View 6 Replies1999 F250 CCSB Lariat 5.4, 2 wheel drive. I plan to replace the Driveshaft Center Bearing in the next few days. What size is the Nut that I have to remove to remove the yoke next to it so I can press the bearing off?
View 4 RepliesIn my attempt to remove the auto locking hub on my 2000 F-350 4x4, I found that it would not slide out. I removed the retaing clip and the hub should of be able to come out with a couple wiggles, it seems to have seized inside the hub. I tapped it with a rubber mallet on all sides. Any thoughts as to other alternative methods of removing the hub locker ?
View 14 RepliesWhat size socket I need to remove the driveaxle hub bolts from this car? I can see the bolts are considerably larger than the socket I have for my Ford Tauruses, and I would like to eliminate the guess work before I go to carquest to get the proper socket. Unfortunately bringing the car to the store and trying sockets until I get one that fits is not an option, since the car is not running right now.
View 3 RepliesHave a 2005 F350 4x4 SRW 5.4L with roughly 90k miles and I am replacing the original plugs. Broke three out of seven which was expected and have them replaced. You probably noticed I wrote 7 plugs above. The 8th plug which happens to be the #8 plug is giving me fits. I can't get a socket on it. The socket spins smoothly by hand with no ratchet over the plug but no upward movement. I cleaned the base of the hole thinking it might have some debris preventing it from hitting bottom. From what I can see after cleaning and blowing it out, the base of the hole is clean and there plug appears to have something for the socket grab onto. Out of curiosity, I have tried smaller and larger sockets in both 6 and 12 point with no luck. Is it possible the plug was set too deep in the head from the factory?
View 13 RepliesChecking out my 2007 gasser this weekend an found that my third brake light does not work....no power to the socket. The cargo lights on either side of it in the same assembly work fine so I believe the ground to be intact. My question is does this light have it's own fuse? if not where should I start looking for the solution to my problem?
View 1 RepliesSo just as I think I have it figured out what size tire and wheel combo I want to go with, I began thinking about going from an 18" wheel to a 17". I can save some cash, have a few more tire size options and save on tire weight.
I know alot of guys go up to a 20" setup but that's just not my preference on trucks.
Any negative to doing this? 315/75/17 tire size interests me. Had that on a Wrangler and liked the look. Going to look a little more at 17" sizes before deciding.
I am looking to replace the 4x4 offroad sticker on the side of the bed and wanted to know the dimensions. I've been looking on eBay because dealer wants way too much for stickers. just want to make sure I get the correct size.
View 5 RepliesI bought a new 2016 F350 SRW and ordered the 17" aluminum wheels with 245 tires specifically to put on my 2005 E250 cargo work van.
I bought 20" Platinums for the F350 and used the existing lug nuts.
Now I need the flat faced washer type lug nuts for the van so I can use the new aluminum wheels. Are they the same thread as the F350?
i know the 05-07 grille badge is 9 inch the 08-11 is also 9 inch and the 11 up is 12 inch
wondered if there was a ford oval that was between the 9 and the 12 inch
2010 F250, what size tube do I need to fit on the brake bleeder screw? The tubes I have are all too big and the size marks are no longer legible.

What size the pitman arm nut is? And where to get one? I am lifting my truck soon and I'm going to double nut that baby on there. I know they're prone to loosening. I just wanted to have all the parts before I started.
View 4 RepliesWhat is the thread size/length of the 20 transmission pan bolts on the 4R100? I am replacing the pan since the rust has finally started weeping ATF, and the bolts need to be replaced as well, they have turned into little rusty nubs. So i want to use stainless ones. I made a bone head mistake and crunched the steel brake line between the rear axle and the passenger side sway bar mount. Truck is a 2003 F-250 with a 7.3. I would like to go to the auto parts store, get bulk steel brake line and bend it myself. But, I don't know what size the line is or what size the fittings are. Whatare the sizes???

View 13 RepliesI have the Ford plastic drop in bed liner, and being up in the salt belt in CT, i want to take it out just to see how things look under there. Dont want to be surprised later on if i keep waiting. How do you take this thing out? Just pull the sides out from under the bed rails? You dont have to take the plastic trim that goes on top of the bed sides off do you?
Also, i want to get rid of this thing soon. The best thing to replace the plastic liner? i dont want to just leave it metal, but my dad has had a spray in "rhino liner" in his 04 ranger since the day he bought it and it has held up great. so i am thinking something along that line. How much it would be to have a spray in liner installed?
I heard today that, to remove the engine, the cab has to be raised?
View 13 RepliesI got a new headlamp switch for my 2016 SD. I have the XL work truck with no fog lights. I recently added fog lights and an OEM fog light wire harness. I also got an OEM switch that pulls out to activate the fig lights because the stock switch in my truck operates the headlamps only. What I can't figure out is how to remove the switch.
Here's a photo of the new switch .....
