I have a Sport trac and its killing me. The windows, radio, wipers and 4x4 does not work. I have checked all of the fuses and even replaced the GEM module and they are still not working.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2000 Ford Windstar Van with 155,000 miles on it. A problem has developed with the electrical system/components. The van will start and run fine. With the engine running, there is no instrumentation, power windows do not work, wind shield wipers do not work, radio does not work, heater blower motor does not work. After the engine has been shut off, the radio will work, windows will work, door locks until such time as you open the door, then all quits. With the key in accessory, the windows work, door locks work, radio works, etc. The neutral module was replaced (the old one, none of the contacts appeared to be burnt). Ford dealer spent an hour trouble shooting - checked body modules (2) - found nothing.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2003 F250 Lariat 6.0L Crew Cab. My wipers, radio and power windows don't work. I have painstakingly checked every one of the fuses to see if there was one or more blown. All were OK.
I removed the fuse panel under the dash and have disassembled it to look for obvious clues, burnt wires/heat damage etc. but everything looks fine. Have pushed all of the fuses in to make sure they were seated properly. No joy.
I recently replaced one of the back windows in my truck and had to detach the rear dome light and I remember one of the wires sparking. Where to start diagnosing this problem?
How to get into that bundle of wires going between the drivers door and body for a 2002 Sport Trac? I have a break in the wire that feeds 12v to the passenger windows. If I push the bundle backward the windows work. The flexible rubber jacket goes into a plastic housing and I'm not sure if I need to pull off the door panel and un-hook or unscrew it. Is there a connector inside that plastic thing?

View 3 RepliesMy 2002 F250 Crew/Diesel/4X4/lariat has ever since I bought it, had an electronic problem.. sometimes I start it, the heat coil light stays on, sometimes the radio won't work, the windows won't work.. then about 2 minutes later, they work, my back up alarm always comes on turned off... sometimes my fuel gauge registers weird, ....

View 3 RepliesI have a 1997 explorer 5.0 AWD. The problem is that when it is about 44 degrees and below, the windshield wipers, power windows, and interior lights don't and won't work. We will run the heater until it warms up the interior, then everything seems to work fine. I usually leave the wipers on so I know when it is warmed up enough. I have checked all of the fuses and all are fine. the only thing that I can think of is there is a crack in the back of the fuseblock that breaks contact when the metal is cold.
View 2 RepliesJust picked up the truck 1995 Ranger XLT. 3L...5spd...4x4...no power windows or door locks. The key buzzer only buzzes for a few seconds, if you move the ignition it buzzes for a few seconds each time its moved. The wipers only work when the buzzer is dinging. Also..the wipers when turned off stay in the up position. I replaced the ignition key mechanism and the on off wiper relay. What am i missing in this weird scenario??
View 1 RepliesWiper problem is that they only work on high. The symptoms are as follow. The relay is working as the controls are ran thru the intermittent steps. I have tried two control switches and they acted the same. So, I believe the problem is in the motor. There doesn't appear to be any wire problems on the plug so it must be inside the motor. Could this be that grease problem inside the motor and it just needs to be cleaned and re-greased?
Radio, Has power to the plug but doesn't work at all. It doesn't appear to have a head unit fuse that I keep reading about. I have not tried to hook it up direct yet but will try that tonight. I am trying to get this truck ready to sell and need to get these items cleared up.
It is a 2001 XLT Extra Cab 4X4 with a 3.0.
My wife's 07 explorer rear wiper wont work cant find wire diagram tested for power no power had hatch open, say hatch close, still no power say relay. Where switches relays fuses are besides the 5 amp fuse below the dash....
View 1 RepliesI have a Chrysler 2002 T & C. When the ignition is "on", everything works, but if the car starts, these accessories drop out and don't come back on for minutes at a time. The ignition switch has been replaced, but it still happens?????
View 3 RepliesI bought a 2004 Explorer a couple of years ago and at the time some ot the windows only work some of the time. Then the drivers side fron and rear passenger window stopped working. Now all but the front passenger side stopped working. I've changed the master switch and no change. I know that it is probably a broken wire between the drivers side door and cab but can't understand how the front passenger side would still work if that was the case. If it wasn't grounded or if a wire was broken wouldn't all of the windows stop working? Also the rear passenger power door lock has all of a sudden stopped.....
View 14 RepliesOk, about a month ago my drivers door power window just ceased to work. (Sadly in the lowered position) I pulled the panel off, and examined the switch housing. By removing the terminals from a window that worked, and putting them in the drivers terminal, I determined that the regulator/motor assembly was bad. Fast forward to today, after wrestling with some issues, the NEW regulator/motor are installed. But here's the kicker, NO CHANGE!!! Still wont work!!! The fuse/CB is good, all other windows work. The switch test good when voltmeter applied...so now I'm stumped.

Just purchased my first Explorer. It's a 2003 Explorer XLS. Only problem with it is that both rear door Windows don't work. The dealership where I purchased the vehicle immediately threw a new drivers side door switch in it to no avail. Now they want to throw two new window regulators in it. Before they do that though I am going to do some checking to see if they are getting power. Both front Windows work just fine.

View 6 RepliesOdd thing happened this evening, I took the truck for a short drive, rolled down the drivers power window, and then needed to turn on the map light, but realized it didn't work, same with the radio. The clock on the radio works, and now none of the window switches do anything.. I tested every fuse under the dash, even swapped around all of the relays that have the same part number, to no avail.. Is there something simple I'm missing that is a common problem with these trucks? I'd hate to have to leave my window down for awhile till I figure it out on my own..

View 1 RepliesDriving home today the truck's radio quit, then the power windows would not work. Dome light would not come on and truck started running poorly. Over a period of ten miles it went from running normal to creeping along just above idle (1200 rpm or so). Then it quit completely. Did not have enough juice to start. Checked battery voltage ~13volts. About an hour after it quit it started and act like nothing was wrong. What do you all think might have caused this?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2006 Dodge Caravan that when I drive at highway speeds and it's wet out, my air bad light comes on and about 50% of the time, the radio, fan, windshield wipers, and 12v outlet stop working suggesting the fuse or some other wiring is getting wet. The dealer cannot replicate and will not suggest any fixes. What do I have my local mechanic replace or seal?
I know there's a Chrysler recall on 2005-2006 Caravans, #J38, but my Caravan falls outside the specs by 2 mths (it was for vehicles in service between Jan 2005 and April 2006).
