I have a 2011 lariat with the heated leather seats, out of a sudden the passenger side stopped working. Light comes on but no heat. We did notice leading up to this it was getting extremely hot to the point it was too much heat. Fuse is good?
View 10 Repliesi have a 2011 fx4 the other day the power seat stopped working and i could hear a clicking sound coming from under the seat. I have searched on google and have found its very common on the older trucks to have a wire splice issue i was wondering if that applies to the 2011 or if there is any other common power seat issues.
View 2 RepliesThe drivers seat heat on my 2010 F-150 stopped working. The passengers side works fine. When I press the button on the dash, it lights for 2-3 seconds, then goes out. I have been looking around all weekend for a fix. I found many posts, but they are older and the equipment I'm seeing on my 2010 F-150 looks different. I found the wires coming from the heating pad. I was going to try and test for continuity but the wires have a plastic fitting and I can't get contact to the wires. I found a diagram on Foreparts.com showing that the heated seat control module is part # 14C724. I was able to locate on the passengers side, but not on the drivers side so I wasn't able to swap and see if that was the problem.
View 2 RepliesThis morning, the driver's heated seat in my 2012 Lariat did not seem to operate properly. (It worked fine approx 14 hours earlier.) Note that my seats have both the heat and cool options.
I started the truck (its NOT garaged and the air temp was -5 F, which has been kinda typical lately) and turned on the driver's heated seat to high (level 3). I noticed that the seat's 'air noise' was more than normal (I've always noticed a more air noise with the 'cool' setting .........
No, I was not using 'cool' instead of 'heat' !) and that the seat never warmed up during the 10 minute drive. (Normally it would be noticeably warm in less than 5 minutes.) The 'air noise' seemed to cycle off/on toward the end of the drive. I did not have a passenger, so I did not have a chance to try that seat.
I've owned the truck about 2 years and had never run into this before.
I am having a problem with my driver's side heated seats on my 2011 Elantra. When I press the button to turn on the heated seats, the lights on the button turn on for about 1 second, and then turn off. The passenger side and back seats are all heating properly...just for some reason my driver's heated seats don't turn on. I stuck my hand under the seat and it feels like everything is connected. Any reason why the lights on the heated seat button turn on for about 1 second, and then turn off?

View 13 RepliesComing back from a trip I got a e-brake light show up on the dash then noticed the signals stopped working and the heated seats no longer turn on. I scanned it with my AE and got a brake fluid sensor error come up but nothing about the signals .... is this a common problem or is there a connection between all this? 2003 F350 6.0L .....

Recently the drivers seat would only recline/move front to back tilt on the outer left most side. The seat back appeared to be frozen on the inner/right hand hinge by the center console. It just twists the seat back if I try to recline or move it at all
Is this a warranty thing or is there something simple like a fuse or plug the at could be the culprit?
I have a 2011 base model Camry.
The passenger side front door lock (electronic) stopped working a while back.
I fixed the drivers side issue when replacing the speakers in the car (driver side would stick and sometime not move by hand).
What is the best way to determine if the door lock actuator is dead or something else is wrong?
Its and 09, I can hear a relay click under the dash. It has gotten really hot since i bought it in sept to the point where I had to turn it off because I thought it was going to burn my bottom. I am guessing its not an easy fix.

View 14 RepliesJust bought a 2011 F450 king Ranch. really like the truck but the heated seats a REALLY slow to warm up and then just warm. I see that these work different than all the other heated seats I have used and use the blower motor to blow warm or cool air through the seats instead of an element under the seat covers. Is there anything I can do to get more heat? The blower filters look ok and will replace the when I can find a set. Tries without the filter and didn't see much of an improvement. Where is the heat element and is it east to get to?
View 2 RepliesSo I picked up an 06 passat this weekend. Everything is great except that my heated seats aren't working. I'm sure a few of you are experiencing this cold snap. I checked the obvious being the fuse(es). I noticed on the right panel it doesn't accept a fuse. I assume this would be for rear heated seats? The one on the left seems to be unblown. Where to check? Or my next step?

View 4 RepliesI noticed the other day that my passenger side heated seat is partially not working. The seat back is heated, but not the seat bottom. The driver's seat works perfectly.
I did a test over a 10 minute time period with the car idling in the garage (door open) and the HVAC system off. I did not touch the seats during the test. I took all readings with a contact-less infrared thermometer. At the beginning of the test, each seat portion was at 14C (57F). At the end of 10 minutes, the Driver's seat bottom and back, and the passenger's back had heated up to 20-22C (68-72F), but the passenger seat bottom had cooled down to 10C (50F). This temperature was the ambient temperature outside with the garage door open.
I checked the fuse, which of course it would be alright as 3/4 of the system is working. I took a look under the defective seat, but with the amplifier there, I didnt have much room to maneuver my big hands. All of the wiring harnesses looked like they were in place.
I have a 2014 IS350 F sport and I don't like how the heated seats when turned on max heat, it automatically decrease in heat level over time. Is there anyway you can set it to stay max hot? I don't like how it goes to Min setting after 10-15 mins or so.
View 2 Replies2013 Sonata Limited. The seat heaters come on at random intervals. The switch is in the off position and the lights on the switch are off yet the heat still comes on. If I move the switch to either High, or Low the light and the heat comes on. When I turn the switch off the heat stops. The dealer looked at the switches and seat today and could not find anything.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2014 Prius C Four. It just ticked over 5000 miles on the odo and I really like this car so far. There are a few annoying things, one of which is the way the heated seats work. In my other car, the heated seats had three heat levels. Once you set it, the seats come up to temperature and stays there. The Prius heated seats are just on/off. The annoying part is that when you turn it on, the heat is really inconsistent. For the past few winter months, I pretty much leave the seat heaters on all the time. During my commute, the seat temperature will go up and down about a dozen times. The temperature will rise to an almost uncomfortable level then drop back down to where you can barely tell they are on. The temperature cycles up and down and it's really annoying.
View 6 RepliesI was talking to a coworker of mine this morning about the unseasonably cold weather we have been having in Atlanta the last few days, and she said that she left her sunroof open during a storm that we had the other day and now her heated seats aren't working. She has an XLE with leather heated seats. Blew a fuse perhaps? Or possibly destroyed the heating mechanism? Or maybe just the switch itself? Both seats are not working. The clock, radio, nav, etc are all working so its not the fuse. Also, the lights on the switches themselves are working so they seem to be ok.
