Turn signal flasher doesn't work in the heat. What gives?
All lights work. Turn signal stalk works fine. It just flashes a couple of times, then stays on. Everything works fine in cool weather, but it rarely works at all when the temperature outside is above 90 degrees. Very annoyed.
I towed my friends car hauler yesterday for a short distance for him. I had no turn signals or 4 way flasher while towing. After dropping off the trailer still no signals or 4way flasher. I parked and checked fuses all were good and signals started to work. But still no 4ways. Any thoughts on what to look for. Never had this before. I have blown a fuse before and always been able to find and fix.

I have taken the flasher apart and tried all the tricks on the book to isolate each pin on the IC and changed the timing resistor without avail. I do not want to put in load resistor on the bulb end to fool the detection circuit.
I want to modify/cut off the detection circuit?
My front left turn signal won't work, the signal on my dash board doesn't work, and the signal in the rear blinks rapidly. but the whole right side is fine. this is aggravating, I have changed the lightbulb in the front and nothing happened. It still doesn't work.
View 5 RepliesI have checked all wires for krosion and fuse's are good so confused! Just put brand new tail lights bulbs in! The top one comes on as a running light but nothing else works. I also checked under hood fuses too!
1.Only Hazard light that works is on the Right Front passenger side.
2 Drivers side Brake Light & Turn Signal Doesn't Work. But passenger works fine! Left turn signal is out and blinks really fast!
3.Passenger Side Overhead Outside Light on cab is out . Okay that's probably just a bulb!
I have an 03 accord EX. The right turn signal doesnt work at all. I have changed the bulbs and the fuse. The left signal works just fine, while the right doesn't work front or back and the indicator light on the dash doesnt come on or click. Same happens when I put on the hazards. Its like there is no power at all to that side...
View 7 RepliesI have a 2003 V10 Excursion with an electrical problem. The right turn, right brake and right hazard light do not work but the flasher makes the clicking noise. When the right turn signal is on, the right front turn signal light works but is at double speed. The right rear light does not work. Same when brake and hazard are applied.
I checked the bulb socket with a multi meter and have no current. I also checked my trailer plug and have all functions work. Fuses were checked also for the brake circuit and were all ok.
My 2000 Excursion 7.3 Limited started something all new this week. No brake lights, signal lights or flashers. The signal flasher relay is only a couple months old, but I don't think that's the issue. If I sit for just a moment with door open or park lights on, the truck is too week to start. Batteries seem fine and ALT is 14 volt charging when running (ALT replaced with used ALT about a month ago). Further, it has started having long starts like the glow plugs are not cycling. Any clue as to what might be going on?

View 1 RepliesExactly where that part is, pictures would be useful. Pretty much just had my whole dash apart with no luck. Switched to leds, and can't stand hyper flash like I thought I could. Trying to pull it to make sure I order the right part to correct it.
View 11 RepliesI have a '97 AWD and my brake light, turn signals and emergency flasher have stopped working. I've checked all the bulbs, checked all the fuses (under the dash) replaced the flasher just in front of the fuse box...nothing. All the running lights work, and the 3rd brake light above the rear door window works.
View 3 Replies2015 prius package 5 w tech package and HUD display, I found a flasher mounted up between the fuse box/ module assembly mounted on a clip! I have a led replacement flasher, but clip mounts and pin locations don't line up? I watch the video but I have nothing in area! Or I just need to install the resistors? Or it could be a combination circuit assembly where multiple function module all in one ?
View 1 RepliesI'm having an electrical issue that is driving me nuts. I have an '01 F-250 Super Duty that I just put a new battery in today. The truck normally runs great, I drive it to work everyday with no issues. Today, there is a noise coming from under the dash that sounds like the turn signal flasher, and the clock on my radio flashes in time with the noise from under the dash. All my lights are working ok, and all the idiot lights come on as usual when I put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position. However, my truck won't start. It won't even turn over. I get nothing but a dead switch when I turn it to the start position. The starter solenoid doesn't even click. Like I said, yesterday everything was just fine. I knew my battery was going bad (6 years old), so I changed it.
View 4 RepliesI have an '07 Azera and the turn signal sound is intermittent. The signals flash normally, but sometime I hear the flasher sound inside the car and sometime it is dead silent. Cannot seem to correlate it to temperature or other factors. Any way, I assume as the lights flash with no sound that either the flash or the sound is electronically generated, but cannot be like an old school mechanical flasher. What makes the flasher sound in the Azera and where is it located?
View 1 RepliesSo with 172,000 miles my truck has started a new trick. When I turn on the turn signals theyll flash or interrupt normally for a few times then stop. After I turn the signal lever off and back on again they start to flash again only to stop after several times. This happens to both the left and right hand sides. The emergency flashers seem to work alright. Is this a function of the indicator flasher SF631? If so, were exactly is it located?

View 6 RepliesMy g/f's 98 Passat 1.8T has been pretty bad on being able to blow hot air inside, and now that its colder out its even worse.
Ever since she got the car, the coolant temp gauge is always at it's coldest, so I'm thinking its time for a greentop sensor. Her coolant right now is a lil low so, in the meantime, I'll be headed to the dealer to get both a new CTS and some G12.
Her fan does blow air, but could there be anything else wrong that would keep it from blowing hot air?
So I looked at an 03 Excursion tonight, has some of the usual suspects, but the rear hatch lock doesn't work at all, with the key or with the power locks. This anything other than a "replace its guts" type operation? I've done the foil thing with my F350, actually i cut pennies and replaced the piece with that, but this seems mechanical.
