I have a 2003 F150. My horn and cruise both stopped working. All fuses are OK. Cruise controls are on steering wheel (as is horn). Why both would stop working???
View 2 RepliesI have an '02 F150 Lariat CC 5.4L. The truck is new to me and neither the cruise control nor the horn works. i have checked all (known) fuses and relays. I have tried the cc diagnostic, and the dash light DOES NOT illuminate. Should I assume that the dash light is not burned out? Is there a way to test the clock spring connections for continuity? and how do I access the connection
i checked the cc brake pressure switch and have continuity there.
I am having trouble with all sorts of functions on my 2002 F150 4x4, 4wd not working, cluster module illumination not working, horn not working, reving up and down at idle and sometimes dyin, cruise control quit working. I have been reading it is the GEM module that causes these issues. My question is I ordered a new one from Ford, when it arrives I was told I can just install it and It should be pre programmed. but one ford house tells me that they have to install it and program it. Which it right? I have seen several sites on u tube where people replace the module and then start their truck right up without any issue.

The horn no longer works. The air bag light is on, on the dashboard.
I have checked all the fuses and they appear to be good.
How would I diagnose this problem?
I have a 2002 f150 super crew, 5.4l and 4wd. The low tone horn is not working and I am having trouble locating it. Where do you suppose Ford has hid it?

View 14 RepliesMany of you said it was the "ClockSpring" that needed to be replaced. But I already did that. A brand new clockspring on it. The horn only blows when the engine is off and when the engine is on the horn and Curse Control don't work. I have a 2001 Excursion. So What could the problem be? It works with the keyless remote. But just when you driving down the street and some bone head cut you off you can't just it.
View 5 RepliesA few years ago I had the clutch changed on my 1997 F150. Afterwards the cruise control wasn't working. When I brought the truck back to the repair shop I heard the manager tell the mechanic to "attach the clip by the pedal" and that fixed it.
I just had some work done, had to replace the oil pan, and the mechanic had to remove the transmission. Now the cruise control doesn't work. I changed the Pressure switch but it didn't fix the cruise control. What that clip might be that fixed the cruise control last time?
I did the diagnosis,on my non working cruise control on my 2000 f250. The cruise light came on when, I, depressed the off switch and turned key on. I depressed on switch,cruise light came on.
I then depressed the resume, coast, and set switch, as described in the diagnostic procedure,suggested,and no light came on. Do the switches for the cruise control are bad.
I have checked the fuses at the power distribution box under the hood and checked the fuses under dash,all are fine. I just replaced the switch at master cylinder, as it was leaking and it had the recall switch replacement, too.
I have an 89 f250 7.3. horn has not been working for the longest time the relay clicks but still nothing. It doesn't matter weather the key is in the on or off position. I know it might be a grounding problem because the cruise control does not work any more (even though recently it was working just fine). I didn't see any bad fuses.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2001 F-250 SD XLT with the ABS light on, cruise control doesnt work and the horn only works with the key out. The codes for the ABS is no signal input from the left and right front wheel sensors. No problem there. Also my speedo stops or jumps when I press the horn button while driving down the road. When I quit pressing the horn button the speedo works fine. So after looking over the posts on cruise control, etc. Does the rear speed sensor have anything to do with the cruise, horn not working? All fuses are good so I am thinking the cruise control switch on the master cylinder or a short in the steering wheel column or my ignition switch. What do you all think?
View 7 RepliesLast week my door locks just stopped working so I checked all the fuses and relays which all were good but still no power took door panels off and checked with tester and no power to switches or actuators, Checked wiring in between door and cab and no broken or bare wires. This truck does have remotes and they don't work either, what's going on ?
View 2 RepliesI am trying to troubleshoot why my heater blower, cruise control and info center above my rear-view mirror has stopped working. I am trying to confirm power to an orange wire next to the driver-side fuse box. I have confirmed no power at the fuses. I am hoping the problem is the wire box below the fuse box and not the ignition switch. I have a wiring diagram and the power feed to these three fuses is via an Orange wire. There are two Orange wires in the box, I am trying to determine which one feeds the fuses for these three devices. I have a picture of the fuse box.

View 6 Replies2003 F150 4wd with auto climate control. My blower for heat and AC completely stopped working a few weeks ago. I have checked all fuses, i replaced the relay under the dash, i replaced the blower motor control module. I supplied power to the blower motor itself and it ran fine with no noises. I ran the self test on the controller in the dash under the radio and it passed. I am not sure what else to try.
View 7 RepliesOk this is actually on my girls car, a 2000 Altima. But i know all newer AC systems work the same. Cus its the same set up as my 98 f150. But the AC will work great for the first 15 mins or so then i notice the pump stops working(not cycling on/off) So i turn it off for 5 mins and then it starts working again and i hear the pump engaging, but it will only work for like 5 mins now. Could it be a bad pressure cycling switch or clogged condenser and gettn the AC too hot and it shuts down.
View 3 RepliesMy 03 5.4 the obd2 port isnt working i have tried 4 bluetooth adapters and a snap on scanner and nothing will connect to the ecm. im having problems and trying to read codes my check engine light isnt on but that don't mean anything. my truck is running really rich and blows a little bit black smoke when i rev it up after its been idling a few min and getting horrible gas mileage again. yesterday i went to start it and i had to crank on it 4 time before it finally started and then when i reved it up it almost died on the way back down but it caught itself. then today i go out and it starts right up and runs fine but its still running rich but i still cant get an obd2 adapter to connect to the ecm. I checked the fuse and its not blown my cigarette plug and the power port both work. i really dont know where to start in trying to figure out this problem. Right now iI don't really want to take it to a shop right now.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2002 f150 supercrew, 4wd. The power door locks stopped working the other day and I am trying to fix it. So far I have checked the fuse in the power distribution box, good. I have checked the wires from the doors to the cab along the door sills to the rear doors , all good. I did find a couple of iffy grounds on the left kick panel and cleaned and repaired them. I am having a heck of a time finding the group of relays that control the lock and unlock functions. Remember , I have no power lock function at all. I would swear its not getting power to the relays but until I find them , I just don't know. Where they are supposed to be?
