View 2 RepliesSo I am in the process of removing my front silver grill to paint it and was wondering do I need to drop the whole bumper to get it off??
View 16 RepliesAny good way to install and mount a light bar without drilling into the front bumper or grill? I have a 32" LED bar I want to mount between the top of the bumper and bottom of the grill, but the mounts aren't ideal for where I want to put the light.
View 9 RepliesI need to replace the center mesh grill on the front bumper. Is there anything I need to be careful with or watch out for. when I pull on the old grill or when I push the new one back into place? Does it come out easily or is it tricky?
View 4 RepliesSo a line of panic stops on the highway last night and I lost - stopping an 8000lb rig compared to hondas, nissans, etc. Anyway I just kissed the corner of a nissan xterra and dented the steel part of my front bumper below the driver headlight. Nothing else. It is a 2002 all black limited.
I am wondering about fixing vs. buying a new bumper. A new one from the dealer is 436 and then needs to be painted.
I have a Legend Ranch Hand Part# FBF991BLR front bumper. I am debating removing this as I don't really need it for my driving and the extra 450 lbs and hanging out there in the wind can't be good for the suspension and economy. Any thoughts on this? What all come off to install one of these things that I would need to replace with stock?
View 14 RepliesMy bumper is moving when my ex isn't parked on flat ground. Almost like the frame is twisting. Enough that it shifted up and cracked my grill. What could be going on? I didn't snap a pic but I'll try to get one. Get back on flat ground and it relaxes back to where it should be, flat and level.
View 6 RepliesMy RC-F has like 8k miles on the odo. I first noticed it at around 6K miles and I thought my RC-F had picked up some "small pieces of wet tissues or some white paint from road construction". But upon closer examination it is the black paint across the black bumper behind the massive grill peeling the black paint thereby revealing its original white paint.
My front end looks like a Dalmatians dog with black and white spots.
I did not hit anything. Dealer is fixing it under warranty. So will wait and see.
Picture attached..........
My plastic grill (the formerly black plastic piece) is now a faded light grey. I was thinking about painting it with semi gloss black.
I was thinking about just taping off the chrome edges and the blue oval in the center and painting it in place.
Is there an easy How To write up on how to remove the front grill? I want to install some grill inserts I picked up.
View 7 RepliesI am having trouble finding the correct part number for the Ford emblem that goes on the front grill on an 09 F150 lariat crew cab. My father in law asked me to order one since his is faded badly. What is the correct part number?
View 1 RepliesHow do you remove the front grill? I'm changing the bulbs in my headlights, and I know it's stupidly simple just can't remember how to do it.
View 1 RepliesI have a newbie question on how to remove the rear bumper? Do I disconnect the sensors first or remove the bumper and disconnect the sensors.
I read this thread : [URL] .....
But was not sure which bolt to remove? Is it all 4 on each side or 2 toward the rear of the bumper?
Just like our fleet of 06' F-150's, my emblem on my 2011 F250 is starting to peel and bubble up on the front grill. Every 06' had their rear and front emblems replaced close to 3 times until we just gave up and lived with it. I thought Ford fixed this problem? Going to the dealer tomorrow to get a warranty repair.
View 14 RepliesJust bought a new grill and I was trying to take off the original one but idk where the other bolts are apart from the 4 on top.
View 11 RepliesMolding the engine block heater cord into the bumper some how or is a product out there like the 7 pin trailer harness to do it?
View 5 RepliesI got the new ones, (as mentioned in another thread) and they're the same as the old ones. Well, the one that's still in one piece.
I guess I'm missing something very simple, but as easy as it would be to cut the old one out...how do I make room between the lower leaf and the other leaf pack to get it out?
I about hung from the lower leaf and it didn't move quite enough to give the room to remove the bumper.
I want to place my navi antenna under the front speaker grill. How to get it pop up?
View 5 RepliesMy Excursion had a mangled rear bumper when I bought it recently. I just bought a salvage one to replace it. I had it installed today. I want to salvage the backup sensors in the old bumper along with the license plate lights. How do these come out? They seem locked in there to me.
View 3 RepliesI'm planning on buying the chrome grill for my 2006 and I want all the front to be chrome.
View 9 RepliesGot back from a three hundred mile trip and after washing the car I noticed that the chrome wrap on my 450h 2013 front grill is bubbling up? The last month temperatures have been around 10 degrees but no snow. Will take to dealer next time in Spokane. But would like to know how to prevent this in the future.
