I have a 2003 F250 Lariat with the OEM power mirrors with the turn signal on them. I let someone drive my truck and they hit something with the mirror and broke the plastic lens. The mirror housing itself is fine. I can't find just that lens anywhere!

The Orange Reflector on the integrated turn signal is cracked. The black housing has a little crack too, but is so minor I could just leave it.
I don't trust the parts man at the stealership...
Are the orange reflector and the black mirror housing all 1 piece? How to remove that outer housing to replace it?
I did some reading on here this morning and ended up at 1A Auto looking for mirrors. I want to make sure I get the correct thing before ordering. I have a '04 250 with factory tow mirrors that are power mirror and turn signal/clearance light. I want to upgrade to the '08 style. Which of these would work? I would think either, but I'm not sure about the wiring harness?

I've done a bunch of searches and can't really find much. The turn signal in my 03 SD doesn't work, and the back side is loose, probably a broken tab. I have cranked the mirror up, down, right and left, popped the tabs loose yet it feels like I'm missing one or a screw. I read that I may have to "Pop" my mirror off to get to stuff. The dealer said I have to buy a complete mirror assembly just to change a freaking bulb on an 03?

View 11 Replies2013 f-250 crew cab short box, 6.2 gas with 48k miles. Right rear turn signal does not work...SOMETIMES. I took the brake light assembly off...bulb is good, turned on signal and the bulb will flash so I put it back together then drove a couple miles and then signal quits working again. I can't find any loose/corroded/bad wires at the bulb socket and I can't get the bulb to quit working when I have taillight assembly apart, (trying to replicate failure). There are never any blown fuses either.

Is the lens on OEM fog lights removeable? Mine is fogged up and discolored, so was wondering if the unit comes apart where I can clean & reseal ?
Or just buy a new set ?
I'm having a turn signal issue with my '02 F-250 that started this morning out of the blue. Seems that when the signal switch is set for a right hand turn and the brakes are applied, the signal will then become solid, not flash, and then blow the fuse. Evidently something with the brake light circuit is overloading the turn signal circuit and not canceling when the turn signal is activated.
Here are a couple of things I have tried to narrow down the culprit.
1) Left turn signal works fine regardless if the brake lights are operating.
2) Brake light circuit operates fine by itself.
3) Right turn signal works fine but there seems to be a back-feed of power causing the center third brake light as well as the left side rear brake light to flash in unison. If brake lights are then activated, the flash stops and becomes constant thus blowing the fuse.
4) Emergency Hazard lights work perfect but the center third brake light again flashes as well which reverts back to some type of back-feed of power. Also, if brake lights come on, flashing turns to constant light and then blows the fuse again.
I guess my question is,. does this seem like the multi-function switch needs replacing or could this be a relay issue of some sort? I don' think its a ground issue simply because the left turn signal circuit as well as the center brake light circuit are both being breached when the right turn signal is activated. Your thoughts?

View 9 RepliesOk so my fire station has a 2003 f550 rescue truck with a rescue body with the round tail lights, we recently upgraded them to the LED ones that are much brighter but of course it flashes at the speed of sound. The question I have is:
1. the relay {flasher} is located on the driver side inner fender? I think....
2. does the same EP-27 relay/flasher fix the problem?
I picked up a set of harley davidson look-a-like headlights online for my 05. I go to install them and when I tighten them up it causes the turn signal bulbs to push in towards the fender on both. I put my hand back there and it feels like the bulb socket is being forced against the header panel assembly. Am I missing something?

View 11 RepliesBackground: Some inconsiderate fellow manually collapsed my mirror for me and now it will not fully swing open. I can force it, but will not lock in the full open position. I'm sure the locking mechanism is jammed or worse broke, who knows.
I've removed the mirror from the vehicle but am not sure how to get to the inner motors without breaking something.
I whacked my passenger side mirror on my 2016 F-250.
It look like I got lucky and only broke the chrome "skull cap" and knocked the mirror out of it. The fold, telescope and power adjust all still seem to work fine.
I see Ford sells just the Skull Cap and the mirror as separate parts - a complete mirror assembly.
My first question is how does the mirror attach to the base? There are a couple holes in the gray colored base that tilts - does it clip/snap into those holes? There isn't any adhesive residue so I am confident it isn't glued on.
My second question is what is the plug on the bottom of the mirror for? It has a slot that a screwdriver can fit in and it pops off and there is a plug on the interior side - what is this and what is it for?
Buddy has a problem on his '03 F-450 cab and chassis. When he turns on a turn signal, everything is OK...but it goes out when he applies the brakes. Also, the brake failure light is lit up on the dash, despite the brakes being fine. These problems happened at the same time. I'm think a ground, but not sure where to look.

The bulb turns on when on parking lights; it just won't blink.

When I turn on the ac or heat It blows a 10 amp fuse that goes to the blower relay. It was occasionally now it's all the time.Blower ok, fan speed resistor ok. What or where to look.

View 1 RepliesI have a 2006 F250 and the other morning I came out and found the rear view mirror laying on the cab floor. No biggie, I'll just glue it back on. Then I noticed the small black decal looking thing on the inside of the windshield. My question is, does this have to come off in order to re-install the mirror with standard Permatex mirror adhesive, or do I just put adhesive on top of it? Also, is there a different, specific adhesive used here that won't crack the windshield 2 weeks from now, like I read. Took a closer look and realized they used a thin adhesive patch to attach the mirror. I'll get one from the dealer.
