2003 Ford F150, 101,000 miles. While driving, the horn beeps twice, and so does the chirper (makes chipping sound). This is the same noise the truck makes when you reconnect the battery after changing it. Its been really cold lately, and seems to get worse when the road is bumpy.
View 4 RepliesI just bought a 2010 f150 and it came with the single button remote start. I've been reading lots of posts about remote start but none with my issue. Mine when you push the button the horn beeps, ignition comes on, the seat slides forward, then the horn beeps just one time again, and it just sits there with the radio playing and not running. Everyone else is getting a 3 beep error code and I'm getting just the one beep.
View 8 RepliesI am very happy with my 2010 corolla, except for the annoying beeping. I live in a very quiet townhouse row and the cars are parked right in front of the houses. So, when I get up in the morning to get in the car, it beeps when I unlock it and on good weather days when the windows are open, there are at least 20 units that can hear it. It is very embarrassing. What is worse, randomly in the middle of the night, at 230 or 3am, it will beep five times quickly. My neighbors want to kill me! The engine light has been on for a few weeks because I am due for an oil change. Could it be related to that? And how do I turn this thing off?

I unlock the door, open door, and hear a chime/beep - I think its a 'single' chime/beep. Wondering what is causing this .......... I might have had a power cord plugged into the 12V accessory plug, but nothing was attached to the cord.
My 2010 F150 Lariat Supercrew stated this beep yesterday. Every 15 seconds I get one beep. It seems to be coming from the radio, and the louder the radio is, the louder the beep. Even with the radio off, I can still hear it.
I've done lots of searches on this topic, but they all seem to be related to an airbag system issue, where there are 5 beeps in a row. Mine is just one short beep every 15 seconds. Can't find anything in the owners manual about this either.
I have a 2012 F-150 and I think the horn sounds very wimpy. Sounds like a little car horn. Personally, I think Ford needs to put a better horn on their trucks in the future. What have others done to put a stronger, louder, more impressive sounding horn on their F-150?
View 4 RepliesI recently added factory remote start to my truck, installed the antenna, bought and programmed a new 4 button key and had the dealer activate the feature. That part was smooth. I have since bought another 4 button key and cannot get the head part to program. I am following the same steps as before, doors closed, cycle the door locks and leave unlocked with the button on the door. cycle the ignition 8 times, leaving in ON position (with original factory key). the door locks cycle on their own. When I push a button on ANY fob, the horn honks and nothing else happens. Any fob, the new unprogrammed FOB, the existing programmed FOBs, the horn honks. This tells me the new FOB is being read, but not retained.

Am I doing something wrong, leaving a door not shut all the way etc.... Are there any parimiters where it won't remote start and just "beep" the horn?
I have just purchased a 2010 FX4 5.4l on 5/4 and just found a leak coming from above the passenger side frame horn. It looks like it may be from the condensor but im not 100 percent certain. It is an odorless oil not condensate. It is a slow drip that i found after running the truck for a short time. the puddle it left was about the size of a bottom of a drinking glass.

I have a 2013 F150 STX with an air bag light that comes on randomly, I have had the truck in 3 times so far to get it checked out and they keep replacing a sensor in the driver door. Part number BL3Z 14B345A. The sensor has been replaced twice so far and the light still comes on randomly. I took the truck in again on 11/17/2015 and was told to bring it back when the light is on and stays on. I think we all know that if the light comes on and I do manage to get it to the service department during business hours that I will not be rushed to the front of the line and they will park the truck turn off the ignition and the light will go out.
The truck also has a couple of other little glitches. Every once in awhile at start up the radio will just pop or crackle through the speakers this will last for about 2 blocks then the radio works fine after that. The speakers will also cut out randomly while sitting at a stop light. I guess since Ford don't know how to fix there trucks. The truck is still under warranty but it is getting close to the mileage cutoff.
My service advancetrac light comes on about once a month, seems random but when it does the turn signals will not work, you have to hold indicator in place for signals to work-not to safe. My local dealer has not been able to fix issue...
View 3 RepliesI went to an independent repair shop to try and have my rain sensor and window up and down by remote(vag) he got the vag tricks to work but the alarm wouldn't respond.
He sent me to the dealer to reset everything they reset things but the alarm still doesn't beep when you turn it on. of course the dealer reset all the vag tricks. I also checked the ATA on the mfi but nothing ...
I got my GTI exactly one week ago. I brought it to the car wash today. When I got home and hit the lock with the remote, the car did not make the "beep" sound with the horn. I unlocked it and checked all the doors and the hatch to be sure they were properly closed, and they were. Then, I hit the lock from the remote and the doors locked, but no "beep".

View 14 RepliesI've got VAG-COM and I've enabled the convenience menu, but when I change ATA Confirmation to "off", my horn still beeps when I lock the car. Is there something I've missed? Is ATA Confirmation not what controls that?

View 24 RepliesI have a 2009 Elantra with a hair over 107 000 km. Recently I have been having an issue whee the EPS (Electronic Power Steering) has been randomly turn off while driving. This has occurred anywhere from once a week two twice in 10 min. It has happened immediately after starting the car or after driving for half an hour. There is no visible or audible sign when the EPS shuts off other than a small warning light on the instrument panel.
I am very worried about the safety risk this poses to me and the vehicles around me as when the EPS turns off the car is very difficult to steer, so I would like to get this fixed ASAP. What I should be looking at? Is this something I can fix myself (I'm not very car savy) or should I be taking it to a mechanic/dealership?
When I used my remote to lock my car the horn doesnt beep anymore. the horn still works if i push the wheel though.
