I just bought an 04 F350 with the 6.0 diesel. I have the trip computer but it doesn't seem to be working, the screen is just off. Tried the buttons, nothing. Checked the manual, can't find anything. Is there a trick I'm missing? Or is mine broken?

I just bought my excursion, an 04 and the trip computer is not working, its dead, when the truck lights are on, the two buttons above light up, but thats it, its as if it has no power, I cant find a fuse for it directly?

2004 F-350 6.0 4X4 Manual transmission. When I drive on the freeway I can turn on the cruise system w/ the On switch. When I then use the Set button the green dash light comes on but immediately goes off when I release the button. Hold the button, the green light flashes until the button is released.
If I push in the clutch peddle while coasting down a hill and attempt to turn on the CC the light does not come on. Similarly with the brake peddle depressed. Periodically the ABS light comes on and I can tell by the brake peddle feel there is an issue with the ABS.
Additionally, the speedo is not accurate. I have an aftermarket GPS. When driving with traffic in a 65 I am reading about 55. My GPS confirms the speed of 65. The speedo flutters with about a 5 MPH span.
Yes, I have tried the Cruise Control Self diagnosis. It does not work on my truck. Key on w/Off button depressed and nothing.
I have checked for codes w/ Auto Enginuity. C1229 & C1184 both come up.
I have replaced the Vehicle Speed Sensor at the top/front of the rear differential.
I have replaced the Cruise Control Cut out Switch on the master brake cylinder.
Both parts are from Ford parts department.
So... What now?

I have a 2004 350. Turn signals quit working don't come up on dash either but when I turn the flashers on the left turn signal on come on that's on the dash and the lights. I replaced the turn signal relay that's under the radio. The old one would buzz when I turned the turn signal on but nothing would come up the new one clicks as it should but I'm still not getting turn signals lights on dash nor the light it's self. The flasher is still like it was only the left one comes on.

2004 ford f 350 super duty, 6.0 Liters international diesel, 4door, 4x4, long bed, dual rear wheels. Over 200,000 mileage. I have no power to the trucks brake lights and no power to the tow plugs trailer brake lights, which is the center left and the center right tow plug blade style contacts, while using a 12 volt test light! All fuses are showing good and I replaced the brake switch at the brake pedal, and I also replaced the towing plug with the short wire and connector at rear of truck which is under the rear bumper and the frame mounted tow hitch bar
- Are there any relays that control the truck brake lights and the trailer brake lights ?
- If yes where are the brake relays exactly?
- Have I missed or not done something else to correct the problem?

Ihave a 2004 F350 4x4 Dually diesel. While in my hay field I hit a small rut and the truck bounced. About two seconds later all gauges and lights/windows quit working and the truck ran rough. I have a Banks system and it registered a code 33. Maybe 32 error. Book says it is an airbag deployment. They did not deploy. So I drove out of the field and turned it off to see if that would reset the gauges. No, not only that but the gauges all swept the faces from off to full to off and the truck would not start, just chatter.
I disconnected both batteries and waited. Reconnected and it started, but the gauges quit after 10 seconds..... Everything flatlined even the banks IQ. But the truck kept on running. Got back to the ranch and the batteries went flat overnight... Charged them up, starts fine gauges work but alternator puts out 11.5.

I just bought a used 2004 F-350, 4x4, crew cab, short bed, 6.0L diesel. I'm having a WTF moment on fuel. Gage indicates just under 1/4 of a tank of diesel but the on-board computer is flashing like crazy stating 5 miles to empty, what the hell is that all about?

I have a 2003 Ford F-350 6.0 it's srw lariat edition it has Manual hubs but electronic 4x4 switch I have changed all fuses and relays but still the light won't come on I've tried manually locking the hubs and still nothing....

I have read that I can remove my trip computer and re-soldier my connections. I have looked all over and can not find out how to remover the trip computer to do the repairs.

On my 05 350, I noticed the other day that my 4wd wasn't working, when I needed it of course. I quick test this morning and I discovered my PS hub is not locking in. I've read a lot of posts about it being the opposite, the auto portion causing a problem. In my case, it won't lock in in auto or manually turning. I can lock it in, spin the wheel and the axle shaft isn't turning. The pressure is the same as the other side, not too loose or too stiff. Can I pull the hub assembly off and rebuild it? I watched a video about that, but not sure on how my issue would allow me to work on it.

The 4wd on my 2000 f350 has just stopped working? I have used it a few times since getting it a few months ago and then last night I was going to play paintball in the woods and the 4wd would not engage? when i put it in 4wd it would act like the truck is in neutral and then it lurched forward? The front hubs have the option on them to turn, but I never had to turn them before and they do not move when I tried to? What could be causing the 4wd not to function?

I'm having a little problem with my F350. I've had it for about a month now and the cluster had no problems or whatsoever. Then, I drove it today and I noticed that the instrument cluster is not working at all. The lights work, but the gauges wouldn't move. When I turn the key before starting it the chime is beeping faster than it usually did before and it wouldn't shut off unless I close the door. It also only indicates the airbag and battery light. I checked all the fuses and they were good especially #15 or #16 can't remember it right now.
I don't know if its related, but this past saturday I was messing with the overhead instrument cluster for the gas mileage and all that. I soldered some of the relays back on and that was it. I started the truck after I did all that, but everything was still working. It's been bugging me all day today.

My 7.3L GPR does not trip when the key is turned over. I have the 12v constant and never get anything out of the two smaller wires. I can lay a screwdriver over a small pole and the 12V constant and I get the 12v on ther other larger pole, and around 8v on the smaller poles. My wait to start light does come on and stays on for a short period of time. I have ohmed out the glow plug relays and the injectors.
Here are my numbers passenger side (front to rear)-----0.6, 0.5, 3.8, 3.4, 3.4, 4.0, 0.5, 0.8
and the driver side was (front to rear)-----1.0, 1.0, 3.7, 3.4, 3.4, 3.4, 1.0, 1.0...
My questions would be is there a problem with my PCM or is it just more likely the wire from the GPR to the under hood connector at PCM. If so where can I find a wireing layout to test that. One last thing with my truck is that it has an after market alarm with keyless start that no longer works and is just in valet mode. Not familiar with the way these alarms are wired do they cut into the wire that turns on the GPR. Could this just be my whole issue?

I have the ford upfitter switches in my 07 f350 and i had two flashing lights wired to switch 4 (10 amps) for snow plowing. The lights were LED and shouldn't have drawn much power but suddenly the lights stopped working because thers no power going to the fourth switch. They work on all the other switches. What could be the problem?

I have a 2009 F 350 6.4, fully deleted with a Mini Maxx Tuner , CAC pipe, and CCV mod, other than that the truck is stock. I have put 100,000 miles on the truck and haven't had any real problems but recently that has changed. My 4x4 doesn't work, Traction Control is gone, Tow Haul mode is gone, Cruise Control gone, basically everything controlled by a button is now gone.If it was one of these issues and not everything at once I would check for fuses, broken wires, etc... But, everything stopped working at once. Not having traction control or cruise control, but I tow heavy all the time so tow haul is a must as it's the only thing that engages the engine brake.

I have a 2007 F350 XLT, Super Cab, chassis cab, V-10, 4x4. I ordered it new, it now has 97,000 miles. It is equipped with a 9' aluminum flatbed. I tow it behind my motorhome and also carry a truck camper (not when towing it!).
I don't think the front brakes are working 100%. I have 2 sets of wheels and tires (19.5s for hauling the camper). Every time I change over, I check the brake pads for wear. Over the first 80,000 miles there was very little wear on the rear pads. In 2014 I had almost a complete brake failure while traveling. I took it to a Ford dealer, and they determined the brake booster was bad. They replaced the booster and flushed the brake system. I didn't think the brakes felt right afterward, but I carried on. By 95,000 miles, the rear brakes were worn out. I feel like the rear brakes are doing most of the stopping now, thus wearing out much faster than they were.
I just ordered a set of service manuals for the truck (9.5 years late on that!) hoping to figure out something. I like the truck, it meets my needs, and I hope to keep it quite a while longer. I took it in to the local dealer to replace a leaking rear pinion seal. They found and replaced the worn pads. I trust them to the extent that the pads were worn, as I had already noticed an acceleration in wear. Local dealer that replaced the pads has no idea what could be up. They did clean and lube the front calipers at the same time, but I noticed no difference in brake feel. Stopping power is definitely worse than before the brake failure/ booster replacement.
What might cause this? The only things that come to my mind is a problem with the proportioning valve or maybe the master cylinder. I don't know much about the details of the ABS system. Is there anyway that might be causing the issue? I would rather not just start throwing parts at the problem...

I just bout a F350 V10, 2008. All is great except for the clearance lights. I took advice from this site....checked the bulbs....replaced the fuse....still doesn't work. There is no damage on this truck. Is there something special I need to do to turn these lights on?

I have a 2008 F350 and my automatic hubs won't work, also when I turn the AC on there is heat coming out of one side of the vents. I am assuming this is a vacuum leak somewhere but my vacuum pump doesn't run steady? I thought if there is a vacuum leak then your pump should run steady? The 4X4 works fine by locking in the hubs
