On my 2009 F150, my driver seat doesn't auto set when I put my key in. It started doing this after I had it in the Ford shop for tune up and fluid changes. Did they possibly change some type of setting? How to fix this?

The seat heater module on drivers side went out and the back slider window leaks water bad when we take it through the car wash. Is this possible? We were told nothing of this when we purchased it from this same Ford dealer.
View 14 RepliesHopped into my truck last night after unlocking with the key fob, the easy exit is turned off, and the drivers seat was rolled all the way back and lowered. Mirror might have been off its mark too. Seat back was fine, not reclined. The seat change position like this? Never happened before or after, software? Bumped stuck adjustment switch, other???? Doubt having key on the same frequency and did it for fun as my laptop was in plain view and not stolen...
View 13 Replies2011 F150 Screw FX4 drivers seat squeaks. Its in the bottom. It happens when you go over bumps. It doesn't do it all the time, but you can sometimes make it stop by moving the seat forward or back.
View 3 RepliesOn my 2013 Platinum the passenger's seat seems weak on the cooling versus the drivers. It still works on the passenger's side just not very cool. Is the AC cooling just a fan pushing air through the small holes in the leather seats?
View 13 RepliesThe drivers seat heat on my 2010 F-150 stopped working. The passengers side works fine. When I press the button on the dash, it lights for 2-3 seconds, then goes out. I have been looking around all weekend for a fix. I found many posts, but they are older and the equipment I'm seeing on my 2010 F-150 looks different. I found the wires coming from the heating pad. I was going to try and test for continuity but the wires have a plastic fitting and I can't get contact to the wires. I found a diagram on Foreparts.com showing that the heated seat control module is part # 14C724. I was able to locate on the passengers side, but not on the drivers side so I wasn't able to swap and see if that was the problem.

Recently the drivers seat would only recline/move front to back tilt on the outer left most side. The seat back appeared to be frozen on the inner/right hand hinge by the center console. It just twists the seat back if I try to recline or move it at all
Is this a warranty thing or is there something simple like a fuse or plug the at could be the culprit?
So it started when the auto up DID work, and when it closed, it automatically came back down. In order to close the window, I had to use the switch in the non-auto mode. Now, the auto up and down don't work.
View 11 RepliesI have noticed new drivers seat squeak. It only happens with weight transfer side to side at lower speeds ( hard right and hard left below 30 mph, or entering a driveway). I have looked at several posts and it seems like people have had luck with simply tightening the bolts for the seat.
Well I did that and it still making the noise. I have isolated the noise to the lower part of the seat right behind the molding. Behind the molding and behind the seat control switches there is a white box for the switches. It seems like the noise is coming from there. I noticed that if I pop off the control switches and I loosen the screws for the control switches the noise gets a touch better.
I took it to the dealership and they told me they tried to add some oil between the leather and the molding but it did nothing since the source seems to be behind the molding.
I would like to know if its possible to replace the regular driver seat with power seat in my 09 camry. I do see some cables lying in the bottom?

I'd like to pack items on the floor behind the driver's seat but am certain that the "auto away" function that moves the seat all the way back when you turn off the car will crush my items. I checked my manual and my Carista app but nothing about disabling this feature. How to do this?

View 14 RepliesI have read other people having problems with their power seats. Mine is kind of weird, the right side moves, the left doesn't. So when I try to move forward, it moves forward and pivots to toward the left, since only the right side is moving forward on the rail. There is only one motor moving the seat forward and backward right? I am hoping it's just an obstruction on the left railing or something....unless there are two motors moving the seat forward. The lumbar motors are fine, I can move up and down, it's just the seat itself that can't slide forward and backward.

View 8 RepliesI'm having trouble with the seat adjustment (12-way) on the drivers seat of my 2005 V6. Basically the front vertical adjustment of the drivers seat doesn't move upwards - maybe a cm at most. The back of the seat moves up and down fully, but the front doesn't, so it feels like the seat is tipped forward... When I try to adjust the front upwards I get loads of whirring and clicking, but no movement.
View 1 RepliesWhen towing my rv, about 6500 lbs, my 2010 with 5.4 auto skips right through second gear. It shifts 1-2 but just touches second gear and goes right to third gear. It does this all the time while towing. It does this rarely when not towing. This has been since the truck was new. The dealer seems to blow me off on this by saying they need the truck for 3-5 days. The problem did seem to go away after one of the scheduled maintenance checks but shortly returned.
View 2 RepliesWe just got a new 2014.5 LE, but I noticed that front passenger seat in it doesn't recline flat when reclined backwards. We also have 2012 Camry hybrid, and the difference in seat reclining between them is 3/4". 2012 passenger seat reaches back seat when fully reclined, and 2014.5 does not, it has quite a large gap. Is my 2014.5 seat defective and needs to be fixed, or are all of them are made like this now? We had two 2006 Camrys before, and in both of them front passenger seats reclined fully, touching the back seat...

View 3 RepliesMy Dad's 2011 Raptor has been having starting issues for about a month now. He turns the key, it turns over, but doesn't actually start; the same thing happens if he tries to start using remote start. It will start once in awhile on a 2nd or 3rd try, after throwing the shifter back and forth from Drive through Reverse several times and trying again, but not most of the time.
It doesn't happen all the time, but every once in awhile, and always at random times.
The first time was accelerating at an intersection a month ago. A second or so after hitting the gas, the engine died in the middle of the intersection. He took the key out, threw the shifter back and forth, tried again, and it started right up without issues.
Later that night, he tried starting it after sitting for over an hour (and had started it several times before without problems), and it failed to start, even after 7 or 8 tries. He had it towed to the dealer the next morning. He even tried starting it that morning in the dealer parking lot, without success. Several technicians apparently started it several times later that day without any issues! They didn't fix or replace anything, because they didn't find any problems. When he got it back, it worked perfectly.
A couple weeks later, it had the same problem at the gas station, after getting a full tank. My Mom told him that her truck (a nearly identical '11 Raptor) had the exact same issues several times in the past, and her trick was to let all the lights in the truck turn off, then try starting. He did that, and it worked!
Tonight, the same issue emerged. He did everything that had 'worked' in the past, and it still failed to start after about 10 tries. It's headed to the dealer on Monday, but what it might be?!? I also want to add that when it starts, it starts flawlessly, without hesitation; as if there wasn't a problem.
2009 F-150 XLT Super Crew 5.4 engine. The compressor cycles, but too often to get the interior cold. It has always been like this. While still in warranty Ford said it is fine. A good mechanic hooked it up to his machines and it seemed there is a sensor that said discharge temperature was below zero. Not even close. If there is one, where is this sensor? Is there a way to bypass this proble?
View 2 RepliesI just bought a 2006 Lexus GS300 AWD. Bought it with 99k from a older gentleman who seemed like he took really care of the car. Gave me all type of Lexus dealership service receipts. I recently noticed that the driver side seat heating and cooling doesn't work right, passenger seat works fine. I haven't checked the fuses yet just wanted to get some opinions before getting into it.
