View 2 RepliesMy interior right turn signal light wont come on. The right exterior bulbs work fine. I swapped the bulb with a new one and it still doesnt come on. Could the socket be bad? Should I have sprayed the cluster bulb socket with contact cleaner?

Also, the hazard lights don't work either. No flashing, no blinking when I turn on my hazards. I've seen many variations while searching? 1994 B3000 2x4 extra cab.....
View 14 RepliesWhile I know this has been covered before, I could not find anything pertinent to 2011-2015 model years.
So, I changed my turn signals to LEDs, and now I have the fast-blink behavior. I realize this is because of the significantly decreased amperage and resistance of the LED modules. I did a similar mod on my 2007, and simply found a replacement low-current blinker relay (on eBay, I think), and replaced it (it was physically located behind the extra small glove box near the middle of the dash.
My questions are, 1) for a 2015, should I use the same method of replacing the blinker relay? 2) Any brand and model that will work for this application and/or where one can be purchased and 3) Where is that relay located on the 2015 model? If not, should resistors be used?
I have a 1999 ranger 4x4 , when I'm going to a slow final stop the abs kicks in ,doesn't do it every time , there's no abs warning light , took it to the ford dealer they scanned it and said it was the left front hub & bearing assembly, said the sensor wasn't reading the back of the bearing assembly. I can't understand way the abs light isn't on, is there anyway to clean that they want to replace the hub & bearing, Is a use hub & bearing replacement a good way to go? They told me I could pull the fuse and kill the abs, but I find three fuses I pull aII three and got a speed sensor check engine code. I hate to replace that hub & bearing when there's no problem with the bearing ,Is there any way to deactivate the abs, by the way it's 4 wheel abs.

So with 172,000 miles my truck has started a new trick. When I turn on the turn signals theyll flash or interrupt normally for a few times then stop. After I turn the signal lever off and back on again they start to flash again only to stop after several times. This happens to both the left and right hand sides. The emergency flashers seem to work alright. Is this a function of the indicator flasher SF631? If so, were exactly is it located?
View 5 RepliesI've been having an electrical issue for the past few months that I've decided to address now that the weather is getting a little warmer.
What happened is the left turn signal was blinking fast, so I assumed bad bulb, and later that day it stopped blinking fast and now I press the lever down to indicate a left turn and there is a quite loud buzzing sound. Sounds like it's coming from where the relays are, but I've replaced them and the bulbs and still nothing has changed.
I've also replaced the multifunction switch to see if that was an issue, but a new one did the same thing so I returned it.
Running lights work all around, but now there are no left blinkers, and also my left brake light doesn't come on. Pulling a trailer I have the same problem, I had the plug tested and only 3 of the pins have anything to them.
I know nothing about auto electrical systems.
I know that the relay will make the turn signals flash fast when a bulb is out or there is a broken circuit, but I am not sure about how the brake light switch is causing this condition. I need to go and check all connections and bulbs, but I see nothing obvious at this point. When the brake pedal is NOT depressed, I get the normal interval of the turn signal. As soon as I touch the brake pedal, it begins to cycle very fast. Remove foot from pedal, and it goes back to normal.
View 5 RepliesBuddy has a problem on his '03 F-450 cab and chassis. When he turns on a turn signal, everything is OK...but it goes out when he applies the brakes. Also, the brake failure light is lit up on the dash, despite the brakes being fine. These problems happened at the same time. I'm think a ground, but not sure where to look.
View 5 Replies My manual 5 speed 99' 2WD 2.5L Ranger is starting to have some small problems here and there. My main concern is when I start the vehicle sometimes, there is no idle. The vehicle will turn over and if I do not hold the gas pedal down it will die immediately after about 2 seconds.
If I hold the gas down so the RPM's stay up (Around 700 RPM's or so, something just a little above 0 to keep it from dying) after about a minute, sometimes few minutes the idle will kick in and I do not need to hold my foot on the gas pedal to keep the truck from dying.
This is about all I know from the problem besides that it does not matter how long my truck is sitting. For example, my truck was sitting for 5 days and I came home and started it up just fine, but after I drove it a few minutes later and stopped driving, when I went to drive it about an hour later the symptoms came back again.
Also, My brakes are acting a little funny. I went through when I first got the vehicle and bled the brakes, took the front rotors in to auto zone or another shop and had them fixed up, and new brake pads. Sometimes when I first start driving the brakes are extremely sensitive, to the point where I apply a little bit of pressure and my truck will start skidding. This goes away after driving for a little bit though.
I have a '99 Ford Ranger XLT 2WD. I've been having this problem with my rear brakes locking up on me while slowing down and pressing the pedal to stop the forward movement. There are four components which could cause the problem. My OEM Ranger Repair Manual suggested to replace the Proportional Control Valve which I did however that did not correct the problem. I don't have the Brake nor the ABS Warning light coming on and they check out OK during the start up. I have no problems braking from any speed except when coming to a stop. I inspected my front disk and the rear shoe brakes and they seemed to look OK. The other components which could cause the problem are the Control Module, RABS valve and the Speed Sensor. My question is: If any of these components malfunction, shouldn't the ABS Warning Light come on?
View 2 RepliesThe other day i noticed my turn signal was blinking rapidly. I found that my drivers side bulb was burned out. I am trying to convert most of my lights to LEDs on my truck and figured that I'd replaced the tail lights with LEDs. After replacing both rear taillights with LEDS I still have the rapid blinking turn signal. Whats the deal? is it just the LEDS or what?
View 13 RepliesI had the intake manifold and battery replaced on my 99 Ranger and now when I got it back it worked just fine except the factory radio wouldn't turn on. Headlights​, blinkers, AC, dash lights, etc. All worked just fine but the radio will not turn on. I bought an aftermarket radio to put in it when it got out of the shop but with the factory radio not turning on I don't want to replace it until the issue is resolved.
View 2 RepliesMy Sub makes a wonderful ticking noise that resembles a turn signal--it continues to tick until i apply the brakes. i have just replaced the brake switch and the noise is still there. All the lights on the vehicle are not illuminated while it is making the noise, it makes the noise while either driving or idling.
View 4 RepliesI recently replaced all my incandescent lights on my 99 ford ranger which makes my truck stand out, but the issue I am having is all my exterior lights work including my turn lights but my running lights will not turn on. Is there any way I can fix this problem. I changed my flasher unit with one that is LED Capatable and i added load equalizers to the back to correct the issue with my turn signals but i just cant get my running lights to work....
View 14 RepliesMy turn signal blinking noise just stopped but turn signal lights still work and no error codes or messages. I know some folks don't like the noise but I do since the noise lets me know that I've left the signal on.
I do not remember seeing it in either fuse box.
My 2003 ranger xlt 4.0 has a stalling problem. The engine light came on in aug and I had it coded at AutoZ and there was a code for the oxy sensor, changed that and didn't work so I took it back. In oct I had it coded and it said the air int temp sensor which i was informed was part of the mas airflow sensor, changed that the beginning of nov, got the computer to reset and it still didn't fix it.
Took that part back and had it coded again a few days later and several codes came up AutoZ code 1732 and the the OEM number to cross for them were: P2195 , P0300 , P0316 , P0174 , P0171 , P2197 . Reset the comp yesterday and as soon as the light came on had them code it again and it came up AutoZ code 1732 OEM # to cross P2195. I guess my next step will be to take it to the dealers to get diagnosed..
My 1999 4.0L v6 Ranger (auto trans) is having some issues. Recently the fuel pump won't turn on as normal when I turn my key. I have to turn the ignition on and off 10-20 times before I hear the pump kick on and I can start it. I already checked the relay and fuel pump shut-off switch. Neither was the bad.

View 4 RepliesI have a 1995 ford ranger v6 4.0 and for this week Ive been having a problem, stalling... It only happens when I do quick "stop and go" driving. Even sometimes at stop lights it wants to stall, the only way to keep it going is to keep my foot on the gas.
Now for a while when its cold or my truck has been sitting for a day or two the truck doesn't start on the first click.
I've had the fuel pressure checked, changed fuel pump, and starter. I have no check engine light on at the moment. Tomorrow I am gonna check with my scan tool just to make sure. But, it could be fuel pressure regulator, idle air control actuator, egr valve? How I should go along doing this?
