Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: 2013 Limited - Rear Defroster Button Never Stayed On / No Heated Mirrors

I bought a used 2013 F150 Limited. The truck only had 24,000 miles on it and is still under the 36/36 warranty.
I tried to use the rear defroster and the button never stayed on. As I started to investigate the truck through the owners manual I realized that it was supposed to come with heated mirrors, standard equipment on the limited, and it shows them on the VIN build out. It does not have the heated mirrors installed.
I take it to my local dealer to get the rear defroster fixed and have the mirrors installed and the dealer won't do it. I have to call Ford and open a case. I do this and Ford rejects my claim since I bought it used.
To me this shows a very poor business ethic and is disrespectful to a long time loyal Ford customer. To be honest this has really ticked me off and completely turned me off towards Ford.

I'd like to disable my rear window defroster but keep my heated mirrors. Reason being I don't won't my rear window to explode when I turn it on. I have a 2011 bought a couple of months ago. Could I pull the fuse and still have the mirrors on? I rarely use the back window as I use to side mirrors. Drive a 18 wheeler for a living.

My rear defroster on my sliding glass window doesn't work all the time. I make sure the window is completely closed. It sometimes comes on and other times it doesn't. Sometimes it comes on and immediately shuts off. The dealership says I will need a new window. The truck is 7 months out of warranty. I think a $52,000 truck should have a rear defroster that works a heck of a lot longer than 43 months, especially when it has only been used 3 times since I bought it. Is this a problem that any of you have experienced with you F-150's ? I love my truck and will live with the rear defroster not working before I replace it. I just feel that Ford should have better quality than that.

I picked up my new truck this week and am trying to learn everything about it. My current issues is my heated mirrors. My mirrors have the little icon in the corner for heated mirrors, when I looked in the manual to find the button to turn them on it showes the rear window defrost and the mirrors on the same button with both icons. My truck only has the button with the rear window icon on it. Do I have the wrong mirrors or the wrong button? Truck is a 2012 CC lariat with the Ultimate package.

For the second time in the last 24 months, my rear defroster doesn't seem to be working. The first time I took it into the dealer and under warranty, they had to replace the entire rear window. The side view mirror defrosters still worked and they still work now. It just seems that the rear isn't working again and this time my warranty has run out.
Should I take it back to the dealer and hope they honor their work? My 3yr/36k expired 4 months ago. How could I even test that it is working? I've only had to use it 2 or 3x since last Feb. and that's when I noticed it doesn't seem to be working. I only had to use it for short trips so the main defroster in the cab eventually defrosted the rear window. The weather is warmer so now I won't have as many chances to have it fogged up.

I recently got a 2009 f350 lariat, the mirrors have the "heated" emblem on them but for the life of me I cant find a switch anywhere to turn them on, are they automatic?

My father has a 04 f350 crew with heated mirrors. It does not have rear window defrost. The mirrors will not defrost, So I checked fuse panel under dash and no bad fuses. We don't have a owners manual so we weren't sure which fuse was for mirrors. What should we check next??? I tried searching forum but couldn't find much about the testing of the mirrors.

I have a 2010 Prius III and was pleasantly surprised to find out that the side mirrors defrosted when the rear defroster was turned on. I looked in the owners manual and it said if equipped. Which Prius models do not have these defrosters, the package II? My mirrors do not have the little defroster icon, but I'm almost positive it must have them.

My wife came in the house the other day and told me my lights were on. When I went out to see, they were not. I chalked this up to the sun reflecting on the truck. Later I was working in the driveway and saw them come on, they stayed on for a minute then went back off. Strangest thing I have ever seen. The keys were hanging on the hook in the house. I checked the light switch and it was in Auto. I moved the switch to Off. Later that night I saw it happen again. They came on for a second them right back off. This is a 2010 F-150 4x4 Lariat. I have about 120K miles. What might be causing this or steps I can take to narrow the troubleshooting?

1997 F-150, 4X4, 151K miles, 4.6L. For years I've had an issue with heated air coming only thru the defroster, never the floor (a/c works normal). I've searched the forum and read many posts regarding the blend door. I pulled the switch and tested the vacuum hoses by taking a can of compressed air and blowing into the lines. All seem to be working with the exception of one, the black hose. I tried to follow it but short of removing the entire dash, I lost it. I read that there is a canister and small module in the engine compartment. Is there a way to test these to see if they're the problem? Where to look ? I only see one, on the firewall, passenger side, between the fender and the center of the compartment. Where's the other?

As the title says, my 2013 F-150 XLT lost all heater function and rear window/side mirror defrost function. It all worked fine this morning on the way to work but when I got out I had nothing. Looked at fuses under the hood, nothing is blown. Could it be a relay? The led lights in the buttons on the module still light up and I can hear the vent doors open and close when I change modes.

I have a 2013 KR F150 SC 4x4 and have owned it since new. This big snow/ice storm that just came thru NC is probably the first time I have tried to use the rear window and mirror defrost . It does not work nor will the light come on the sync display. i pressed the button on the hvac as well as on the sync. My son says there is a TSB on this. I have 40,000 miles and the warranty is out. Also, its too cold to check the fuse today.

I purchased a used 2012 F-150 Lariat in April, has 46,000 miles on it. I think the 3-year bumper-to-bumper expired about 2 weeks ago.
I know I've seen the heated mirror indicator light come on before, but I have not needed to use it much since April. The light would not come on today - I don't know if the mirrors actually got heated or not. I really did not need to use them, but wanted to see if it would remove the condensation from sitting outside over night.
Is it possible that the heated mirror would not come on because its too warm ? (i.e., 47 F in my case) For the first time ever, I used the power sliding rear window last night - is it possibly related to that ? Maybe its not fully closed ?
Is it possibly just a burned out bulb ? Or maybe a 'fuse' I can check ?

I've had an annoying rattle with the rear window sunshade. Toyota has attempted to fix it three times and it is still there. I drive with the sunshade down.

I have an issue that popped up on my 2012 F-150 today. I was driving a bit today and when I returned home and shut the truck off I noticed that the right turn signal indicator stayed faintly illuminated. None of the lights outside are affected, and they all work normally, just that the indicator on the dash is staying lit.
The only thing I can see is that last week I smashed up the drivers side mirror and it busted the lens off of the LED lights in the mirror and 1 LED bulb is exposed. It did rain a bit today but I figured it would short out and blow a fuse if anything.
I will undo the negative battery cable tomorrow and see if it will reset, if not I will have te dealer check it out when I drop it off to have the roof reprinted next week.

Was wondering if it was possible to add factory mirrors with the blinkers on them to my 2014 xl? My mirrors don't have them and I'd like to have them. If so, I could just buy a set and plug them into a harness in the door?

This morning, the driver's heated seat in my 2012 Lariat did not seem to operate properly. (It worked fine approx 14 hours earlier.) Note that my seats have both the heat and cool options.
I started the truck (its NOT garaged and the air temp was -5 F, which has been kinda typical lately) and turned on the driver's heated seat to high (level 3). I noticed that the seat's 'air noise' was more than normal (I've always noticed a more air noise with the 'cool' setting .........
No, I was not using 'cool' instead of 'heat' !) and that the seat never warmed up during the 10 minute drive. (Normally it would be noticeably warm in less than 5 minutes.) The 'air noise' seemed to cycle off/on toward the end of the drive. I did not have a passenger, so I did not have a chance to try that seat.
I've owned the truck about 2 years and had never run into this before.

I can't adjust my exterior rear view mirrors with the control button. I tried looking up the fuse in the Owner's Manual and didn't see the one it could be? I checked 51 and 55. Which one it is? Or what else the issue could be? (I am not trying to do this while the car is moving)(2006 Avalon Limited)
