View 5 RepliesMy horn isn't working. The under-dash fuse is OK and was going to check the horn relay, but can't figure out which one it is despite numerous FTE and Google searches. I pulled the cover on 2 power distribution boxes under the hood, driver's side. One box has 2 relays. The other has 4. Which one controls the horn?
Then...how do I test it to see if it's good/bad?
I have a 03 for excursion and I am pretty sure i blew the relay for the fog lights today but looked in the glove box and everywhere for the owners manual and cannot find it anywhere in site... Looking for a diagram or can take a picture of where the fog light relay is and post it on here and which fuse or relay it is ?
View 14 RepliesMy rear A/C and heat are not working on my 2000 X. I don't have an owners manual for my truck, so if there's a rear A/C fuse somewhere either under the dash or under the hood?
View 2 RepliesIs there a fuse or some thing? Can I rig it?
View 6 RepliesMy horn suddenly stays on when I hit the horn and it doesn't beep when I lock the door with the key fob. Only way to turn it off is to shut off the truck. I thought it may be a faulty horn relay. I've asked many mechanics where the horn relay is located and every one gives a different answer. Under the hood, in the driver side kick panel, under the dash, near the horn itself. Where the horn relay is located on a 2004 F-150....
View 1 RepliesMy father is having electrical issues and I'm hoping this is the cause. Where this ground cable originates from?
He replaced the battery last week after vehicle would not start. Noticed he blew a radio fuse but nothing else until yesterday. Major issues of all instruments, ac, windows, etc going out. Unable to start vehicle without jump.Had a error code B1676. So today we switched the battery, all is good (for now) except for horn fuse that keeps blowing.
It's a 2007 ford explorer 2wd v6
Horn isn't working found fuse blown. Replaced fuse and horn stays on. Swapped relays still stays on. With fuse out pressing left side of horn cover on steering wheel I can feel/hear relay click. Pressing right side not so much. What and where to check? Is there a way to disconnect the horn buttons on the steering wheel?
View 1 RepliesAttempting to debug the Horn not working on my 2003 Ford F450, The fuse is good (shown as #37 15 amps) so next I would like to check the Horn relay.
View 5 RepliesMy horns aren't working. I'm getting power at the horn fuse, but no power at the horn connectors. Where is the horn relay located? Is it in the fusebox under the hood? There are many relays, but none of them labeled "horn".
View 7 RepliesI'm trying to figure out where the horn is. Since mine has graciously decided to not work!
View 7 RepliesLooking for a picture or diagram on where the horns high/low are located ? The how I can remove them ?
View 8 RepliesI don't use my horn unless absolutely necessary. Well, today it was. Guess what? The Sounds of Silence. No horn, no how.
Turned out, the No. 16 fuse was, in fact, blown. What caused that, I don't have a clue. Replaced it and it is working again. Hopefully, not a harbinger of electrical gremlins to come.
The horn doesn't work, but when I lock the car I get the "honk" from the factory alarm...
Long story short...car got broken into, radio stolen, n00b-dumbass radio installer from the insurance company was fuddeling around with the fuse box to power the radio via a 12v source (again...long story). His hands were also behind the kick panel below the steering wheel to run some wires. I only noticed the horn not working a few days after this guy worked on my car. Coincidence?
Is there a fuse / relay that goes bad with our horns?
It's under the hood or inside the car
View 2 RepliesMy driver side horn is not working but the passenger side is. Before I bring it to the dealer, is there a fuse for the horn?
View 4 RepliesI realized my newly bought Priuss' horn wasn't working when I tried using it earlier in the week.
Me and my dad and I opened up the hood, we realized that the fuse box was missing the horn fuse.
Dad being a a self taught mechanic, we inserted the fuse and almost instantly, the horn started going off. It was just a constant loud beep.
He then removed the fuse and the horn stopped.
Where is the horn relay for a 2007 Buick Lucerne?
View 3 RepliesHad a question about where the battery fuse is located and it's number. I just put a brand new alternator on.my truck. Turns out I might not have needed one, switched the battery with the new alternator on and the truck still went dead after it ran for about 10-12 seconds. So some told me it may be the battery fuse but I don't know which fuse it could be.
View 2 RepliesMy horn fuse on my 2011 LX 570 keeps blowing after first use of horn. What could be causing it?
View 3 RepliesJust noticed I have no more horn... I had car alarm issues for a while and the alarm would sound all day in the parking garage while I was at work (was keeping the car unlocked at home...) Finally fixed the hood pin.
Going back to the horn, the horn fuse was burned in the hood relay box, and when I replaced it and tried the horn again, it burned again... Where to start? Do I go for new relays, new horns, new wiring or all of the above...
