I need an expert. 2007 Ford F-350 King Ranch and tonight, the wife and I were coming home from friends house and I tried to buckle my seat belt. The receiver would not click and hold the seat belt. Cannot find the replacement. What should I do?

View 10 RepliesFor the first time I noticed a little glowing light[s] in my drivers seat belt buckle [female end....actually 2 lights, one on each side of the female part where the male end inserts]. It glows for about 10 seconds when starting up. Probably useful for connecting seat belt in the dark. What it does at night under normal driving conditions.
I did not see the same light on the passengers' side. Don't know if there is not one or it only works when there is weight in the seat.
Esoteric little item....but just wondering if there should be the same light on the passenger side and , if so, where /how to troubleshoot? Would it be a bulb or built in to the buckle? I did not check rear seat....I will do that next...
My "new" truck has a sluggish seatbelt on the driver's side. It won't retract all the way.
How do I get to the mechanism to have a look at it or put in a replacement?
The belt on this one comes out of the top of the seat, not from against the door.
The top mounting point on my seatbelt is squeaking like crazy. The guide for the seat belt is rubbing on the piece it bolts to because the plastic tabs on the plastic cover have worn out. Where to get a new one of these? Its just the plastic triangle shaped cover that goes over the seatbelt mount.

The problem is while being worn sometimes they will not let you lean forward- they act like you have a foot on the brake pedal and are locked-you have to lean back and forth several times to get them to let out if reaching for something on the dash etc..
I have searched the forum and found many issues where the seat belts stopped retracting- but my issue seems to be unique in that the seat belt will at times 'Not Let Out" when you lean forward.
Truck is 08 f350 lariat with minor issues. Both seat heaters don't get hot. Click is heard under driver seat. Both dash lights come on. No heat. Steering wheel fan control won't turn fan up. Turns it down fine.
PO put aftermarket HID with ballasts and bulbs and factory light housings. Factory housings scatter light and they are waaayyy bright. Can't drive anywhere with out blinding someone. What aftermarket projectors will work with HID set up I already have?
Went to pick up a serpentine belt, they are diff for warm weather package. How do you tell if your 2008 F350 has the "Warm Weather Package".....

View 5 RepliesI'm not sure if this is an epidemic or not but I thought I remembered seeing some others with this issue: when driving alone, usually in cooler temps, the passenger seatbelt buckle near the console rattles like a mofo. I have seen some reports of people getting it fixed at their dealership, some managed to get it done under warranty with some effort. I'm considering trying to fight the dealership to do it under warranty when I go in for my 30k service, but wondering if it's something I could tackle at home. Hasn't been too bad since the weather warmed up so not even sure I could duplicate the issue for the dealer tech.

I can change the tone by how hard I push down on the accelerator. I thought it was a radio issue and turned the radio off and got no change. Turned the a/c off, no change. Down hill or coasting, nothing.
View 3 RepliesOn my 2007 f350 when I hit my brakes it pulsates... So I put new rotors and brakes up front.. The pins are good and the calibers are good... put it all back together and still the same thing... the slower you go the slower the pulsating gets... And I can actually feel the pedal move in and out when it does it... I'm lost....
View 14 Replies2007 6.0l cranks but no start. Read all the forums and I think I performed all the checks. Getting a ficm/ cam sensor/crank sensor no sync. I'm also getting 84.70% at the ipr while cranking. Do I have multiple problems? Watched videos on either the ficm or ipr percentage but not one that had both problems. Getting injector clatter and fuel pump runs. Didn't see anything obvious with the harness.
View 5 RepliesHow does the 5.4 hold up for towing? Which trans works the best with this motor? I have a 5th wheel car trailer that I pull with a 36 hp tractor and loader on it sometimes. Would the 5.4 be to small or should I just stick with my powerstroke?

I have the ford upfitter switches in my 07 f350 and i had two flashing lights wired to switch 4 (10 amps) for snow plowing. The lights were LED and shouldn't have drawn much power but suddenly the lights stopped working because thers no power going to the fourth switch. They work on all the other switches. What could be the problem?
