My gpa just got a 2010 f150 and when is idling the whole front passenger side seat shakes. ik that is not suppose to happen and I am wondering what is the cause of that?
View 2 RepliesI am looking at using a 2009 F150 XLT to rig up a soil sampling truck. I was hoping to remove the front-passenger and front-centre seat to make room for a probe that will go through the floor into the soil. As I was looking through articles to see if this was possible I read that some newer models dont make this easy, as there are air bag sensors and seat belt sensors that screw up the process. Before going out to look at the truck and make an offer, I was wondering - if there are any tips for removing these seats.
View 3 RepliesOn my 2013 Platinum the passenger's seat seems weak on the cooling versus the drivers. It still works on the passenger's side just not very cool. Is the AC cooling just a fan pushing air through the small holes in the leather seats?

View 11 RepliesThe passenger front speaker on my 11 FX4 has been intermittent for a while. I replaced the door harness as described in TSB 12-11-4 but found the harness may not have been the cause. I have aftermarket speakers in my truck and installed them using Metra speaker harnesses. When pulling the old harness out, I found the connector for the speaker to be full of water. This is likely the issue with my truck but I wanted to share this observation with others who use these little harnesses. These connectors are not assembled using rubber grommets between the leads and the connector housings, which are necessary to make the connection weather/water tight.

Now, I'm just passing this along in the event others are experiencing this issue and also have aftermarket speakers. Before hitting the dealer up for the TSB repair, check to see if you have the same issue as I found. But if you're running factory speakers and have intermittent speaker operation, hit up your dealer for the TSB repair.
Just took my 2014 F150 FX4 to the dealer for a rattle in the front and rear passenger side doors that rattle with the windows down . Sounds bad when you close the door. Dealer told me it was normal. So here I am with a 50,000 dollar truck with 5,000 miles on it and they say that's normal even tho the drivers side doors do not make this noise. Not really happy with FMC these days.
View 14 RepliesI have just purchased a 2010 FX4 5.4l on 5/4 and just found a leak coming from above the passenger side frame horn. It looks like it may be from the condensor but im not 100 percent certain. It is an odorless oil not condensate. It is a slow drip that i found after running the truck for a short time. the puddle it left was about the size of a bottom of a drinking glass.

However, one should not expect to be annoyed by noises inside the cab. For instance, my passenger seat bounces around like a baby's bouncy chair, even when the road is smooth. Surely, I'm not the only one noticing this! How do I shut-up my passenger seat???
2010 Platinum 4X4 SCREW
I continue to get that message whenever about anything is on the passenger seat. Today there was only a wrapper and an empty cardboard box from an oil filter. Together I doubt they weighed more than a few ounces. I normally just clear the message a few times to get it to go away...but today it triggered a seat belt alarm. Is there a way to change the amount of weight that it takes to trigger this message...or is it due to something else?
View 14 Replies2001 Buick Regal LS 3.8L. When I am driving over 20MPH my front passenger side of the car starts to shake. This shaking causes the steering wheel to shake as well. I am not sure what the cause is and if it something that a novice can fix. The front brakes are new with little to no wear on my rotors. I have rotated my tires to see if the shaking stopped or moved to the rear of the car. After the tire rotation the shaking persisted. If I turn the steering wheel sharply I hear a squealing noise. I do not know if that is related or not.

The seat heater module on drivers side went out and the back slider window leaks water bad when we take it through the car wash. Is this possible? We were told nothing of this when we purchased it from this same Ford dealer.
View 14 Replies2011 F150 Screw FX4 drivers seat squeaks. Its in the bottom. It happens when you go over bumps. It doesn't do it all the time, but you can sometimes make it stop by moving the seat forward or back.
View 3 RepliesThe drivers seat heat on my 2010 F-150 stopped working. The passengers side works fine. When I press the button on the dash, it lights for 2-3 seconds, then goes out. I have been looking around all weekend for a fix. I found many posts, but they are older and the equipment I'm seeing on my 2010 F-150 looks different. I found the wires coming from the heating pad. I was going to try and test for continuity but the wires have a plastic fitting and I can't get contact to the wires. I found a diagram on Foreparts.com showing that the heated seat control module is part # 14C724. I was able to locate on the passengers side, but not on the drivers side so I wasn't able to swap and see if that was the problem.

Recently the drivers seat would only recline/move front to back tilt on the outer left most side. The seat back appeared to be frozen on the inner/right hand hinge by the center console. It just twists the seat back if I try to recline or move it at all
Is this a warranty thing or is there something simple like a fuse or plug the at could be the culprit?
I've noticed a noise in my '09 when I first start driving it after being parked at night. I believe it started about a week or two ago. After getting about 50 feet away from the drive way I hear a metallic ping from the passenger side, I'm guessing front. Then nothing else until later in the day when I leave for work. I travel about the same distance from the parking spot and I hear the same noise. Doesn't happen again until the next day. What it could be or how to test to determine the source? I usually engage the emergency brake when I park the truck. I'm going to hold off on doing that for a few days to see if it makes a difference.

Search online, it appeared that the blend door actuator motor would be the problem. I have put in a new one, but nothing changes. What to look at next?
We just got a new 2014.5 LE, but I noticed that front passenger seat in it doesn't recline flat when reclined backwards. We also have 2012 Camry hybrid, and the difference in seat reclining between them is 3/4". 2012 passenger seat reaches back seat when fully reclined, and 2014.5 does not, it has quite a large gap. Is my 2014.5 seat defective and needs to be fixed, or are all of them are made like this now? We had two 2006 Camrys before, and in both of them front passenger seats reclined fully, touching the back seat...
View 8 RepliesThe other day my father and I were driving around town in my pickup, he kept looking in the side view mirror and finally he told me he thought that my bed was not exactly in-line with my cab. When we got to our destination we both got out and looked, and sure enough the bedside protrudes maybe 1/2 a centimeter out on the passenger side where the bed meets with the cab.
This isn't really a great big deal, I mean I've owned this truck for just a hair over two years now and I never noticed, That's how unnoticeable it really is. And do you think this is worth taking it to the dealer for?
I mean, I feel like I'm being a stickler here...It's not noticeable unless you are really looking hard for it as in staring directly down the length or the pickup, and even then the bed looks lined up except for the slight protrusion on the passenger side.

Noticed today that the carpet UNDER the front passenger seat is soaked. The front and rear passenger floorboard carpet is dry. Just the carpet DIRECTLY under the seat.
Nothing spilled, seat dry.
