How to remove the trim around my rear window. Do you just pop it off somehow?

View 14 RepliesI am installing the wiring for trailer lights in my 2007 B6 wagon. I need to remove the interior trim panels for this, but I can't find any diagrams or DIYs on where the screws or clips are. I don't want to just go at it and end up putting pressure in the wrong places and breaking clips.
View 1 RepliesI noticed a few weeks ago when I was in the bed of my truck that the black plastic trim piece around the rear window appears to be broken. it's on the left side near the top. when I look down there it looks like the brackets are broken on one side. I've never noticed any water leak back there. I'd like to definitely get it fixed, but I don't think the dealer would have a listing for it anymore if it's not crazy expensive. I looked at LMC truck and there doesn't seem to be what I need on there. It's a 2002 F150 Lariat Supercrew non-sliding window.

View 4 RepliesMy passenger side rear vent window is leaking and I was gonna redo the weather stripping but I can't figure how to release the latch from the motor. It looks like a ball and socket type connection with a little wire clip in it, but I tried pulling it out and it wouldn't come out very far, and tried pushing in in more but no luck. I don't want to break the darn thing for sure.
View 9 RepliesMy rear window is leaking on my '97 f-150. When it rains water gets in on the passenger side only. I know from reading that this is a common problem. I've tightened up the fasteners that hold the window in place, but it still leaks. Could the high mount brake light be the entry point? Is there supposed to be a gasket behind it? Or is any water that may get behind it supposed to be channeled away somehow?
View 14 RepliesI have unfortunately discovered that rain is coming through the rear window of my truck. If it was a big job to fix it. The caulking appears to be rotten and I'm wondering if some goop will seal it up. I'm just not sure how to get the trim off!!
View 14 RepliesI have an 02 extended cab F150 and whenever it rains the rear window leaks (it doesnt have a slider, it's solid) and the half doors leak too... i sealed the back window with caulk to try and fix it and it worked for about 2 storms and then it started to leak again. The side doors leak at the seam where they meet the front doors... Should i order new seals for the windows? or is there a simpler way to do it that isnt as expensive..
View 9 Replies2001 F150 Supercrew Lariat, the back window is the factory sliding window, it is leaking around the top on the drivers side, leaks bad. Question is how easy is it to remove the window and replace the seal?
View 10 RepliesMy 2002 has a sliding rear window. I noticed the rubber weatherstripping pieces that seal the sliding piece of glass was out of place. I slid the window open and it fell off. I then looked at the others and they were being held on by a thread.
I took them off. There is black rubber or weatherstrip adhesive in the tracks the strips came from. Do I need to scraped that out and reapply adhesive? Is there a video or tutorial on this somewhere?
Patching cracks of the rear window frame? I am talking about the actual glass casing assembly and the cracks are viewable from inside the cab of the truck. I've found two small cracks and that is exactly where the water will stream in.
I was just about to pull the rear window out to replace the butyl seal when I pinpointed the cracks. So is it possible to use some RTV, form a gasket, or JB weld or something else to patch these cracks?
Are the sliding rear windows more prone to cracking? If so I'll probably replace the assembly with a solid rear window. Where I should purchase a replacement window?
I had the strangest thing happen today. I started my 2004 TB EXT at the auto parts store (getting brake pads for my grand am), and a strange thumping started coming from the pass-side rear. I got out and popped the hatch. Sounded like it was coming from trim panel under rear window. I held my boot against the tailpipe, thinking maybe I broke a muffler mount; didn't work. Figured I'd try getting it home before something let loose. Sound went away about 100 ft down the road. I'm guessing it was something electrical.
View 1 RepliesHow to remove the front seat trim? It is the trim with the seat control panel. Additionally, where to get the VW Phaeton Service Manual?
View 7 RepliesI have a 03 5.4 F150 SCrew... The intake was leaking on the passenger side (water outlet tube meets plastic).
Putting in the Dorman replacement and noticed that the front cylinder drivers side (#5) had a decent amount of coolant in it.. None of the others did. I've drained the coolant already and was wondering should I just put this back together and see?
The water outlet crossing has a hole right next to this cylinder and I can't see any cracks and not sure if the gaskets were leaking under it.
Seems like if the head gasket was blown I would see it in more cylinders? It never smoked or run bad before I got this leak... Drove it maybe 10 miles with it leaking out onto Cyl#1. Ran fine, never missed.
I just don't want to put this back together if the head gasket is blown but I don't know what to do.
I busted the cable end by not removing it properly. My question is what is the proper method of remove the cable from the throttle body? Are the cable ends replaceable? If so who has them as a google search didn't find any? I've tried to find written information but haven't any luck. bl2009
View 1 RepliesI have a 2016 Prius C Persona. I'm thinking of removing the green trim on the sides and under the headlights. How difficult it is, or if there's a chance I'd damage the paint?
View 19 RepliesI've got a 2003 camry LE/V6. The interior trim fabric to the right and left of the rear window is curling back on the trim panel away from the glass. This has been happening slowly over a year or so and now has reached a point of requiring repair. I've searched the site, but haven't found anything directly related. These panels appear to be separate from the headliner and the rear window shelf. How these panels come out? If these snap into clips and can be removed, I might be able to match fabric closely enough to be OK.
View 2 Replies2002 F150 5.4... I thought that I saw on here before a link that explained how to replace the heater core without removing the entire dash console. Looking for a link for this or get some good directions on how to replace the heater core?
View 1 RepliesI have a 1997 ford explorer, the passenger side rear window only works in one direction, I have tested motor and it does work in both directions reversing the polarity, checked switch by checking voltage on each prong of plug (where motor plugs into harness), and does get 12 volts on each line as switch is being activated,I think there may be a ground problem on the one side that does not work, where to start looking??
View 1 RepliesI may not be searching correctly...? How the back inside trim is removed from the hatch window. I know the handle has the two Torx screws does the trim pull out or are there clips? Don't want to break any plastic parts. I found how to fix the back lock. I found the back barn door trim removal.
