I just got back from a deployment and my Dad changed out the battery on my 06 F150. He said it started up fine for him, but I tried and it powers up great but won't turn over. Everything electrical still works, but the engine doesn't even try to turn over.

View 1 RepliesMy son has a 2001 explorer sport that he keeps at college. The vehicle sits alot more than it runs these days. Recently it some times does not want to start, no click when you turn the key. He got it home today, and after I changed oil, it would not start. I have no ground to the starter relay in the power distribution box.
I have no electrical schematics, where the ground for the starter relay comes from ? If I remove the relay and run jumper wires from the box to the relay, i can make the vehicle crank when i apply another ground source to the relay....but it just cranks, will not start.
Some say the front drive shaft should turn by hand in 2h and some say it shouldn't.... I have an 06 FX4, with auto locking hubs (meaning if I want 4H i turn from 2H to 4H). I've been getting a terrible shake at 55mph (yes I've read the forums on that too, not my question) .
So I crawled underneath to look at rear driveshaft, u joints, etc..., and by chance I grabbed the front driveshaft to pull myself forward to check out everything else, and it didn't turn......
I twisted a little and the shafts going to both front wheels turned. Now shouldn't these turn freely in 2H?....The light to 4H never comes on when I switch it, but it is engaged (or else I'd never have gotten unstuck....several times)... Am I stuck in 4H and just didn't know? .
Alright so I ran into a problem I went to turn on my passenger side dome light in my '06 F150 supercrew and it will not turn on. i just replaced the bulb and still nothing. If it could possibly be a blown fuse or something simple?
View 6 RepliesI have a 2006 F150 xlt 5.4 3v. I've owned it since Oct. 15'. In approximately Nov. I lost the rear right brake and blinker light, and then around Christmas I lost the rear left brake and blinker. I also have no rear hazards, but the inst cluster flashes at a normal rate when the flashers are engaged. All running lights work, and 3rd brake light works. Front blinkers work and all other electrical works. Have checked all fuses and bulbs with no solution.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2006 F150 STX auto trans with the 4.2L V6 that has been having intermittent starting problems. It has 98,000 miles on it. It will start fine 99% of the time but sometimes when I turn the key the starter will grind once or twice then it can go a few weeks with out doing it at all. Then also sometimes it will crank turning over for several seconds but wont start. Then it starts fine the rest of the time. This has happened several times but only happens once every few weeks or so. Just trying to see if it needs a new starter or if its something else. It has a new battery.
View 3 RepliesMy rear passengers side turn signal is not working. The bulb is lit up when i have my parking lights on so i know that th bulb is good. So my guess is that there is a voltage issue. I have searched the web for a wiring diagram and have come up empty handed.
View 2 RepliesOk so this has been driving me nuts now for a couple days. When I listen to the reg radio, not noticeable. When i use xm, I switch channels and there is a very noticeable humming noise. Now the louder i turn the volume up the louder the humming gets. It makes the stations sound horrible. Not the same in FM! If i turn the car off the humming noise stays until the radio completely powers off. Everything is stock, stock NAV unit, stock speakers, no add on's. What am i missing before i go chasing gremlins. Some say its the amp, some says its the nav unit. How can i narrow down what it is?

Just had new head studs put in new head gasket and egr delete 2 new injectors put in

It will start and run fine. Drove it for an hour then began running rough. Nursed it back home. When idling it eventually died. It will eventually fire up but runs really bad. It has done this a few times. I've done fuel filters and 911 fuel treatment because thought it was gelling. No luck...
It has injector circuit fault codes that pop up. Only other code is MAF sensor low but in range. First it was codes for cylinders 3,5. Then 3,5,8. Then 1,3,5,8. Now just injector 1. Keeps changing as I refresh. Battery power fine. FICM is 47.5- 48volts and in sync. ICP at idle is 600-700psi. IPR is 25%.
We had a problem with blowing turbo pipe off so may be overboosting. Not sure. No code thrown relating to that. Possible wire chafing? Maybe bad tank of fuel? Not sure where to turn at this point.
My 2008 Dodge Caravan SXT is having A/C problems. The back air works great, all the time...however, the front air randomly turns off and on. It doesn't matter what speed I'm going, what speed the knob is turned to (low vs. high), it just stops blowing. When I'm driving at a faster speed I can feel the cold air barely coming through the vents, but doesn't change when I move the knob. All along, the back A/C works perfectly. I've looked online and found a lot of things about the resistor, blower motor, fuse and WIN module. How I can narrow it down without paying the dealership an arm and a leg to fix things that might not even be the issue?
View 4 Replies08 screw lariat. Got home today turned off my truck and when I opened my door the radio did not turn off, and when i hit the lock unlock button on the door nothing happened. The keypad on the out side would not function either. I used the key fob to lock and unlock the doors but the radio still would not turn off. I ended up having to open the passenger side door to get the radio to turn off. What is going on with the driver side door?

View 2 RepliesOk have a slight lack of information but ill explain this the best I can. Friend of mine has an 04 5.4 that occasionally wont start. turn the key and gets nothing. other times it will start right up. thinking this is either a starter or ignition switch issue just trying to verify before he drops what money he has to try and fix it. When the truck fails to start he says he hears a click from under the hood and that's it, but if he tries it several times occasionally it will finally turn over and start. I did try to search for this prior but found nothing so I think I'll just have him get the starter test and go from there.

View 1 RepliesMy parents have an 07 f150 with remote start and for some reason it will not work, it locks the doors and turns the key on but it doesnt turn the engine over, we brought it to a local dealership and they just unplugged it and plugged it back in and it started working... but later down the road, like 150 kilometers my mom got out to go shopping and it wouldn't work again, does this mean the whole module has to be replaced or is there a quick fix to this, it looks like the stock ford remote start but it has a separate keychain for the button, if it has to be fixed, any instructions on how to do it?
