My rear center seat belt receiver(the female side) is broken. I haven't had any luck finding one online and my local dealership only wants to sell the entire assembly. I only need the female....are these available for purchase anywhere?

View 9 RepliesI noticed a few weeks ago when I was in the bed of my truck that the black plastic trim piece around the rear window appears to be broken. it's on the left side near the top. when I look down there it looks like the brackets are broken on one side. I've never noticed any water leak back there. I'd like to definitely get it fixed, but I don't think the dealer would have a listing for it anymore if it's not crazy expensive. I looked at LMC truck and there doesn't seem to be what I need on there. It's a 2002 F150 Lariat Supercrew non-sliding window.
View 7 RepliesSo it seems as if either the switch in the driver's side seat belt indicator is sticking (off, indicating my seat belt is NOT fastened even though it is), or it's broken. Although, it doesn't do this EVERY time I fasten my seat belt, it's doing it more frequently. I have to refasten it (multiple times) to get it to see it's fastened.
View 5 RepliesMy fiance has a 97 Corolla had belt that was located near the engine block on the passenger side going long ways. This belt had a frayed edge since she and I started dating(over 2 years). Whenever asked about it, she said that any dealership or shop she took it to for something else said that it was fine or they didn't think it needed to be worked on/fixed. Alarms for me? Yes, but it's her car. For whatever reason, it hasn't been fixed.
Yesterday, the battery light kept flashing on and off and the steering became hard and sluggish, as if the power steering wasn't working. We got home and I opened it up and the belt was gone except for a few solid strands left.
So, is this the timing belt, or something else? And what is required to fix it?I'm also in the process of hunting down my Haynes book for this car still but wanted to ask the masses that exist here.After finding the book, it looks to be called the serpentine drive belt.
I tried to lower the back seat the other day and the right side handle that you pull up snapped off. I can't figure out how to lower the back seat with the handle broken. I've tried reaching down with a pliers to grasp where the handle was connected and pull up but I can't get it to work. How to fix this?
View 1 RepliesI folded down my rear seat the other day and it wouldn't unfold. I took it to Lexus and they wanted to replace a broken cable in the seat. I decided to do it myself. I found the parts I need on Sewell. The problem is that I am having a hard time getting access to the cables in the seat. How to get access to the cables in the seat or how to remove it so I can figure it out from there?

View 9 RepliesI recently purchased 2003 gti with a broken timing belt i bought a reman cylinder head did the timing belt, water pump, belt tensioner, cam chain, and cam chain tensioner. I read the service manual and many forums before setting the timing. I got it all set and back together it runs great at the low end but it feels like when it starts to build boost pressure it stops making power. Would i throw a check engine light if the timing was any off? Would it run well on the low end and then lose power if the timing was off or should i be looking in a diffrent direction? I just want to make sure timing is not an issue.

In fact, that happened to me and I'm going to have it fixed next week. Now, however, the front passenger side seat belt is stuck about 2/3 of the way out. Can't pull out more and won't retract.

View 4 RepliesI recently bought a 2003 Ford Ranger. What I want to do is unhook the seat belt chime. In the past with the other 3 Rangers I owned I unplugged it from under the seat. But when I unplugged this one the light for the air bag stayed on. I like the freedom to choose and I don't care for the chime.

I just got my clazzio seat cover yesterday, spent the whole day installing it. I'm up to the last seat (rear passenger side) where i need to remove the seat belt.
I'm having problem removing the seat belt. Tried with several different tools, including variable speed tool, and even tried turning it to the right in case it has different direction to unbolt, but it just wouldn't turn at all.
I called the dealership, but no luck. So i'm now stucked with all but 1 seat being covered. I went to some shops today, most wouldn't touch it because it's liability issue.
2003 Ex, EB, bench style middle row. I have owned less than a year.
Purchased with a broken latch assembly the drivers side middle row...promptly replaced for $70. Today, it is broke again, less than a year. I am going to do some more investigating as to HOW this happened TWICE.
Chipped, broken housing on their middle latch assembly? It breaks the black part first, which holds the guts in alignment....once the black part slips down or up to far...the guts do not function.
I pinpointed a consistent vibration in the rear L & R pillars! Using a rubber mallet on the tires you can hear the recoil springs vibration s and for me, I hear the back center seat retractor recoil spring vibrating! Going address this with the dealership for updated fixes, or I have to fix this myself. I have taken the rear seat apart and welded reinforcement bracket to stabilize the retractor, but the coil spring vibrates.even w the JBL system turn up I can hear the retractor coil spring vibrating distorting the music!

View 3 RepliesSo Iv a couple weeks ago I bought a 1998 f150 and today I was gonna do the fuel filter and saw the line goin to the engine was broken and they put a rubber hose in line. The hose is only about 6inchs and I work at ford so I got the price on the whole fuel line running up to the engine. I was just wondering if any repairs that work for metal fuel lines.
