Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Heated Mirror - Indicator Light Won't Come On

I purchased a used 2012 F-150 Lariat in April, has 46,000 miles on it. I think the 3-year bumper-to-bumper expired about 2 weeks ago.
I know I've seen the heated mirror indicator light come on before, but I have not needed to use it much since April. The light would not come on today - I don't know if the mirrors actually got heated or not. I really did not need to use them, but wanted to see if it would remove the condensation from sitting outside over night.
Is it possible that the heated mirror would not come on because its too warm ? (i.e., 47 F in my case) For the first time ever, I used the power sliding rear window last night - is it possibly related to that ? Maybe its not fully closed ?
Is it possibly just a burned out bulb ? Or maybe a 'fuse' I can check ?

I'd like to disable my rear window defroster but keep my heated mirrors. Reason being I don't won't my rear window to explode when I turn it on. I have a 2011 bought a couple of months ago. Could I pull the fuse and still have the mirrors on? I rarely use the back window as I use to side mirrors. Drive a 18 wheeler for a living.

This morning, the driver's heated seat in my 2012 Lariat did not seem to operate properly. (It worked fine approx 14 hours earlier.) Note that my seats have both the heat and cool options.
I started the truck (its NOT garaged and the air temp was -5 F, which has been kinda typical lately) and turned on the driver's heated seat to high (level 3). I noticed that the seat's 'air noise' was more than normal (I've always noticed a more air noise with the 'cool' setting .........
No, I was not using 'cool' instead of 'heat' !) and that the seat never warmed up during the 10 minute drive. (Normally it would be noticeably warm in less than 5 minutes.) The 'air noise' seemed to cycle off/on toward the end of the drive. I did not have a passenger, so I did not have a chance to try that seat.
I've owned the truck about 2 years and had never run into this before.

I have a 2011 lariat with the heated leather seats, out of a sudden the passenger side stopped working. Light comes on but no heat. We did notice leading up to this it was getting extremely hot to the point it was too much heat. Fuse is good?

The drivers seat heat on my 2010 F-150 stopped working. The passengers side works fine. When I press the button on the dash, it lights for 2-3 seconds, then goes out. I have been looking around all weekend for a fix. I found many posts, but they are older and the equipment I'm seeing on my 2010 F-150 looks different. I found the wires coming from the heating pad. I was going to try and test for continuity but the wires have a plastic fitting and I can't get contact to the wires. I found a diagram on Foreparts.com showing that the heated seat control module is part # 14C724. I was able to locate on the passengers side, but not on the drivers side so I wasn't able to swap and see if that was the problem.

I bought a used 2013 F150 Limited. The truck only had 24,000 miles on it and is still under the 36/36 warranty.
I tried to use the rear defroster and the button never stayed on. As I started to investigate the truck through the owners manual I realized that it was supposed to come with heated mirrors, standard equipment on the limited, and it shows them on the VIN build out. It does not have the heated mirrors installed.
I take it to my local dealer to get the rear defroster fixed and have the mirrors installed and the dealer won't do it. I have to call Ford and open a case. I do this and Ford rejects my claim since I bought it used.
To me this shows a very poor business ethic and is disrespectful to a long time loyal Ford customer. To be honest this has really ticked me off and completely turned me off towards Ford.

Had a slight boo boo today with my truck backing out of a garage - snagged the right side (passenger side) mirror on the g-door rail and snapped the ball and socket of the mirror.
Tried to search the net for a replacement mirror and not having much luck. In locating one. I found one site but they do not carry the painted version of the mirror just the mat-plastic finish.

For those that have the mirrors with that orange reflector on the outside of the mirror, does it look like it can be removed at all? like pop it off? Ford didn't have them light up at all for either running lights or turn signals. If I got a new truck, I would try to remove them and paint them black to blend into the mirror.

Been a few months since I was on here. Posting this on behalf of my dad who just bought a 2012 F150 KR.
The truck he bought is a Max tow setup vehicle and it is quite beautiful. He loves everything about it so far except for the huge, non-power folding mirrors.
The question is, can he get these swapped out with a new set of power folding ones that are also tow mirrors?

It's been a while since my last post but I have a very strange issue with my 2010 f150's driver side mirror ... it is a heated and autodimming mirror incase that matters but the mirror looks like its foggy or blurry ... it has progressively gotten worse. Now the fogginess has covered the entire thing.
Its not anything on the surface of the mirror as I've tried to clean it off but it appears to be behind the surface of the mirror ... I was worried that maybe something had happened to the heating element and it messed up my mirrors or something. What it could be?

How to get the gear indicator lights to stay on? I can do it manually but it has to be every time I restart the motor. I think it completes the instrument cluster with it one.

I have a 2011 F-150 with the center console shift lever. I mainly drive the truck during the day so it's possible I never notice this but do the gear indicators illuminate when the lights are on? I happened to look down when I put the truck in gear and noticed that the selector has a red light showing its position but it was really hard to see what gear you have selected.
Normally I just pull it down until I hit D, knowing it clicks 3 times, and I'm off. If you do happen to go into M then you see it on the dash. So I don't know if I've never noticed it or if I have a burned out bulb and its no longer lit up. It's not a big deal but I always like to replace burnt out dash lights just so it looks good but I don't know the answer to this one.

I bought a used 2011 ford f150 crew cab lariat. I love it!! 5.0 liter, towing package. I notice that when I turn on the headlights, there is no indication on the display that they are on ! When I put it on high beam, I see the blue light icon on the display.
2. Another question, it has the headed mirror option, but I can't find any control that turns this on. Is this automatically controlled??
3. One more. It doesn't have daylight running lights and when I leave the headlights on and exit the vehicle, the headlight stay on! There is an auto delay digital switch on the display but I think that only applies to how long the headlight stay on when exiting the vehicle and the light switch is on auto. I am confused about the light setting on the truck.
The truck only has 24k on it so is still under bumper to bumper warranty.

I have a 2013 KR F150 SC 4x4 and have owned it since new. This big snow/ice storm that just came thru NC is probably the first time I have tried to use the rear window and mirror defrost . It does not work nor will the light come on the sync display. i pressed the button on the hvac as well as on the sync. My son says there is a TSB on this. I have 40,000 miles and the warranty is out. Also, its too cold to check the fuse today.

My Driver side/Left side mirror started wiggling, and fell, hanging on by just the wires for the heating element. I snapped it back on twice now, and I noticed 2 small plastic clips broken.
It's a 2013, XLT, heated, drivers side mirror.

The turn indicator is annoyingly loud? Does the small speaker under the dash make all the tones for dash functions, including the blinker noise? I'm tempted to put a piece of sound deadening foam over that little sucker.

Just got my 2011 Ecoboost FX4 on June 15th. For most of the time I had it, the in-dash LCD showed the 6 gears (on the right side of the display) for the trans & highlighted which gear it was in at any time (in Automatic mode, not select-shift). It disappeared & I can't figure out how to get it back?????? Nothing is listed in the manual.

In my 2002 SC430: The interior rear view mirror has an indicator which does not light up when I press the auto button. It does not auto dim at night either. My headlights auto on/off so that daylight sensor works. Ive checked the mirror fuse but not sure if there's anything else causing this. Do these mirrors go bad, or has mine been broken ? What items do I check and or test to diagnose and repair the mirror?

So yesterday When I unlocked via remote my drivers side mirror moved all the way to the right and started clicking. Like it was stripping the gears sound. Getting back in the truck the mirror moved fully every direction with switch on door. But the next time same thing, moved to the right and counted 3 clicks ! Happened 3 times yesterday.
I have a 68,000 miles on my 2009 s-crew lariat with most of the toys. Including memory seats. Some research pointed to drivers seat control module OR an orange with green stripe wire that may be broken at a splice off of the fuse box at location 3. However the wire thing I found was on a previous generation f150 and expedition, so I don't know if it applies.
I also noticed that when I went to program the mirror back to my setting by holding down the memory 1 button, it only beeped once. If memory serves me correct I thought when you hold desired memory button down for @5-10 seconds it should beep twice to set everything to that remote. So that's as far as I went.

I have an issue that popped up on my 2012 F-150 today. I was driving a bit today and when I returned home and shut the truck off I noticed that the right turn signal indicator stayed faintly illuminated. None of the lights outside are affected, and they all work normally, just that the indicator on the dash is staying lit.
The only thing I can see is that last week I smashed up the drivers side mirror and it busted the lens off of the LED lights in the mirror and 1 LED bulb is exposed. It did rain a bit today but I figured it would short out and blow a fuse if anything.
I will undo the negative battery cable tomorrow and see if it will reset, if not I will have te dealer check it out when I drop it off to have the roof reprinted next week.
