View 6 RepliesWhat the use for the flat plate behind the second row bench seat? The velco pieces are not holding this thing up anymore, is there a way to fix this or can I take it off and thow in the trash...
View 1 Repliesok normally im very good at this stuff, but i just dont want to break anything (already broke 3 of those little "push" pin things that hold the plastic cover/trim pieces over the front bolts)
how do i get those out without breaking them, and the bolts towards the back of the bench seat, i dont even see where they are! i know there are 12 total. trying to remove to replace my carpet
I was wondering if the 2nd row bucket seats in a 2003 ex can be replaced with a bench seat. are the brackets in the same location?
View 12 RepliesWhat model year(s) 2nd row bench seats that have a factory LATCH system will fit in a 2002 Ford Excursion to replace the seat that is missing the anchors that are between seat bottom and seat back?
View 14 RepliesI have a 2001 F250 crew cab, it currently has bench seats with the center console missing. Can I put a 40-20-40 split bench seat out of a 2012 f250 in my truck? And if so how much modification will need to be done?
View 1 RepliesHow to remove the headrests on the rear seat in the supercab?
View 6 RepliesJust bought my first 04 F250 super duty Xl...4x4 Ext Cab...need to get this bench seat out and buckets and console in!!! I hear this is easy swap but never done before, or believe anything is easy.
View 1 RepliesGot an 03 f250 supercab, and looking to get rid of the old front bench seat for 2 regular front seats and installing a big middle console, will this be kinda hard? I got in my truck now the driver seat is seperate from the 2 seater bench seat and it has the flip down middle console to where you can flip it up for somebody to sit in the middle or flip it down for the cup holders etc.. I want to get rid of that and just have the 2 front seats and an big middle console. I think some of the 1998-2003 f150 come with this set up
View 3 RepliesI have seen plenty of the king ranch models that have the rear Captains chairs. My question is, I have a 03 Lariat Crew Cab w/ a bench seat, however, I would like to remove the bench and put 2 captains chairs in the back. Is this possible without lots of interior body modifications?
View 14 RepliesJust noticed this today. Carpet behind driver side (US model, 07, 150k miles) is wet! Does not smell dormant, and seems "soapy." Did not have rain, car is garage kept, windows never left open, did not go through car wash recently whereby water would have seeped in, have not had rain, nor have driven through rain recently.
View 7 RepliesI installed seat covers which required removing my entire rear bench cushion. Now I can't get it to snap back into place. It's the 2 inserts beneath and in front of where each passenger's crotch would be that are causing the trouble.
To release said snaps, I had to pull up with a lot of force, so I figured to snap them back in, I could just slam my knee down right above but no dice -and I made full use of my 163 lbs and gravity multiple times.
So rolling down I29 and its cold and the wind is howling. Rear tire goes out sidewall blow. Thinking load rating of C is not enough for the EX?
Anyways not a big deal cause I'm smart! I checked my spare and all the stuff I need to change it cause i'm prepared. Go to put the tire iron on that I removed from under the hood perfect fit too. Guess what, it is way to small for the lugs. Luckily I had earned some karma points the day before working for a guy with a 02 F250 7.3 who's alternator died. A guy in a suburban stopped and his wrench was close enough to crack the nuts.
So after searching and not finding much my two questions are. Any replacement for the factory tire iron that bolts under the hood? Is there another vehicle other then an Ex I can take it from? I like the idea of it being there bolted down under the hood.
What load rating is everyone running and or recommends. I noticed my spare was an F lol which is far from C. My EX is 7.3 and She was loaded heavy with black friday goods.
The leather on my steering wheel is showing a lot of wear so I will be needing a new one soon. I was curious if the new F250 steering wheels would fit a 2005 EX? I like the style of 2009, 2010 & 2011 much better that the stock wheel in 2005.
View 14 RepliesI like the 05 - 07 F 250 Instrument Cluster better than our stock excursion's. It is just plug and play or is it much more complicated.
View 6 RepliesI am looking to replace the audio-AC/Cruise switches on my 04 Excursion. I am having a hard time trying to determine if I need to remove the steering wheel. I have found posts for other Ford vehicles, but not the excursion or F250 with the larger switches.
View 4 RepliesWith winter in full effect what kind of mpg do you get on your rig while the 4wd is engaged? I'm getting 9 to 10 with 11-12 in 2wd in cold weather and 13 to 14 in warm weather 2wd
View 14 RepliesI bought 3 new keys for my X and can't get them to program right. I've found a few different sets of instructions and tried them all and nothing
View 2 RepliesYes, I have read the Vibration sticky. I am hoping for the experience of the group as well. Last summer on a road trip I had a horrible vibration at speeds of 70 or so. I had the tires re-balanced and it really worked.
I now have a vibration at 60 to 65 very constant at that speed. Has me thinking speed sensitive, but it also increases when breaking through that range, speeding up through that range and coasting. Based on the chart I'm looking at speed sensitive but also torque sensitive.
Should I try to rebalance first?
2000 V10 X vibrates from 40-55MPH when OD is on. When OD is off, significantly less vibration - very minor between 40-50MPH. Bad OSS?
I had codes for misfires on #4 and #8. I replace the spark plugs and coil packs on all 10 cylinders and codes changed to P0354/P0358 - primary/secondary circuit. Wondering if that is contributing to it.
I did the full reset process on the PCM. Codes cleared throughout the entire process. But once I stopped and restarted truck, codes came back.
My thinking is to get a replacement PCM first. I haven't done a lot looking over the wires to #4,8 coil packs. cursory look they seem to be fine.
Friends Is it possible to convert 2wd X to 4wd? How hard it's going to be?
My X is 2000 v10 4wd limited with 160k hard miles. And the new X is 2004 v10 2wd limited with 30k miles...
My plan is swap all the goodies from the 2000 to the almost new 2004.. How big is the fabrication work ???
