All of a sudden my cluster light don't work. Like my all my warning lights work fine. Just when I switch my headlights on my cluster doesn't want to light up green anymore or the green lights for my climate controls. It's a 2002 F350 with a 5.4 in it. Where to start looking?
View 3 RepliesI'm having a little problem with my F350. I've had it for about a month now and the cluster had no problems or whatsoever. Then, I drove it today and I noticed that the instrument cluster is not working at all. The lights work, but the gauges wouldn't move. When I turn the key before starting it the chime is beeping faster than it usually did before and it wouldn't shut off unless I close the door. It also only indicates the airbag and battery light. I checked all the fuses and they were good especially #15 or #16 can't remember it right now.
I don't know if its related, but this past saturday I was messing with the overhead instrument cluster for the gas mileage and all that. I soldered some of the relays back on and that was it. I started the truck after I did all that, but everything was still working. It's been bugging me all day today.
I have a 2001 F350 and instrument cluster lights will not work. Fuses are good and the gauges still work just not the lights.
View 5 RepliesI own a 1999 F350 CC SRW w/ 7.3L PSD engine. My turn signals stopped working suddenly. I've checked the fuse panel under the dash but it doesn't show any fuse for the turn signals.
My hazards do work although I noticed something very strange. When I tilt the steering column down the hazards stop working and when I tilt the column all the way up they work again. Still no turn signals though.
I have no 4x4 lights on in cluster when turn the key in the on position and it doesn't engage when I turn my 4x4 selector. And I don't hear anything in the relays .
View 14 RepliesI have a 2012 F350 XLT that came out of Canada. So of course the speedometer is in KM. (Large numbers are km and smaller numbers are mph). I am trying to find out if I can simply change out my cluster with a mph cluster???
View 4 RepliesI just bout a F350 V10, 2008. All is great except for the clearance lights. I took advice from this site....checked the bulbs....replaced the fuse....still doesn't work. There is no damage on this truck. Is there something special I need to do to turn these lights on?
View 2 RepliesMy daughter came home a bit ago and told me the backup lights on my '02 F350 were on. Pretty odd because the keys were in my pocket at the time.
When I opened the door to the truck, I noticed a faint electrical smell and noticed the fan for the environmental controls was running as well.
I'm guessing the light issue is probably a sensor or something at the transmission but why would the blower be running as well?
Early last week I finally decided to try and figure out why my cruise control hadn't been working and discovered fuse F2.34 was blown. Replaced it and went through the test procedure described here: [URL] ....
No issues and the cruise is working again. I had to take it on a road trip for work the following day and didn't have any issues for almost 1,000 miles.
I drove it last night and didn't have the issue. I drove it again this morning to several places and everything was fine.
I've got a tuner with a code reader. Would something like the above problem register a code?
I've not stuck my head under the truck yet (it's cold and dark out.) What sensors I might need to check out? Is there a testing procedure available to ID the faulty component?
The battery is disconnected for the night, but I'd sure like to get this thing sorted before I hit the road for work again this week.
2002 f350 7.3 diesel automatic. The cruise stopped about a 1/2 year ago and i have done the recall and replaced the steering wheel switch. but it still doesn't work. the horn works and speedometer works.

View 3 Replies4x4 dash indicator light stopped working on my father's 2002 F-350 V10 about 8 years ago and I'm trying to see if I can fix that problem.
Unsure exactly when this problem began, but when a mechanic replaced front wheel hub about 8~9 years ago, automatic hub lock stopped working. Back then, I thought that is why 4x4 indicator stopped working.
When I removed hub to replace ball joint 2 years ago, I discovered yellow O ring was not installed and that was the reason why automatic hub lock stopped working. Now I installed new O ring and vacuum seal, automatic hub lock works. However, 4x4 indicator on the dash still does not work.
I thought may be bulb went out, but when I tested dash bulbs with self test mode, 4x4 indicator light turns on. Also I believe that lamp is LED not regular bulb.
When I pulled DTC, I get P1879 - Powertrain Transmission Transfer Case 2-Wheel Drive Solenoid Circuit Failure. From what I searched this indicates failure at vacuum solenoid for front hub locks, but it is working fine. What is going on?
I have a 2008 F350 Super Duty Regular cab long bed 4X4 I have no cargo light and no third Brake light, checked and even replaced bulbs. Still have no lights up top, what to check or how to fix this? Can I tie the cargo light into the dome light inside without screwing something up? I can't understand why they stopped hooking the cargo light to the dome light but this one seems to be wired separate. Would love to get these lights working again. When I bough t the truck the cargo light didn't work and I thought maybe the bulbs were burnt out, I never checked the brake light I tried to get the cargo light working and that's when I found out the brake light didn't work either.

I have power to the multifunction switch when I use a jumper wire to bypass the switch I can make the lights come on depending on which slot I put it in. I replaced the multifunction switch twice just to see if I got a new bad one the first time, but to no avail. I cant run my truck a night without the lights.
2004 ford f 350 super duty, 6.0 Liters international diesel, 4door, 4x4, long bed, dual rear wheels. Over 200,000 mileage. I have no power to the trucks brake lights and no power to the tow plugs trailer brake lights, which is the center left and the center right tow plug blade style contacts, while using a 12 volt test light! All fuses are showing good and I replaced the brake switch at the brake pedal, and I also replaced the towing plug with the short wire and connector at rear of truck which is under the rear bumper and the frame mounted tow hitch bar
- Are there any relays that control the truck brake lights and the trailer brake lights ?
- If yes where are the brake relays exactly?
- Have I missed or not done something else to correct the problem?
Having a problem with my truck and I'm stuck. About 9 months ago my 4wd stopped working. Turn the switch and no light or noise. I took a look at fuses and everything was good there. I let it go but now I need 4wd. Today I checked every fuse and all of them were good. I moved to the relays checked them and they were good but for the heck of it replaced them. Checked for power at the pins. The one that needed power had power. Next I went to the switch had 12 volts there. Pulled switch and test with a multimeter and ohms were good. Went. Down to the motor and tested for power there not power to the motor. Is there anything else I'm missing Esof not working. 2002 f350 7.3 auto....

View 7 RepliesIhave a 2004 F350 4x4 Dually diesel. While in my hay field I hit a small rut and the truck bounced. About two seconds later all gauges and lights/windows quit working and the truck ran rough. I have a Banks system and it registered a code 33. Maybe 32 error. Book says it is an airbag deployment. They did not deploy. So I drove out of the field and turned it off to see if that would reset the gauges. No, not only that but the gauges all swept the faces from off to full to off and the truck would not start, just chatter.
I disconnected both batteries and waited. Reconnected and it started, but the gauges quit after 10 seconds..... Everything flatlined even the banks IQ. But the truck kept on running. Got back to the ranch and the batteries went flat overnight... Charged them up, starts fine gauges work but alternator puts out 11.5.
I have a 2000 F350. I'm tired of my gauge cluster. No matter what, within a year one of the LEDs has a diode that starts to flicker and flash and makes my gauge cluster dance. I'd like to solder in a series of individual LEDs and do away with the expensive bulbs that always fail. The bulbs I soldered into my HVAC have never given me any issue, so I figured this would be a good fix for that and the awful hotspots.
I have torn down the gauge cluster partially before. when you pull the gauge faces off as a unit (including the various electrical components tied to the back of the gauges), there is a circuit board at the top of the cluster. It has two cables that plug into the main face part that pulls away from the white plastic chassis. Need to successfully unplug the cables in order to separate the gauge assembly from the chassis? I don't like the idea of soldering so close to it while having the chassis part propped up.
Got my 02 f350 stuck in the mud a while back and had to get a deuce and a half to pull me out (F250 couldnt do it). Anyway since then my front parking/running lights don't work.
-I have checked the voltage at the bulb socket....nada
-I have of course checked the fuse and its fine (checked ALL fuses)
-ALL other running lights are working including top clearance lights, dually fender lights, etc.
I have a new to me 2011 f350 diesel lariat. It came with 18" wheels with the TPMS that I recently sold and purchased a set of 20" 2015 wheels which also have the tpms in them. I am getting the error on my information cluster. I've tried to reset the tpms using the owners manual to no avail. I can get it to go into the learn mode but when I start letting the air out of the first tire the air just keeps coming out and it won't register.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2000 f350 XLT SD v10 gas. The radio works, the heater works and the power windows work too. It's just the cluster. Lights work in the cluster it's the gauges are dead truck starts fine.
