Vehicle has a vibration most prevalent when cold during a left turn especially first thing in the morning. Feels kinda like 4x4 is on, but its not.
Tech test-drove it and tells me it needs "clutch packs".
Has changing clutch packs to address this issue, and did it correct problem?
If I let him change them, am I in danger of screwing anything else up in the process?
& what the fuxa clutch pack anyway?
Jumped in the truck this evening to go to the store and when I stared it up the left turn signal was blinking. Lifted the arm as usual to cancel and it does not cancel. Cannot get the left signal off unless I hold the turn signal up for the right signal. The right signal does not activate, but the left does go out as long as I hold the arm up. Let go and the left starts blinking again. Tried driving around to see if it would cancel and no luck. The bulbs are all good. I checked the relays in the fuse panel and they are good. Dang thing just won't shut off. It is a 2011 F150 SCREW Platinum w/5.0.
View 4 RepliesI'm getting a scraping sound on hard left turns. I've only noticed it on a steep hill where I work going under five mph and making a sharp left turn. I got out today and it doesn't look like the tire is hitting anything. The shield in front of the tire is slightly looser than the right side, but can't see it making the noise unless something is hitting it. I've read some previous posts that indicated traction control possibly coming on. I have about 4,000 miles, 20 inch tires, and everything stock.

View 2 Replies2010 F-150 owner. Why my left trailer-stop/turn will not work on any of my trailers. This issues has happen to me in the past due to a wire grounding out in one of my trailers, I have fixed the issue in the past by changing the 20amp trailer/tow fuse, this time the fuse looks fine and I am still not having any luck finding the issue. I have went through my manual to see if it could be a different fuse and they all seem to check out ok, I have also messed around with the relays and they seem to be fine too?

For the past 30 k my truck vibrates between 20/30 kmh when accelerating mostly when making a right turn and when engine is warm, feels just like driving with 4x4 and doing a u-turn....
I'll get the transmission flushed but didn't work (does shift smoother though). They said the u-joints were still good ,no play. I don't hear any strange noise either
In the last while i read a lot about trouble with the pinion angle/driveshaft/slip yoke and what all on the newer f150
Can I grease the slip yoke myself easily or? Is there a complete aftermarket driveshaft available that solves the problem permanently instead of temporary or would it be the transfercase? Cause i didn't buy this truck new so not sure if the transfer case oil ever got changed,or does it not need to be changed ever?
2010 F-150 King Ranch. Randomly when turning left, it feels like the left front brake is engaging and it sounds like your anti-lock brakes when you come to a stop on slush or snow. The truck slows with your foot still on the gas, Saturday it came to a complete stop before it released.
I have had it to 2 Ford dealerships, the first could not get the symptom to occur on a test drive and told me there was nothing they could do because they did not now what to look at.
The dealer I bought it from got it to act up, replaced the IWE 2 weeks ago and 3 days later was still doing same thing. My wife dropped the truck at the dealer again Weds.morning, she told them it did it on the way there. I called at 4:30 to check and they said they drove it 2 times and it did not act up.
I have a 2010 F150 Lariat 4x4 with the 5.4. It has around 63,000 miles on it. I purchased this truck last winter and recently have noticed a pretty heavy vibration when the AC is running. It only vibrates when I am at a stop. If I apply a little throttle the vibration seems to go away or it goes away if I shift to neutral. The vibration is not violent but it is above average and I would definitely not consider it normal AC vibration.
View 14 RepliesI have a 09 s crew with 6 1/2' bed also. Lariat, Max tow package (most of the cool toys) I bought it certified pre-owned in April of 2011.
My vibration is between 35 and 45 mph. Not felt in the steering wheel but all the seats feel it. Set the cruise at 40 mph and it will drive you nuts.Dealer has had it a couple days for this and all they have found was a sticky rear u-joint.
I am at 35,500 miles so I am thinking about just dropping it off and saying keep it till you find the problem.
My 2011 3.7 CC seems like it is missing at speed.
If I am around 75 or so in 6th is vibrates, but downshifting to 5th or 4th seem to take it away.
I am going in tomorrow and have the tires rotated and balance, but I think it is somewhere else. It has a little over 42,000 miles
I have a 2103 F150(5500 miles) and a 2013 Ranger Z522 bass boat( 23'-4800 lbs 3000 miles). I get that ole strange vibration between 60 and 65 when towing) My tire dealer balanced all 8 wheels for me. I tried to get my truck to do it by itself but did not notice. It does not do it all the time. I'm going to say about 1/2 the time it does it and then it will not. It only does it at that speed range which to me at one time was a wheel balance problem.
When it does it i can see the head of my trolling motor on my boat vibrate with it. I did try to give the truck a little power to see if it effects it. It did not. I did this because back in the 80's i had a truck that the drive shaft was a little out of balance. Power to the drive chain would effect it enough that you could notice. I've tried to get the truck to do it by itself but can't.
I recently bought a 09 F150 Screw short box. I just hooked it up to my camper for the first time and was measuring height on the corners of the truck to check my WD hitch. I noticed that the driver's side was higher than the passenger's side in the back of my truck. I checked again without the camper on some level ground and found the same thing - approximately 1 1/4" difference at the wheel wells and about 3/4" at the frame. I can't believe that this would be normal, so trying to figure out what happened here - maybe it got rear-ended?

View 4 RepliesEvery once in a while, I'll feel a vibration in the gas pedal. It happens under acceleration, and typically if I'm pushing down and it has not downshifted yet. Then once it downshifts the vibration is less noticeable.
I know there have been issues with the Electronic Throttle Control on these drive-by-wire trucks, particularly on the Super Duty trucks.
Just bought my 2013 Ford F150 Supercrew 4x4 on Saturday. I noticed a vibration at 35 to 45 mph. Its a slight vibration, the whole truck kind of shakes. Really annoying for a truck with less than 200 miles.
View 14 RepliesI have a 2012 FX4, 5.0. The dealer tuned the front rotors and replaced the pads at 19k because of a bad vibration when brakes were applied. Now at 45k, the same thing is starting to happen again. I am pretty sure it is not my driving because my 2001 F150 4x4 had 162,000 miles on it and never had a rotor off of it or turned and was on the 3rd set of pads when I traded it on the 2012.

I have noticed a bad vibration/ grinding in the driveline, mainly after a long trip on the highway and coming to a stop and starting again. And it's noticeable at lower speeds. What this may be caused by. It seems like the rear end is binding but I have had the rear end checked and the level was good.
View 2 RepliesI have just purchased a 2013 f150 supercab 5.0.. Truck has 53000 miles on it. I have known the original owner. It has a brand new set of Michelin tires as it had on it from the factory, same size and same model.
I have taken the truck in and had the tires rebalanced twice as I increase the road speed to 45 mph the vibration starts and is felt in the seats and increases and gets really bad at 55 mph then it decreases a little but still vibrates up to highs speeds.
If I look in the rear view mirror the left rear fender looks to be moving up and down and the right rear fender looks not to have any movement. What to look for?

View 13 RepliesHave noticed lately 2012 4x4 sc with 42,000 k has a slight vibration I guess you would call it you can feel through your fingers at certain speeds. I looked and felt tires which are at approximately 4,000 k from being new and they are wearing on the inside, going to rotate and have it aligned asap.
View 7 RepliesBought a brand new f150 45 days ago.The truck shakes at 5mph and at 40/50 mph. Have had it to the dealer 4 times. Twice they changed a tire and balanced the rest. The truck also doesn't shift properly which they say is normal. It is a supercab with an 8 ft bed,told it is characteristic of this vehicle and they refuse to do anything further to it.
Filed a complaint with Ford Motor and he contacted the dealership,the service manager told them that it does shake and that it runs better than some and not as good as others. REALLY!!! So the resolution is that they gave us a premium extended warranty,with no fix. The problems are classic drivetrain problems and they won't even look at it. I don't know what to do next. I can't even trade it in without taking an 8000.00 hit.
