Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: Disabling Perimeter Lighting But Didn't Get Chirp?

I followed the instructions in the manual for disabling the "perimeter" lighting feature. I don't get the "chirp" that let's me know the truck is in programming mode. I did have instant success in disabling the automatic door locking feature which is done by a similar process. I did get the "chirp".

I'm in the habit of starting the car andthen putting on my seat belt while it is warming up.So I used the Carista OBD2 app to disable the seat belt chime on my 2015 Camry. This is supposed to be the same as doing it from Techstream, I believe.But the ding still sounds several times once I turn the key. The seat belt warning light also flashes in synch with the dings.I confirmed the settings:
Seat belt warning ding (driver)
ENABLED / *DISABLED*
Seat belt warning ding (front passenger)
ENABLED / *DISABLED*

Swap out the LED dome lights in a 2012 Camry SE? I'm considering switching the bulbs out from the yellow tone stock lighting to the white lighting LED bulbs. I am also considering floor lighting that can be activated with the dome light switch and/or with the doors opening. The issue I'm having is that I would like them to be hooked up to the same switch that the stock lights are set up with. (So I can use the dimmer switch for lighting). Where I would be able to tap into the wiring for this? Is there a DIY thread somewhere?

I have two 2004 F350s. In both of them, the dome light stays on for roughly 10 seconds after I shut the door, and also comes on when I shut off the engine. I HATE this feature! Is there any way to disable this? All I want is the light to come on when I open the door and go off when I shut it. Nothing else.
I read something about some computer setting on this for police vehicles, but I'm not sure if or how that applies to my 2004.

I've got a strange noise coming from the front brakes. It's not the wear indicator, and it's not a worn out rotor.
When I apply the brakes firmly, they work great. No noise, good stopping power, the pedal is nice and firm. As soon as I let off the pedal, there's a little chirping noise, like a tiny bird in my wheels... I've looked at the pads and rotors, and there's no obvious sign of damage or wear.
My guess is it's the caliper pins or piston making the noise. I'm happy to take it apart and lube it, but what kind of lube is specified for this? Moly grease? Lithium grease? Some kind of oil? And do I apply it only to the caliper pins, or to the piston as well?
I looked on HMA service, but I can't seem to find anything to address this specific problem.

I have a Passat 2.0 TSI 2008. Today after having lunch I tried to start the car to return to my office, but it didn't start. The lights dimmed like the power was draining. I tried again and no sign of a start and no lights this time. Called my insurance 24h assistance. They brought a spare battery and we connected it so as I could start the car. The started this time. Disconnected the spare battery, and left the motor running for 10 minutes. Instead of turning off the car, I decided to drive it a while to feel if everything was fine.
Well, the A/C turns on, but automatically turns off in a few seconds. The cruise control shows an exclamation sign and the horn is faint. When I stopped the car I noticed that the lights on the dash were kind of faint. Now, I am not sure I will manage to turn it on again. The battery seems to be on good shape. It has about 1,5 yr now and I could see that the indicator is green.

Want to stop this chime via VCDS, but leave the cluster icon on, if possible. I found something on Ross-Tech's website, but it doesn't seem to apply to our cars specifically, or does it? Like, specifically the way I want it (chime down, icon stays) with success, and can walk me through it?

I've noticed that when I'm stopped, or in park, and I push on the brake pedal hard I hear a squeak or chirp that sounds like it's coming from the wheels. It might even sound like someone is honking at you as if you were not going when the light turned green. I have not been outside the car when this occurs, so I don't know exactly where the sound is coming from.

When I filled up with gas today the mileage in the display didn't reset to back to zero after I turned the car back on and drove away. Is this indicative of a problem, or is it just a fluke?

I have a 05 Prius that is having an issue with the cluster not lighting up occasionally. Sometimes what i have to do is turn the car off and press the panic button, disarm the alarm and then restart the car for the cluster to light back up. Ive taken it to the dealership a couple times already but every time they have the car the problem doesn't occur.

I have a 2007 Prius with 110000 miles on it and i have had an issue with the dash not coming on when the car is started. This has happened 3 times this year. I would start the car like normal everything else comes on and it is drivable but nothing is displayed where the speedometer should be. Sometimes when this happens it wont turn off by hitting the power button but it will allow me to just pull out the key and it shuts off then. these last two times it took around 5 minutes of just leaving it alone and the display comes back on when I start it up. I checked the 12v battery and everything seems to be fine.

Having issues with the gas door not closing. I opened it a couple days ago, and the little tit inside didn't pop back out. I messed around with the lever under the steering wheel and with the unit inside the gas door. Got the tit to pop out, but once I opened it again, it didn't stay out. Not sure if I need a new cable from the pull lever to the door, or just the unit that's inside the gas door.

I just got projector lamps with Halos and LED fog lights for my 2004 Camry I tapped all the wires for the halo and the led fog lights to the parking light. Did it correctly, positives to positive and grounds to ground. However The halos and led fog lights aren't lighting up. I tested and it is getting power but I suspect its because the parking lights get 6v and only get 12v for the turn signal.
how to wire these? Maybe straight to the battery with a switch?

We've got a 2005 with 110K miles on it and recently the Combo Meter malf'd -- in the space of a couple days, the car didn't want to shut off twice, and once at start-up the instrument panel didn't light up. Since then it has run just fine. Took it to the dealer and they want to replace the combo meter. We never got the "Warranty Enhancement" notice (which has, of course, expired).

Started the 07 prius this morning: No dash (Can't see speed or gears) lights, Rear Camera not working, and the "Current Mpg" reads blank. Also had trouble turning the car off...

Right now, whenever anyone walks up to my truck, they can turn on all the interior lights just by pressing any button on the keypad on the driver's door, even when it's locked. Is there any way to disable this behavior? I carry tools in the back of my Ex and I really don't like this at all.

2006 F-350 diesel 4x4 ... Is there someway to disable the automatic door locks?
Truck is used on a construction site and every time someone moves it and then I need something out of it doors are locked. I hate having to try 3 doors every time until I remember to go to drivers door.

How to disable the belt minder chime on a 2015 SD? I tried unplugging the harness under the seat, but it turns on the airbag light. No instructions in the owner's manual like there was for my 2005.

2003 Ranger develops a shrill chirp, then screech often but with little reason. Seems to happen most at speed. Belt looked good, idler pulley felt loose, changed idler, no luck. no drips at water pump, alternator seems fine. Could this be as sneaky as a fan clutch? If it could, how can I test it?

I have a 2003 f150 with a 4.2 v6 2wd and about 116 on the clock.
It has this annoying, faint squeek whenever i hit bumps in the road. Sort of sounds like bird chirps. I cannot reproduce it if I bounce on it while parked.
One rainy day I tried to show a friend and it would not make the sound it seemed. Therefore I think its exterior, although it almost sounds inside.
Today I sprayed down all the rubber joints under the front end with silicone spray. It still squeaked while driving afterwards.
I should note that a ford dealer claimed the ball joints were worn and needed to be replaced. Although, would a ball joint make bird chirp type squeaks while driving at most speeds (20mph - highway speeds)? It does not intensify or change at any particular speed.
My understanding is that a bad ball joint would grind when turning the wheel or clunk while traveling over speed bumps or something similar.
