted before I hit the road for work again this week.
I just picked up a 2001 Ford F350 4x4 7.3 SRW last week. I've been slowly going through the truck replacing everything. One thing I've always liked on trucks is the cab clearance lights, which this one doesn't have (it's a base XLT with no options).
So I looked on Amazon and ended up ordering this....
But then I realized that the harness isn't included, and I can't find it for sale anywhere. I searched the Ford parts site but can't seem to find it.
I'm thinking about returning those lights and getting this set: [URL] .... But I'm not 100% sure that the harness that's included will fit my truck, it only says Ford.
We have a 1994 350 ford dually. the brake light and the abs light came on and it has no brakes. replaced the master cylinder ... still no brakes. what next?
