Need location of the fuses for 12V power in dash.

View 2 RepliesI started getting the 5 sets of 5 beeps which indicates an airbag error. My light doesn't come on when I turn off the passenger airbag switch and the light on the dash doesn't come on when I first cut the key on, so I started checking fuses. The airbag fuse, #22 tested fine. But while checking these things I found out that I have no power to the following fuses;
1. #16 headlights (hi beams), cluster (high beam indicator).
2. #18 instrument illumination (dimmer switch power).
3. #20 Audio, GEM, PCM, Transmission range sensor.
4. #21 DTR sensor, Clutch switch, Starter relay, I/P fuse 20.
5. #26 Right-hand low beam headlight.
6. #27 Foglamp relay and foglamp indicator, Main light switch (upstream).
7. #28 Left-hand low beam headlight.
All of the headlights, etc are working and the only service engine error I get when I use my code scanner is P0401. Why would these items work if I'm not getting power to the fuse block. These fuses are not blown mind you, not getting power to either side of the fuses.
I'm going to replace the bulb in the passenger side airbag switch, but what would keep the warning light on the dash from lighting up when I turn the switch on?
The truck is an 03 F150 XL, 2wd automatic transmission. Very basic work type truck, no fog lights, no power windows or doors, etc. It has the 4.6 Romeo engine in it.
I have a 99 F150 v6 and the radio stopped working. No power to the radio and no power to fuses 20(5A-Audio, GEM Module, Powertrain ControlModule (PCM)) & 21(15A-Starter Relay, Clutch Switch, Fuse 20). I have switched the fuses out, but the new ones don't show any voltage on either side as well. All other fuses seem to be good.
View 1 RepliesSo I pulled into my driveway yesterday about 5 minutes after my low fuel light came on and as I was making the final turn around my house the engine cut off. Luckily I was able to park in it's normal spot before coming to a halt.
Anyway at first I though "out of gas" even though I knew I'd driven further with the light on. After putting in 3 gallons still no luck. I noticed with the key on no noise from the fuel pump so I checked the fuse and relay both were fine. I then checked all the other fuses and noticed the large 30amp PCM fuse under the hood was blown.
When I replaced it, it blew instantly. I was able to hear the fuel pump come on for a brief second before it blew out. Unsure if the two were related I then pulled the Fuel Pump fuse and replaced the PCM fuse one more time and again it blew. The motor cranks over but won't fire (not getting fuel.) Where I can start to correct the issue.
I use to have the 95 f150 and 94 danger ranger. And I tried logging on after about a year and wouldn't let me so i started a new one, But im in a 98 f150 now with a 5.4 and 4x4. No i saw that there was a guy with the same problem as me but the thread went no where. So one night out of the blue my head lights or high beams will turn on. But everything else will. And all fuses are good and i look at the manual and there's no replays to mess with. Even though i already did. So what i had to do to get home was hot wire the passenger side bulb and i got power to both lights. So whats going on do u think it can be the switch ?. My power with started acting up a few days before this but I don't know if that has anything to do with the head lights.

View 1 RepliesI have 2002 F150 5.4L gas 4X4 Lariat FX4. Last winter when it got to -30C here in Manitoba one of the lines near the power steering cooler began to leak. I had just bought this truck and upon investigating found that the original line had been replaced and reattached with hose clamps. I had this "farmer fix" redone but then this winter when it hit -30C it blew apart. Obviously something happened to this line before I got it, so I am curious if there is an issue with these power steering cooler lines when it gets really cold. Should I just get factory lines installed and hope for the best?
View 3 RepliesI have a 2002 f150 supercrew, 4wd. The power door locks stopped working the other day and I am trying to fix it. So far I have checked the fuse in the power distribution box, good. I have checked the wires from the doors to the cab along the door sills to the rear doors , all good. I did find a couple of iffy grounds on the left kick panel and cleaned and repaired them. I am having a heck of a time finding the group of relays that control the lock and unlock functions. Remember , I have no power lock function at all. I would swear its not getting power to the relays but until I find them , I just don't know. Where they are supposed to be?

View 1 RepliesI have a 97 F-150 that the A/C went from blowing cold to hot instantly. I have done the following;
1. Checked fuse. Was good.
2. Checked Low Pressure connection.
On this, I jumpered the connector and could not get the clutch to engage. I also checked to make sure I had 12v from that point, which I did.
3. Checked the power to the clutch assembly. Got nothing. I also put 12v directly to the clutch and it poped in just fine.
Based on all of this I think I have a bad relay between the low pressure sensor and the clutch assembly. The only problem is I cant find it. Where this relay is located

View 4 RepliesI'm looking for information and possible photo location for the blower motor resistor. My truck has climate control. I've looked under the dash on the passenger side and behind the glove box door and I've been unable to spot the location. Do I have to remove the plastic panel behind the glove box?
View 6 RepliesHad a question about where the battery fuse is located and it's number. I just put a brand new alternator on.my truck. Turns out I might not have needed one, switched the battery with the new alternator on and the truck still went dead after it ran for about 10-12 seconds. So some told me it may be the battery fuse but I don't know which fuse it could be.
View 2 RepliesI've got a 2001 f150 XLT and I've checked the Haynes manual and searched Google but I'm having no luck.
I'm trying to locate the sensor for the Automatic Head Lights.
I had a small "spill" on the dash at night and immediately the lights started to blink and click. It fixed itself but sometimes it will do a weird little "click, click noise" change thing. I would like to clean the sensor or ensure it's not partially blocked.
Locating subject relay on my F-150 XLT Extended Cab, 4.6Ltruck. All my research thus far indicates it is somewhere on the truck. An electrical diagram I've come up with shows it in the "Blower/Flasher Relay Block". So my question is exactly where is the Blower/Flasher Relay Block?
View 4 RepliesF250 LD 99. Battery light flashing from time to time. When it happen voltage gauge in dash go up (but not in red zone so far). All other light are blinking too but not on and of like battery warning light then like stronger - weaker. So far at Internet is said should be ground. I saw one ground at firewall close to negative post of battery but where is other ground? Can it be voltage regulator (alternator)? Did clean battery posts, didn’t work. 4,6 engine. Voltage at battery posts with engine on is 14,7 - 15,1 V. With engine off 12,3 V.
Didn't managed to check voltage when is battery light flashing as it only happen when I drive not at idle.
I am in the process of re-assembling a 97 F-150 that was disassembled by someone else. Looking for photos or reference as to where the bracket for the parking brake should be located and how? It looks as if the bracket connects to the front leaf spring hanger, but I'd like to see a photo of it in position as well as routing of the cable around the spring and axle. I'm concerned with re-installing it and having it in a position where it will bind or get pinched.
View 1 RepliesI have a 99 f150 XL 4.6, 5 speed. I spent some time tracing the leads around the ignition system to find the EDIS module. The purpose of this is to install a aftermarket tach coming off the EDIS. This seems to be a simple approach and I have a pin diagram handy for it. I am initially shying away from tapping into the EEC. Maybe better yet, what wire color to splice behind the gauge cluster that would be useful too.
