I have seen several threads concerning this. Washer does not work at all and the wipers will work only if turned on and off and only in the first intermittent setting.
View 2 RepliesI have an 05 F-150 SuperCrew XLT 4x4. I just went to use my wipers and its not spraying anything. The driver side nozzle drips a little bit out, the passenger side does nothing. I can hear the motor engage and there is fluid in the reservoir. I can't see any leaks.

View 2 RepliesI have a 2008 F150 4-Door. A couple of weeks ago I tried to turn my radio on and it wouldn't come on. I though it was just the cold weather affecting it. The following week I tired the radio again and it still would not come on so I pulled the fuse and checked it and it was good. Put in back in and the radio still would not come on. So I got a new fuse and put it in and the radio still would not come on. So what am I missing. What else can it be.

View 9 RepliesI have a 98 chevy astro thats been acting up alot these days! just a few eeks ago while checking tranny fluid it kinda smelt burnt. but topped it up anyway. mind you alot else is going on too. in the last year the horn has stopped working, the wipers work when they want to. the stereo stopped working. there was this wierd clicking noise that drained my battery, it was coming from this little black square looking thing under the dash on the drivers side, I removed it and it never happened agian. still haven't replaced it yet seeming as it ran fine without it. it wouldn't start when it was raining so considering the other electrical problems I was having I had a wire kit done on it and it didn't work. it turned out to be a cracked coil, which was replaced. just this last week the heater stopped working and now it started doing this this morning.

The next to last time I used it, I got a dribble, so I figured that I needed fluid...added more fluid, but it was still half full, I pressed the button, I heard noise, probably the pump. but no fluid. Could it be something as simple as a clog? I could tear it apart.
View 12 Replies1999 F250 5.4l base work truck. My problem is wipers, washer do not function. It all started with my wipers staying on. I removed the fuse to stop them. When i put it back in nothing. I have bench tested all relays, checked fuses, put in a new mfs, put in a new/used gem, checked all wiring i can seem to find, refreshed grounds etc. I am starting to lose my mind with this thing.
I have gone through all of section A and B of these tests [URL] .... except for the NGS scan tool.
Tonight checked the pins at the central junction box relays to see what was going on. This is where things got interesting. i have constant power at pin 5 of the run/park relay. if i jump this to pin 3 the wipers run. Pin 5 of hi/lo and washer show no voltage, however show continuity to ground. pin 5 of run/park also shows continuity to ground.
With the key on I have 12v at pin 1 of the hi/lo, run/park, and washer sockets. when cycled through the switches show i have continuity to ground on pin 2 of all sockets as they should. However, when relays are in place they do not "click" over.
What am I missing here? As much as I'd hate to do it, I may end up just throwing a switch in to "jump" the run park relay for temporary single speed wipers.
My state requires headlights to be on when wipers are on. Is there a known way to rig this on a 2006 F150 with the auto headlight setup? Link to a DIY somewhere? I'd expect to have to wire in a relay at the very least.
BTW, I tried searching for "headlights wipers" but repeatedly got

Did the back/reload thing several times to no avail.
Last fall had one day for about three miles where wipers and washer wouldn't shut off. Now they won't stop at all. Thought the multi switch might be bad, removed whole switch and unhooked. Washer pump and wipers were still on and wouldn't shut off. Had to pull the fuse.

I press the washer lever towards and the washer fluid comes out, but the wipers don't move. They are not stuck on the windshield because of ice or anything either. What can I check?The next question is the turn signal. What does the lever do when you push the lever towards the dash? It clicks, but I don't notice that it does anything?

View 2 RepliesI have an '08 Lux wagon with rain sensing wipers and automatic headlights. When I spray the windshield with washer fluid, the wipers don't come on to wipe it away. This occurred today, and the wipers would not activate no matter what position I put the control stalk in. Then, after a few seconds, they came on and cleared the windshield. I have not noticed any other issues with the wipers. What might be going on here?

View 3 RepliesCurios problem with my car. When I spray washer fluid quickly the wipers do not start. I can literally empty litres of fluid on the windshield and they still will not activate. Now on other cars I have had you can play chicken and pull quickly on the lever and this I can do a off a couple of times without activating the wipers but not constantly. I had it in for service and the mechanic said he has never seen this problem before and does not even know how to fix it. It does get annoying that you have to waste a lot more fluid to activate the wipers "auto" function by holding it on a few seconds longer than needed.

View 1 RepliesWeather got cold last night and froze everything. When I went to start my wife's car she had left the wipers in the on position the night before and I did not notice it. Once I turned the car on, the wipers went to start moving but were frozen. Once I realized it I quickly switched it to the off position, but it was too late. After defrosting everything and cleaning the windshield, the wipers will not work. I thought first it was a blown fuse so I switched it out with a new one, but still no luck. After my engine turned off I could hear the wiper motor running but no moving on the wipers. I have checked the nuts that hold the base of the wipers in place and they are tight. I have a 2007 Prius as well.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2008 Honda Odyssey. I purchased the van used back in February with 34,000 miles on it. About a week after I bought it, the van started having odd electrical problems. My radio controls on the wheel would stop working, my rear wiper would start running even though it is in the off position. My power sliding doors would catch and close at the half way point on both sides at the same time. It is little odd ball stuff, but I am worried that the "brain" is not working properly. I have taken it to the dealer multiple times and of course they can't find the problem. They say to bring it back if it keeps happening, which I do, but every time they say it is fine and send me on my merry little way.
