I have a 2011 F-150 FX4. The Sync functions have completely stopped. When I press the phone or talk button, nothing happens. What have I done? How do I get it going again?
View 13 RepliesI have a new issue now with my 2011 F150 FX4. The sync stopped working the day before. I got nothing when I pushed the Media button. No phone, directions, menu. Then it started working for a while yesterday then stopped, Later on it started working now it nothing.
View 14 Repliesi have a 2011 fx4 the other day the power seat stopped working and i could hear a clicking sound coming from under the seat. I have searched on google and have found its very common on the older trucks to have a wire splice issue i was wondering if that applies to the 2011 or if there is any other common power seat issues.

Just recently (this past week), my truck has ceased responding to voice prompts. I press the button on the steering wheel and tell it 'Bluetooth Audio' to switch to my phone like I do frequently and SYNC times out and starts going through the various options.
After trying this multiple times, I pressed the MENU button to and selected 'Bluetooth Audio' from there at which point it flashes "Bluetooth Connected' and then instantly flashes 'Bluetooth Disconnected'.
In the phone menu, I am unable to call using voice prompts. I also can't communicate (hear or talk) when I place a call from my phone, even though SYNC shows it is in a call on the dash.
Troubleshooting I have done:
Deleted all bluetooth devices and then paired my phone again.
Menu on SYNC and restored factory defaults. Re-paired phone again, no change
Menu on SYNC, Master Reset, re-paired my phone and no change.
My phone worked perfectly in this truck before last Sunday (3-2-15) and still works perfectly in my wife's 2010 Fusion w/SYNC so I do not believe it is the phone. It is very frustrating as I have a long commute and use the SYNC features everyday, especially the hands free calling.
I have a 2011 lariat with the heated leather seats, out of a sudden the passenger side stopped working. Light comes on but no heat. We did notice leading up to this it was getting extremely hot to the point it was too much heat. Fuse is good?
View 10 RepliesThe media button on SYNC quit working last week(2010 F150, six cd player, no navigation). No voice commands or phone, also can not perform the "Master Reset" because the phone button on dash does not work. I have had this issue before and pulling fuse 13 for a couple of minutes always fixed it. Pulling the fuse no longer fixes the problem. I also tried disconnecting the battery.
I left the cable off overnight and still no luck. I came across a similar problem being fixed by a ACM reprogramming TSB (SYNC (possibly) Fixed by TSB 11-10-22) on a another forum. Do reprogramming working on a dead SYNC system when the hard reset was tried and did not solve the problem? Dealer did not want to reprogram ACM and told me need a new APIM.
So my automatic door lock (set to 60 seconds in vehicle setting) stopped working for some reason. I double checked the setting and it seems to be on the right place. it was working fine before...
View 6 RepliesHave a '13 F150 Platinum. Recently three things "broke" at the same time and I suspect a fuse but cannot locate the right one. At first I thought it was just the GD Opener, but when trying to reprogram it, I realized the red lights were not lighting up and the Drivers side Vanity Mirror light was not working.
About the same time, I noticed that the Instrument Cluster Memory function quit working and weirdly, every time the truck is switched off and then back on, it always comes back to the trailer tow screen for my Snowmobile trailer.
I thought i had it solved when I found that the trailer back-up lamp relay power fuse ( #43 in fusebox under hood) was blown. I replaced with a good 15 amp fuse and the problems are still there. I have searched high and low and cannot find a fuse for the Car2u GD Opener or the Driver Vanity Mirror Light (neither Vanity light for that matter. I tested all under hood fuses, but the kick panel fuses are impossible to check one-by-one.
Had my 2011 to the dealer multiple times for this problem. If I use a thumb drive or iPod in the usb drive sometimes it will lock up the Sync system. The voice command button wont work. The phone button wont work. I have tried 3 different thumb drives as well as an iPod. It is an intermittent problem. The system never has a problem unless I use the usb port.
I thought I had it worked out by removing the thumb drive when I turned the truck off and reinstalling it after the truck was running but this morning it crapped out again using this method. I thought (so did the dealer)starting the truck with the drive installed was the issue but it is not. Dealer already replaced the Sync module. Did not work. Something in the usb port or connection.
I have a 2010 f150 XL. 4.6L The power steering would work one day and not the next and work again and so on. But now it just stopped. How can you tell if the pump or the rack and pinion is bad. My reservoir full of fluid. When I start the truck turn the wheels there's no whining sound. Should the fluid in the reservoir be flowing?
View 1 RepliesOk, I've had my truck for a while now and it's the first one to ever have bluetooth audio streaming. The problem I have is that once my phone links into the truck I can't hear any other indications at all......there's no sound for a text message or incoming email or anything that should play from my phone. I never had this problem with the USB link in my Chevy. It's annoying because I need to keep my phone sitting on my lap to feel if I get a text or something. it happens whether I'm using USB to charge or streaming.

I took it to the dealer, which had a hard time fixing it (they had it about 2 weeks), and they replaced all the fuses in the truck and it worked for about a week, but it just stopped again. Not sure what to do.
View 1 RepliesWe purchased a brand new 16' tandem trailer last night. Plugged it in to my husbands 2011 F150 and hooked it up, lights went on, directionals, hazards, and break lights will not go on UNLESS the trailer light itself is taken off the trailer. We are thinking a grounding issue.
We pulled our 2011 F150 up to another trailer, same issue, only the running lights works.
Two days ago a old single axle trailer worked fine, break lights, directionals, everything.
When the owner put electrical tape around the bolts that connected the lights to the trailer the directionals worked, then they tightened up the nuts it touched the metal part of the trailer, it (meaning directionals, hazards, break lights) stopped working, (but the running lights stayed on). Are we tripping or what the heck is going on here?
Sync used to read me any test messages that came in on my Samsung Galaxy S6. But lately it doesn't do that anymore. Is there a setting that might have gotten turned off?
View 14 RepliesThe drivers seat heat on my 2010 F-150 stopped working. The passengers side works fine. When I press the button on the dash, it lights for 2-3 seconds, then goes out. I have been looking around all weekend for a fix. I found many posts, but they are older and the equipment I'm seeing on my 2010 F-150 looks different. I found the wires coming from the heating pad. I was going to try and test for continuity but the wires have a plastic fitting and I can't get contact to the wires. I found a diagram on Foreparts.com showing that the heated seat control module is part # 14C724. I was able to locate on the passengers side, but not on the drivers side so I wasn't able to swap and see if that was the problem.

Recently the drivers seat would only recline/move front to back tilt on the outer left most side. The seat back appeared to be frozen on the inner/right hand hinge by the center console. It just twists the seat back if I try to recline or move it at all
Is this a warranty thing or is there something simple like a fuse or plug the at could be the culprit?
I had a new windshield installed and the first time it rained, my auto unlock,the tire pressure monitor and the auto headlights stopped working. The dealer said that the fuse box got wet. I have since fixed the leak but can't find a fuse or reset any where.
View 3 RepliesI remove the radio from my Matrix. When reinstalling the trim, I damaged the left have heater control (the one which controls where the air comes out). I put that back in, now the fan doesn't work. All the push butting on the AC controls light up when I want them to, but the fan doesn't work.
I don't have a repair manual or wiring diagram, but I figure it has to be something really simple. I have looked at the fuses (I think).
Issues:
1. Backup camera sporadically does not come on in rear view mirror. Has already been replaced by Ford dealership.
2. Backup camera settings Visual Park Aid and Guidelines sporadically are set to 'off'
3. While truck is running, start seeing warnings/hearing chimes. Emergency Brake (which isn't set), Engine Overheating, Check 4X4, etc.
4. Truck will NOT start. Won't even attempt to turn over. When this happens, I have a radio but the LED screen is usually blank.
These sporadic issues are starting to seem to be related to the use of the emergency brake. Use of the emergency brake does not always immediately cause issues. Now that I feel like there is some kind of connection, I have been setting the e-brake when I park it (even if not needed) trying to force things to happen because Ford says if they can't make it happen they don't know where to look/what to fix. I can't always make things happen by using the e brake...but am noticing things happen more often when I DO use it and when things happen (like backup camera won't work) setting the brake will make it come on and then I can release it and back up. If it won't crank while the brake is set, releasing it will cause it to crank. The other morning when I had all the warnings/chimes going off setting the e-brake made everything go back to 'normal'.
Yesterday when I came back from lunch I parked and set the e brake (on level ground). Got in it to leave work, left e-brake set, stepped on regular brake and tried to crank....nothing but radio. Called dealership. They had me try putting the key in, pressing the regular brake, and try to move the shifter from Park to N. Shifter wouldn't move. Then asked to turn key to just get it 'active' and try again. Shifter wouldn't move. Asked me to turn the key to crank and try again. Same thing - shifter wouldn't move. Truck finally cranked after I released e brake. Came home, parked and set e brake and turned it off. It re-started right up with e brake still set.

View 1 RepliesMy buddy has a 2002 Camry LE(?), without Automatic Climate Control. He had experienced the flashing A/C light like many others, but his solution to the problem was to direct-wire the compressor to the battery. Seemed to work fine, and the compressor still works. Fast-forward to two weeks ago. All HVAC function stopped working from the standpoint of air blowing. No outside air. No A/C. No heat. AND no rear defroster. He replaced the Magnetic Clutch relay tonight thinking it might have something to do with the problem, but that did not solve it. We checked the blower motor, and it only has 0.01V going to it when the air is on. We're getting no sound of anything going on in the cabin.
