So I was driving home today, I had some issues a couple of weeks ago with it stalling in the rain, it was raining today. As I was driving, the truck dies and won't restart. It wasn't like it stalled, it was almost like someone shut it off. Then it wouldn't restart, and there is a clicking sound under the dash. I tried the battery pull and nothing. Ended up having it towed home.
View 7 RepliesMy 2004 1.6 L accent does the following, no matter how much gasoline is or is not in the tank: Whenever I remove and replace the gas cap [which is brand new], as i drive away, the engine light flashes quickly about 20-25 times; rests for about 15 seconds and flashes again about 20-25 times. Thereafter it goes out for the rest of the drive. while it is flashing, the car idles roughly. This happens even if i only remove the cap to add some water absorbent or some injector cleaner. it also happens when i fill up the tank. by the way, i NEVER TOP UP. I always quit filling with gasoline when the pump goes "thunk." this has me completely stumped.

I started by reading up on issue and 9 times out of 10 people were saying the fuel pump driver module causes the issue...
So I ordered a Dorman and plugged it in...I did not bolt it down...Just wanted to see if it would fix and nothing...
Now stuck on the starter...Top bolt is a huge nightmare.
Would a weak battery and bad starter cause theft light to flash or is my problem elsewhere?
My dad has a 2005 Ford F150 and his airbag light buzzes and flashes. We counted and it flashes 5 times then short pause then 1 flash then long pause and restarts. Also I dont know if it is related but his cruise control doesnt work either.
View 9 RepliesAbout 6 weeks ago my 2004 4.6 scab had a glitch in that when you got going the seat belt warning chimes came on, to clear it stop at the next junction turn off re start and away you go. Now today its moved a step further on, the airbag not working light flashes and then stops on, but no seat belt chimes?
View 2 RepliesI just picked up a 04 F250, bought it over the internet and the only thing (so far) that has stumped me is there is no PATS key, just a silver key. Truck starts and runs fine. The key in cylinder chime is on even with out the key in, so here are my two thoughts
1) I know the truck was stolen in the past and the system was disabled, new ignition went is and PATS is gone. Is this even possible?
2) I have to dig under the dash and steering column and see whats going on under there.
Any thoughts?
My f-150 has an intermittent rough idle and consistently runs rough when you accelerate quickly. Vehicle is not throwing any codes?
View 3 RepliesI got a 2007 f150 5.4 triton motor 94000 miles all stock just gots mod k&n filter top end rebuilt due to cam phasers and timing guides for the past year when i make a real sudden stop or sometimes quick turn the truck will bog a bit the i give it gas and will drop to 100 rpms and if i keep my foot on the gas the truck will die if i keep my foot off the gas it will keep rolling then die after attempting to accelerate fuel pump driver module is in good shape with spacers the old code i get when this happens is p0191 for fuel rail pressure sensor although i just replaced that what could it be?
View 1 RepliesMy 06 FX4 has 106k it started acting up shifting last week and its driving me crazy not knowing what part to change. Sometimes when I take off slowly from a dead stop it shifts really quickly into o/d by the time I am at 15-20mph. Doesn't matter far as hot/cold but if i accelerate quickly it doesn't seem to do it. I have read it could be the Shift solenoid or TPS.

I have recently purchased a ski boat and lately when towing my boat and coming to a stop I feel as light movement coming from the rear of the truck that feels like something slides forward slightly. When I accelerate "it" slides back and if I accelerate quickly, "it" makes a loud clank noise.
I have ruled out hitch, receiver, ball, anything from the boat/trailer etc... It is coming from the transfer case/ spare tire area under the truck and it only appears to do it (or to where it is noticeable) while towing the boat.
While driving into work today I noticed that when I turn the exhaust brake on the light flashes 4 times and turns back off. This definitely does not seem normal but it is cold outside. Could it being 9* have anything to do with this?
View 11 RepliesOk, I have a strange no start issue right now. My excursion won't start. I have power to everything and both batteries are at 12 volts or a bit more but the starter won't engage. If you turn the key to start all that happens is relays click under the dash and the airbag light flashes. It almost seems like the transmission is in gear. It did this twice about a month ago and has been fine ever since until today.
View 8 RepliesI have a 2005 F150 5.4l. The CEL came on a couple days ago, but there were no driveability symptoms, and my code reader was 2 hours away, so I didn't pull the codes.
Today, I left for work and pulled onto the freeway, I went to pass a vehicle, and rolled on the throttle (maybe 60%) l and the truck fell flat. I backed out of the throttle, checked the gauges, all looked good, so I tried again. The second attempt ended the same as the first, it fell flat and felt much like a APP/TPS correlation/limp mode.
Before I had a chance to even think, it bucked a couple times and stalled (felt like running out of fuel). I coasted to the side of the road and tried to restart. When the ignition is on, the dash lights come on as expected, when turned to the start position the relay under the dash clicks, but it doesn't crank, and the starter solenoid does not click.
I have checked the starter and PCM relays. Both are good. I have not disconnected the battery or started pulling fuses as I want to retrieve the codes first. I am able to turn the engine over with a pry bar.
My 2007 F150 XLT, 5.4L, 4X4: 3 times in the past 4 months while towing a small trailer a message comes on in the dash display "trans fault" and the OD OFF flashes on the dash. What is the fix?
View 2 RepliesThe other day my truck stalled out and wouldn't start so I had it towed to the shop, the shop tested the fuel pump but couldn't find anything and it fired up and ran fine for them. It ran fine for a day and now is running extremely rich. The only code it's throwing is P0452 which is for the evap system. I spent awhile searching but couldn't find any answer on it.
I couldn't find any loose connections in the harness or on top of the fuel tank, I had the classic FDPM issues before so I replaced that. I'm beyond frustrated with this hulk seems like once a month it wants to quit working.
On my new/used 2008 Escape XLT 2.3L 2WD. It flashes every two seconds, like the manual says. Lower left corner of instrument cluster.
But I don't recall the warning light flashing when I test drove it. But I did push the buttons on the keyfob and various places on the dash/instrument cluster to see what they did...
Is the anti-theft system an on/off affair? If so, how do I turn it off?
I have a 2002 Camry with an A/C problem. When I turn on the A/C, the A/C light flashes and the compressor does not spin. I have check the following:
1. The compressor is fully functional when I feed power to it.
2. The A/C fuse, 10A, is functional.
3. The Mag CLT relay is functional.
4. The cabin filter is new.
5. There is enough refrigerant.
I have a BMW 740I that has over 200,000 miles on the clock, I have noticed in the past couple of day that the check engine light when I turn on the ignition that it flashes then becomes still, what the problem could be, and if it is safe to drive?

-the odometer display flashes on and off, the warmer it is outside the less it stays on
-heater blower doesn't work when the switch is on number one position, works fine on other positions
-power mirrors don't work neither side
Car is in for knocking sound made when you are stopped and you turn the wheel quick from left to right. Also does the same thing when you hit a bump. Dealer is saying it was always that way I say bs. 2008 prius.
