What should my idle speed be ? 2010 F150 4.6 2v, 4spd auto. Did not see anything under the hood on the stickers, maybe I missed it.

Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: 2010 - Auto Skipping Through Second And Goes Right To Third Gear
When towing my rv, about 6500 lbs, my 2010 with 5.4 auto skips right through second gear. It shifts 1-2 but just touches second gear and goes right to third gear. It does this all the time while towing. It does this rarely when not towing. This has been since the truck was new. The dealer seems to blow me off on this by saying they need the truck for 3-5 days. The problem did seem to go away after one of the scheduled maintenance checks but shortly returned.

I just bought a new 2010 F150 and it came with the factory remote start with the separate key fob. Can I get one of the integrated key fobs and program it to my truck/starter? Also if that is possible where can I get one?

I had a new windshield installed and the first time it rained, my auto unlock,the tire pressure monitor and the auto headlights stopped working. The dealer said that the fuse box got wet. I have since fixed the leak but can't find a fuse or reset any where.

2010 f150 4x4... Whether I'm in 4wd or 2wd when I turn at low speed something in the rear has slow clunking but clears out after a few feet of going straight. This occurs with or without a trailer behind me. Just bought this truck a week ago m noticed it about the third time I drive it.

2010 F150 4.6L 2V, 50k miles. Have recently developed an issue with an extremely rough idle with the AC on and trans in Drive. If in park, the idle is high enough that it is much less noticeable. I have cleaned my throttle body, and MAF sensor ? After this , I disconnected battery for about 30mins and let the computer reset. After a long drive today, it is still happening. This engine has the servo controlled throttle body, and therefore no IAC valve that I can identify. I would assume that the idle increase necessary for the AC to be on would come from the servo controlled throttle body itself with no need for an external IAC. The idle in Drive with the AC on will drop to 500 RPM or less and it is very rough. Is there a procedure for a recalibration of the servo throttle body that I could try ?

Just pick up a 2010 FX4 with the 5.4. Noticed at idle with the A/C on 75% of the time my truck is shuddering at idle. If i turn the A/C off it goes away. Common sense is that i know the the A/C draws a lot from the engine but have a shudder like that? The P/O's ESP transferred to me so i can take it in if need be.

I have a 2010 F150 5.4 with 43k miles. When approaching traffic lights or making a turn and you are approaching idle speeds the truck will start to stall out then ultimately shut off, causing me to loose all functions. It has cause my wife to almost get into a couple of major crashes. Sometimes when trying to start it back up it acts like it is not getting any gas it just keeps turning over. I took it in and it could not be diagnosed because they could not duplicate the problem. This will happen for a couple of days and then be fine for a month or two then start right back at it.

I have 2012 F150 5.0. Was going to do some errands yesterday. Got 3 miles from my house and all of a sudden the transmission would shift from say 5th gear down to 2nd. Then it would shift up to 6th then back down to 3rd. It was shifting all over the place. I did shift it to manual it seemed to stop it a little. But then it would shift by itself again .I went directly to the nearest Ford dealer. I did not shut it off, so if there was a code there they would see it... No codes. The Ford dealer will look at it. Any thoughts?

On my 2009 F150, my driver seat doesn't auto set when I put my key in. It started doing this after I had it in the Ford shop for tune up and fluid changes. Did they possibly change some type of setting? How to fix this?

This might sound like a stupid question, but how should the climate control operate in cold weather when set to auto?
I have a 2011 screw, when its cold out, and I start the truck, cold air blows out of the front defroster when the climate control is set to auto.
The fan on my previous ford vehicles would not function till the engine reached operating temp. Then the fan would turn on and blow warm air to the lower vents.

I purchased a new 2011 F-150 Lariat, Ecoboost, SCrew, 4x4 last weekend. I love the truck. It is very comfortable, the Ecoboost has been incredible, and the ride is very nice. I am looking forward to towing my ATVs after I hit 1000 miles.
Yet, I have one problem. I get an incredible amount of wind noise and wind whistle from what appears to be the driver's door. I read other posts about wind noises and wind whistles (e.g., bug shield), but they do do not apply to me.
I'm planning on dropping it off at the dealership this week for them to take a look at.

This engine unexpectedly surges from idle up to as much as 3 or 4 thousand RPM. It can be frightening. The IAC valve was buzzing loudly so we changed it out a couple of times with wreckers parts. With the third replacement valve in there, it hasn't surged yet but we are very leery to drive it for fear of uncontrolled acceleration while in heavy traffic. Is this a known problem or recall with these vehicles. I think it is ridiculous that the design would allow such a dangerous condition!
Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Increase Range Of Remote Start - IPod Auto Play Work Intermittently?
So I have had my Platinum for a year now and really love it but there are two things that drive me nuts. First is the range of the romote start, which is the factory installed version. There is no range you pretty much have to right next to the truck for it to work so what is the point? Any way to increase the range?
Second is the audio system, I have the in-dash NAV/Sync system. I use my iPod pretty much all the time. I have it hooked up via USB. Now sometimes when I am listeng to it while driving the turn off the truck do something get back in and stert the truck the iPod does not play, I have to go to the NAV screen and push the USB icon and then it will start to play, other time I just start the truck and it play automatically. I have my system to play automatically but that is not always the case.

New start for an old problem. 2010, F-150, 5.4, 5.5' bed. Truck is new to me, used 105K miles. Love the truck, got it to tow TT I was having trouble towing with a shorter wheel base vehicle. Has HD towing package, tows great, good power, stable. First trip out with the TT the ole Shudder in 2nd gear low speed reared it's ugly head. I did do the slip joint re-lube with Ford wonder grease.
