My 2007 F150. That jack wobbles in the hole and, when I plug in a cave, it does not make solid contact. What I am wondering is, does that little panel on top of the dash pop out of that hole to give access to the jack? I am wondering if I can tighten it and re-tension the contacts if I can just get behind that panel.

View 2 Replies2007 F150 Lariat.. I cannot get disc 1 to eject from the changer. It will eject the other 5. It starts to eject disc 1, I can see the edge of the disc, then it just reloads it.
View 2 RepliesShut my truck off, now it won't start. Turn key to start position all proper lights appear on dash. No clicks,no nothing. Replaced a relay which owners manual shown as starter solenoid, man at auto parts said it was fried. Put new relay in still no change. checked everything I could find w/ ignition,starter,solenoid ,etc. fuses relays, according to pictures in owner's manual, they all appeared to be ok. Never,ever had any problems with this truck and charging system is working,IE: battery isn't shot.
View 3 RepliesI have a 07 Lariat with vacuum 4X4 switch. Goes in and out of 4 Hi and Low however dose not light up on dash for 4 Hi only( 4 Lo lights up ). Is this the beginning of a vacuum leak or bigger problem?
View 3 RepliesTo make a long story short. I had a "low input temp sensor" fault on the transmission. I replaced the three solenoids and temp sensor in the bottom of the transmission and added new fluid. I'm still getting the "trans error" code. Everything is working/shifting like it should, just tired of the beeping and code on the dash.
View 3 RepliesI have an ABS light on. I have crawled under the truck I don't know how many times everything is connected just as it should be. The wires did have to taped up because they burnt into after getting against the exhaust at some point, but I had fixed that awhile ago, I've even tore back into the tape and re-did everything again, nothing gets rid of the ABS light. When this first happened it would go away after I turned the truck off, but would come back after using the brakes a few times, especially harder stops. Then it got to where it just came on and stayed on, and didn't go out no matter what. Thinking my ABS speed sensor went, I bought a brand new motorcraft one from rock auto it fits perfectly in the rear, plug looks good. I can't find NOTHING that would keep this light on. The code is always the same "Rear ABS Center Speed Sensor Input Malfunction", how to get rid of this?
View 1 RepliesI own a 2011 IS350 RWD. My 4 year warranty just expired. So when it comes to rattles, the 4yr/50k miles no longer cover my rattle concern.
I spent about my 3rd year on a rattle that seems like only occurs when its cold. On cold days/morning, this rattle between the dash will come and it sounds like a bolt is loose, and is moving around or something like that along the lines of that.
So right before my 4th year mark came, I brought it in one last time to hope they can get rid of it. Once I got the car back, it was during winter.. so it still happened, but instead it was a lot louder than before.
Is there anything I can do? Since I've been trying to bring it in to get it checked out for a good year, I'm hoping there's a way for the dealership to honor that one concern I have with my IS.
Other than this rattle, I love my car. The rattle can get pretty bad/annoying especially when you're on a phone call. I bring this issue up during every oil change to get it checked out.
My Prius Navigation Sceen/Climate Control/Info screen will not respond to touch input. When I try to input anything, when I tough the screen, buttons to right of where I am touching come up. For example, on the info screen, when trying to go to the settings screen, all I get is the numeral zero.
View 2 RepliesI just bought this truck a few weeks ago and rarely hit the freeway. But 2x now when getting on the freeway it will shudder/lose power at about 60MPH. It quickly recovers and then seems perfectly fine. Both times it has happened while going to lunch and when the vehicle is not warmed up. It has not happened on the return trip. I did some searching but nothing seems to be very intermittent like my problem is. Hard acceleration is fine and I have no issues there. Its an 05 Supercrew FX4 with 39K on on it and was babied.

View 11 RepliesHow to tighten the drivers side mirror? It's rattling around and driving me nuts. It's loose at the pivot point not the door mount. It's the power/folding version. I looked at it but can't figure out how to tighten it. There is a little plastic access panel on the bottom below the pivot but there doesn't appear to be a nut or anything to tighten in there? Maybe I missed it?
View 3 RepliesI recently lowered my car and installed some CF side skirts, but when I went to go do an oil change, my floor jack barely fit under the car, and when I started jacking it up, it started applying pressure to my CF sideskirt. I was cringing as I was watching it flex, hoping it wouldn't cause the clear coat to "web".
I ended up finding a couple blocks of wood, and drove up on them to get the car an extra inch higher off the ground, but my CF side skirt was still meeting my floor jack. Those of you who are lowered with side splitters/skirts.
My driver door is just loose enough to rattle on bumps and it's quite annoying. I've loosened the striker and tapped it in as far as it'll go with the hammer and it is still not tight enough. I need about 1/4 inch more and that's about how worn my striker is. Obviously I need to buy new a new striker based on the wear, but am I the only one with strikers wearing too much to be adjusted and causing rattles ?
View 7 RepliesI have a 2008 Passat Lux with an ipod dock in my glove compartment which I would like to turn into an aux input if possible. There is no AUX input under my hand-rest so the ipod connector in my glove compartment seems to be the only way for me to listen to my music from my phone in the car. I have found several cables that convert IPod to 3.5mm jack (and hopeful vice-versa?) Will this work somehow or am I stuck with the ipod connector without any aux input?

I have with my F150 5.4 liter truck. I had the spark plugs replaced about 1 year ago. since then I have had 2 plugs back out and come loose. I would smell a faint gas smell first that would tell me know that it was happening. the first plug was if memory is correct either number 8 0r 7 on bank 2. this time its number 2 on bank 1.
I hope that my mechanic just did not torque the plugs correctly and all I have to do is tighten them. If that's not it. Could the spark plug holes be stripped and have to be re-threaded? And if so how us that done?
The little folding drawer/shelf inside my console popped loose and when I took the car in for scheduled maintenance, I asked the service dept to put it back together. They advised me that after trying to fix it for a while, it could not be repaired.
View 4 RepliesI purchased a 2006 Lariat crew cab 4x4 back in early feb... since then, I've been on the Interstates a little more than usual ( traveling back home.. dad had a surgery 3 hours away) . . . anyway, the truck gets kinda loose feeling when coming onto bridges and off of them, almost like the back end is swaying and the tires are leaving the ground in the front.. my steering wheel gets loose for a split sec. When I bought the truck I wrote this off as bad tires.. it had some over inflated BFG stock looking tires and where too small.
now, I have new wheels and new tires one size up on the tire. While the ride is great off any bumps.. the second I hit a bump it gets squirmy... I had a guy look at the shocks, he said the seemed ok.. could it be possible to have the wrong shocks on ?
My 2004 crew 4x4 did not do this.. so I know its not a characteristic of the truck. Tired of feeling like I am driving on ice... which is how I lost my 04. My first guess was the Shocks... I bought a level kit for my 04 and never got to put it on... so, it may work out to replace them while I am at it.
Whenever I am driving 60 km/h or more a loud noise seems to come into play. The noise sounds like a really loose ball bearing spinning. Then sounds like a turbine slowing down when going 30 or under. The only issue is the noise does not go away until the truck shifts down into 1st gear. And when doing so the truck jerks enough for everyone in the vechile to feel it. This problem only seems to come when it's rainy or slushy outside and even then does not happen very often. I have had the truck to ford and another mech. Nobody can seem to pinpoint the problem. 2006 f150 5.4l ....
