Just bought my first 04 F250 super duty Xl...4x4 Ext Cab...need to get this bench seat out and buckets and console in!!! I hear this is easy swap but never done before, or believe anything is easy.
View 1 RepliesGot an 03 f250 supercab, and looking to get rid of the old front bench seat for 2 regular front seats and installing a big middle console, will this be kinda hard? I got in my truck now the driver seat is seperate from the 2 seater bench seat and it has the flip down middle console to where you can flip it up for somebody to sit in the middle or flip it down for the cup holders etc.. I want to get rid of that and just have the 2 front seats and an big middle console. I think some of the 1998-2003 f150 come with this set up
View 3 RepliesI have seen plenty of the king ranch models that have the rear Captains chairs. My question is, I have a 03 Lariat Crew Cab w/ a bench seat, however, I would like to remove the bench and put 2 captains chairs in the back. Is this possible without lots of interior body modifications?
View 14 RepliesI was told that I have to disconnect both batteries if I want to remove my seats by a car-stereo place. Is this true? They said it was because of the air bag sensors.
Gotta remove the center seat to get an amp out from under there and to do that, you have to remove or at least loosen both front seats.
Is there a way to do this without disconnecting both batteries?
So, I bought a set of seat covers yesterday and I'm trying to install them this morning. Surprise, surprise!! The head rests won't come out. I tried pushing the little button and pulling up hard, No good. I look for a little clip or some other retaining device. Nothing. How do I get the front head rests out?
View 5 RepliesI would like information how to remove the rear seat back on a 2012 F250. I want to remove the head rests and from what I can find out they are bolted solid to the rear panel. I asked the same question earlier and got a reply for 2011, would that be the same? Is there any place I could get a schematic, a picture is worth a thousand words.

View 2 RepliesI'm replacing the passenger side manual hub on my '04 F250. I did a brake job last year and I'm sure I cleaned/inspected/lubed the hubs. I can't seem to get this one out. I have the snap ring out and with a rubber mallet, I can get it wiggle just a little. I've loaded up around where the snap ring went with penetrating oil.
Am I missing something? It's just a snap ring and the hub should just pull out, right?
I tried searching and googling but came to no results, unless its like similar trucks. How do the 4x4 shift remove? I have an 04 F250 and someone decided to put the shift on sideways so the 4HI and etc read upside down before I purchased the truck. Do I just rip the thing off?
View 1 RepliesThe kid at body shop called, he has the cab ready to swap onto the 04 gas job except for the shifter cable at the trans. I have never done one either, and do not know how to take it off. I thought it was like the old trans where it was in a plastic grommet, but the cable almost looks like it is grafted to the trans. How to get the cable off the trans shift arm?
View 2 RepliesI'm wanting to grease the center spline on my drive shaft. I got the 4 bolts off with a 12mm 16 point boxed in wrench but can't get the drive shaft loose from the rea rend. I don't blindly want to go beating it out of the yoke with a hammer to try to knock it loose (but I will if I have to). What am I missing to get this shaft out?

What is the procedure to remove the Driver's side Rear Sway Bar Link upper bolt? - the link attaches to the frame. The nut is on the inside of the frame with about 1/3" to 2/3" clearance between the frame and the fuel tank. Of course, the frame's "C" shape faces towards the inside.
I want to remove the 4x4 stickers on my 2014 SD box. I think it looks cleaner without them. Are they difficult to remove or does the hair dryer trick and then some Goo-Gone do the trick without a big time effort? The last thing I want to do is make a mess of the paint finish.

Replacing these lines? I don't care about breaking the old one, but I still need to find a way to install the new one.
I am wanting to take off the center console lid to recover it. The only way I see to remove just the lid from the truck is to hit the rod out that is in the hinge. I was hitting pretty hard with a punch and it wasn't moving. I don't really want to break it so I'm asking if there is a different way or if I just need to use more force?!

View 3 RepliesI have replaced both the transmission lines except the one that connects the two. It is the one near the top of the transmission that is about a foot long and goes from the fitting of the one transmission line to the other fitting for the other line. My questions is how do I remove it? It seems to be permanently affixed to the fittings, so those it come attached to new fittings?
View 2 RepliesI dont want to pry on the wrong thing and brake something. I am trying to remove the headlight. I was told that their are some pins that need to be pulled up. I dont see any pins. I do see two plastic clips on each side of the headlight. They are flat on the top with a small slot in them. There is a "T" stamped on the top of it. Are these the pins? I tried to find a shop manual today without much luck. Looking for a picture to show the pins that need to be removed.

View 1 RepliesI can't figure out how to get my front brake rotors off to replace them. I removed the caliper and thought the rotors should just come right off but they didn't? I then pulled the hub out and there was a retaining ring with a good size nut behind it , but you shouldn't have to remove the hubs to remove the brake rotors should you?
The stats of the truck are 04 f250 4wd w/manual hubs!
