I have a 2010 f150 super crew, last night when leaving my baseball game I was shocked to find my running lights and my regular beam lights don't work. My high beams work fine but nothing else. I'm pretty sure the lights are an after market light, but I'm not positive since I purchased it used. I looked in manual to check for a fuse issue but I don't see anything regarding the headlights.
View 1 RepliesYesterday my 2010 Prius 4 (98k miles) was normal until I switched the lights from normal to hi beam and then back again. The hi bean works but the regular headlights do not. All other lights work and there are no warning lights lit. Turn signals are normal. Could this be a circuit breaker?

View 6 RepliesI'm currently our of town, and will be so for several months. With that said, my wife told me today that when she pushes the lever forward for the high beams that nothing happens, but when she pulls it to the rear (as if she were only flashing the high beams) they work fine.
I figured I could either order parts while i'm away or start doing a lot of homework to find possible issues/fixes.
i just purchased a 2013 f150 limited truck and my husband was cleaning the battery cables and now the retractable running boards won't work. is there something we have to program now and if so how do i do it?
View 8 Replieson my '13 STX, when you press the "unlock" button on the remote, the running lights come on and stay on for a while. It does this when I open the door as well. Is there a way to disable this? I really have no need for this feature and it will burn the bulbs out sooner.
View 12 RepliesOn 2010 150 had running lights for approx 1 year on both 4 wire and 7 wire then none. Nothing changed, Checked fuses, all ok. Checked on back side of plug, nothing. Everything else works.

View 4 RepliesMy service advancetrac light comes on about once a month, seems random but when it does the turn signals will not work, you have to hold indicator in place for signals to work-not to safe. My local dealer has not been able to fix issue...

But I want to know whats the brightest led that i can use while still fitting in my 09 camry se. (2 reading lights, 1 dome light, 2 reading rear lights, 2 Door courtesy lights, 1 trunk light, 2 license plate lights) I want those lights to blind me when I turn them on.

View 4 RepliesSearched the forums and found a similar problem for a Solara but not carolla. Have a 2009 Carolla s and the low beam headlights don't work. The high beams work, but when i dim them only the fog lights come on (if i have them enabled, which is how its set for my wife now). If i go to the parking lights mode the low beams will come on. Changed the bulbs and fuses are intact. I am wondering if it's a relay or the column switch. I have access to a multimeter, techstream, and have basic auto skills.
View 3 RepliesAll you need to do is pull out the head lite switch find the solid brown wire that is the running lights wire now find the yellow wire this is fog lights wire (these wires are on the gray plug ) you need a 3" piece of wire and 2 blue wire connectors it slips over the wires no cutting any wires then slide wire in the other end of the blue connector after you jump them your fog lights will come on with running lights and will not go off with high beams...

2009 VW Jetta TDI... Both low beam/running headlights are not working. I tried to check the fuses but, according to my owners manual both left and right fuse slots are empty. I don't think both fuses fell out. Where the headlight fuses are supposed to be?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2000 legacy wagon (245k miles) that has a light issue. The running lights and low beam lights do not work and the dash parking break light will not go out. Earlier I had just the low beams not working. They were both blown and I replaced them about two weeks ago. Now they are out again and the dash parking break light stays on. I checked the fuzes and they look good.
View 8 RepliesA friend recently replaced the alternator on my 1991 740 Volvo GL. I got a used one that was a B230FT system, although not sure what that means. I think my 740 GL model is actually a B230F? Anyways, the alternators looked different, the old one was a Denso and didn't have blades. The new one is a Bosch with blades and slightly larger than the original. My friend had to make some modifications to the connections, basically clipping off the end of one of the wires, and exposing the wire so he could connect it to the new alternatlow beam headlights are too dimor.
My car is running, but my to see anything at night so I have to use the brights. And the dash lights, clock, and radio no longer work. The radio does not have "code" on it. It doesn't turn on at all. My mechanic says we have the wrong alternator on there, that the electrical system is different. But other sources said it would work fine. Is this true? Could the wire that he stripped and connected not be fully grounded resulting in these weird electrical failures? I'm still driving the car to work, but it makes me nervous.

View 3 RepliesTrailer light dont work right. If the running lights are on the brakes dont work. If the running lights are off the brake lights work fine. I cant drive at night this is a huge issue for an up and coming transporter. Its not the trailer lights ive eliminated that with my plug checker. Is it the rely? Blown fuse? Or common ford electrical mess up?
