I have a broken headlight adjuster assembly, it's a steel bolt with a Plastic nut on it, the Star piece behind the nut is broken. What is the source for this part ?? A Ford part number????
View 4 RepliesSeveral weeks ago someone backed into my '97 RAV4 in a parking lot. Body shop charged around $900 for the repair (estimate indicates labor for both headlights, but doesn't look like they replaced them). This afternoon one of the low beam headlights burned out. I went to change both sides just to be safe. On both headlight assemblies, grasping the wire assemblies to the low beam bulbs, the headlight assembly on both the left and right side is loose within its housing. I've changed the bulbs in the past, this is something new. Take it back to the body shop? What happened????
View 7 RepliesI have a 2009 Prius with NON HID headlights. The left one appears to not adjust properly. If I remove the bulb boot, the light bounces up and down (the part that is supposed to adjust). When I turn the adjuster, it will wiggle down then up again, like it is not engaging the screw inside... Also, when I hit a bump, the left beam bounces. The main housing is secure, just the inner (adjustable) one is not.
View 5 RepliesSo i was adjusting my headlamp and it popped and now the internal cartridge part is all loose and my headlamp is pointing at the ground. Long story short I need to remove my headlamp and repair, how do you fix the internal tray? I have only REPLACED lamps before never repaired them. Have to remove the cover lense or is there some other way? If I have to remove the lense I am just going to buy a new headlamp at the junk yard.
View 1 RepliesI got an 03 extended cab with triton 5.4 to replace my 1995 f150. no plates yet, just parked in drive. moved it around a few times, ran fine. tonight it wouldn't start. dark, cold, impatient etc... couldn't get air filter apart, drilled hole in plastic, added ether and blew it all into the neighbors yard. sounded like a muzzle loader. nothing usable on it. blew filter holder apart and everything inline. my question, do i replace with stock or get one of these breather kits i read about??? Western motor sports, etc....... Any "digs" well, i deserve them. keep in mind i don't need extra horsepower. I'm an HVAC guy and this is my work truck. i care about mileage.

View 3 RepliesSo Iv a couple weeks ago I bought a 1998 f150 and today I was gonna do the fuel filter and saw the line goin to the engine was broken and they put a rubber hose in line. The hose is only about 6inchs and I work at ford so I got the price on the whole fuel line running up to the engine. I was just wondering if any repairs that work for metal fuel lines.

Any ways they broke the keyhole on the drivers side. It has been pushed all the way into the door. Assuming I have to replace this, how much or what will be involved to do so?

View 2 RepliesI noticed a few weeks ago when I was in the bed of my truck that the black plastic trim piece around the rear window appears to be broken. it's on the left side near the top. when I look down there it looks like the brackets are broken on one side. I've never noticed any water leak back there. I'd like to definitely get it fixed, but I don't think the dealer would have a listing for it anymore if it's not crazy expensive. I looked at LMC truck and there doesn't seem to be what I need on there. It's a 2002 F150 Lariat Supercrew non-sliding window.

View 1 RepliesLast night I broke the tail light at the grocery store... I came out and there was a line of carts behind my car that a parking lot attendant was collecting. I added my cart to the end and went to shove them all out of the way, and he yells to me, "I got it! I got it!" so I leave them, get into my car, see him go past with a bunch of carts & back up. What this will run? Can I just replace the lens or do I have to replace the whole assembly? And is this something I can easily enough swap out myself?
View 2 RepliesMy headlights suffered from the dreaded condensation problem. I brought them to Lexus after getting the warranty enhancement paperwork and had them replaced. Shortly after the passenger side wheel cover was ripped off after getting caught on some ice during a storm. It was very shortly after that that condensation begin appearing in my passenger side headlight.
At that point I was unaware that the wheel well cover had been ripped off. I brought it back to Lexus to have it looked at since I only had the headlight replaced a few weeks before. I was told it would be at a cost of $2,500 to replace with an additional $400 for the wheel well cover. Needless to say, I did not have the work done that day. While I was waiting them for them to finish the paperwork I bought the wheel well cover for $50 online but since then I've had difficulty locating the headlight.
I brought it to my mechanic and he was unable to find the headlight as well. I have a 2009 rx350 with HID AFS headlights. I have looked on ebay, Amazon and just through the internet to see what I could find but I'm finding only halogen headlights. Most of what I'm seeing on eBay are for non-adaptive lights that are damaged.
I'm trying to replace my dads 2007 Camry XLE japan built headlight assembly because his are insanely oxidized. Besides OEM's and CAPA's, what else are there? Any good aftermarket headlight assembly and achieve great results?

View 13 RepliesSo I'm getting code p0500 the question I have is will the speed sensor on the tail on my transmission cause this code on my 99 f150 4x4 . the reason I ask is because this sensor has been broken off . I'm hopeful it only control's my speedometer and is not related to the code . I've tried to remove what is left however in fear if I get it loose it may fall into the transmission. I will be replacing the speed sensor on the pumpkin this weekend . but the transmission it's the upper one is broke off below the surface of the transmission this is a manual transmission....
