There seems to be an access port of some sort in the top of each of my headlights. What this port is for?

View 6 Replies In an attempt to install HIDs on my 2013 f150 screw 4x4 I hated them and I broke my truck. I blew a fuse for the left headlight which I replaced.
My battery now reads 11.9v, I have no dash or radio lights and my truck won't even attempt to start. I can't exit park either. My door locks inside the vehicle work but my remote is useless. My headlights and dome lights work but that's it light wise.
Is my battery just too low and needs to be "reset"? If not my battery does it sound like a main relay or the body control module or similar?
I'm currently adding some hideaway strobes into my 02 POV and was wondering if any good place to enter wires from the rear of the vehicle? I'm not wanting to drill any holes and worst case I'll go through the firewall with my other runs and run down my door jam. All my connections are behind my rear seat.
View 6 RepliesThe headliner compass occasionally strobes and does not show the time or direction.
View 4 RepliesI just get a hand of a brake blinkers module that when you connected parallel to the brake lights it will blinks and strobes like emergency vehicles. When brake is pressed, the brake lights blinks rapidly and strobes random pattern. It gives more visibility instead just stay on.

View 1 RepliesI have a 2009 corolla XRS with the JBL speaker package and recently received a new stereo GPS unit from eonon, the GM5169.[URL] Their website says its suppose to work with the model car and year, but did not say anything about not working with the JBL speakers.
When I went to install it yesterday the wiring harness did not match up with the set up that was already in the original stereo. The only one that did connect was the controls for the steering wheel.
I just installed BC BR type coilovers on my 2010 Toyota Corolla S and now even driving at 55 on a smooth highway my car is a bit bouncy. Its really bouncy if I hit a dip or hole. The dampening setting is still at factory setting which is 8 clicks from full hard. I haven't lowered the car anymore than just putting the coilovers on so its about .5-1 inch lower than stock I would say.
View 11 Replies[URL]... These are the rims I'm looking to install on my 09 Tiguan. What is/are the possible issues going from 17" VW LOS ANGELES rims to these VMR V701 18 or 19" rims might cause? How much they will through off the speedo, and can it be adjusted to compensates for the bigger rims and tires?
View 9 RepliesCombo of interior and internal LED bulbs. What particular bulb type to get for my MAP lights and license plate lights.
This was suggested by V-Leds for my license plate... [URL] ..... What do you think?
They did not suggest any for the MAP light, I'm thinking these are the ones... [URL] ......
I've got a 2009 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport. I went in to a Jiffy-Lube type of place for an oil change, they showed me I had a dirty air filter and I had them change it. I went in averaging around 25 mpg (between high 24's and mid 25's), and after I left, I began averaging around 20 mpg, it currently reads 19.5. I went back to see if they had installed it incorrectly or left plastic packaging on it or something, but all seemed okay.
View 14 RepliesStarted a while back and comes and goes. Only commonality I have found is the truck needs to be warmed up for it to happen and usually after a few hours of driving. The downshift from 5th or 6th into fourth, at times, produces anywhere from a light to violent clunk, feels like a typical tranny slip. It will do it while in cruise and it will do it if I don't have the cruise on. Can't figure out if it is going to be a tune issue or hardware.
It does it only downshifting into 4th from 5th or 6th, no other downshifting is a problem and usually the 6th to 4th produces the worst results. At highway speeds that is usually a shift from around 2Krpm to just over 3K rpm (6th to 4th) if it is from 5th it is about 2500 to 3K. Start from a stop and go WOT and there are no issues.
Having it in Tow/Haul or not makes no difference as far as I can tell. IT can do it on one hill and the next time be just fine or do it 2-3 hills in a row. After this last trip it will do it at 9K feet or at 60 feet elevation, didn't make a difference there either.
Another issue that may be hurting the computer is the truck originally came with the 235 tires, it now has 285's and the rear is only 3.31. I plan on going with 265's and maybe still a gear change to 3.73's in the future. I usually only notice this on long trips, first was a 1500mile hauling an ATV, second was last week during a 2500 mile empty. Although I have had it do it a few times locally. I figure those bigger tires can't be good especially with that high of a rear for the management system.
What are some pros/cons you have with yours? Both 5.4 supercabs xlt im looking at just cant decide. The 09 has a overall higher rating but its not to much more.
View 6 RepliesYeah, like what I said on other thread (what did you do....) I installed new set of tires. I know most of guys here prefer not to have light on their dash, but I was worried because after I installed it the light did now show up even my new tires doesn't have TPMS sensor.
View 4 Replies I am trying to install the amp and subs that I have. The radio doesn't have a rca jack on the back and I don't know which wires I am suppose to splice into.
by the way I just purchased my 2011 Corolla S 2 weeks ago n loving it!
I would like to install a usb power cord that would somehow run out from the front of my dash (near the windshield). How difficult is this and have others on this site done it (links)? I would like to route the wire to either my GPS or cell phone mount and not take up a cigarette lighter plug.
View 1 RepliesAfter installing a new audio system to my corolla (front/rear speakers, amp) all of my power windows stopped working. None of the controls from any of the doors will work. What could be the problem? A blown fuse perhaps?
View 4 RepliesA friend of mine is giving away its head unit (it has video) from a toyota tundra 2008, can it be installed without too much trouble on my corolla 2013 L?
View 1 RepliesOk so i just installed the trd front strut as my first"upgrade" on my 2009 corolla LE 2 days ago. Immediately i noticed when taking corners there was muchhh much less body roll which i love and i can take corners at a faster speed. BUT i have noticed at highway speeds it feels like the car is "swaying" left and right even if the car is moving in a straight line.Mainly the back of the car feels like its moving back and forth especially when its uneven roads while the front remains "even" Its quite unsettling as it feels like the back of the car will fishtail and lose control at any second. And yesterday it seems even at low speeds around 20 mph it feels like slight swaying. My question is, is this normal simply because everything else suspension wise is stock while the front has a strut bar? Maybe something else is wrong? Maybe its my imagination and its just the uneven roads?
View 14 RepliesI am looking to install a rear view mirror gps system with built in backup camera on my 2011 Corolla S. I have been searching for various different types and so far I have found these two links which look to be suitable.
will the wireless camera work good or is it better to get a wired one? Sounds like the gps system included maps for Canada & US. I am not sure if the camera will fit properly on this car or will it stick out. Also whether running a wire from the mirror to the camera will be challenging.

I'm at my wit's end trying to install cruise control in my 2009 Corolla. I thought it was a relatively easy install, but then after putting the airbag in place, I find that the horn no longer works. I test out the cruise control, and the green "Cruise" lights up on the dashboard..but it doesn't actually work.
