Ford Excursion :: 2004 - Emissions Light Popped On

I've got a 2004 6.8L Excursion (about 124k mileage). Was gassed up yesterday, today the emissions light popped on. I checked the fuel cap and it was on tight. Any other easy things to check before I head down to Advanced Auto to see if they can pop it on the diagnostic machine?

Passat (B5) :: CEL Came On And Emissions Workshop Message Popped Up

I bought a 2000 Passat GLS w/ the V6 a couple weeks ago, and the very next day after buying it, the CEL came on and something popped on saying Emissions Workshop. I waited a couple weeks to see if it would turn off, but it didn't so I took it to a mechanic.

The first time, they just said a couple codes were off so they reset the computer. About 20 miles later, the lights came back on. I took it back and they hooked it up to their computer again.

They said the o2 sensors were perfect, and it was most likely some sort of resistance in one of my cats. The car runs absolutely perfect. I just wanted to get some feedback from ya'll because I do not want to pay the money to have a cat replaced if I don't have to.

Accent RB (2012+) :: CEL Popped On - Emissions / Evap Control Valve Leaking Above The Fuel Tank

Check engine light popped on (first time ever) at 76,000 miles. Had my brother read the code with this engine diagnostic tool and it said "Fuel Cap". No big deal...

Take it to Hyundai, nope, not fuel cap... it's an Emissions/Evap control valve leaking above the fuel tank somewhere.

Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: Emissions Light Blinking At Certain Speeds

Having problems with a blinking emissions light at certain speeds? I have a 2006 F150 with the 5.4L engine with 132,000 miles on it and have had a problem with the emissions light coming on when I reach a speed of 80 mph. The pickup will drive fine up unto this speed but when it reaches 78-82 mph the pickup will start shake/rattle and the emissions light will blink on and off repeatedly until you reduce your speed to around 60 mph and then the light will turn off completely.

We took the pickup into the local Ford dealer for them to look at it. After they took a look they couldn't pull a code because there is no light that comes on until the higher speed. They told me that this was due to a bad tank of gas and this happens to prevent damage to the catalytic converter. They said it would be better once that fuel burned off. Well two full tank fills later the same problem persists. Just wondering, what course of action they took to fix it.

So I took my truck to get inspected/emissions done... And the emissions not ready message came back. What in the.... He said maybe put 100 miles or so on it from when I replaced the battery. Is that the answer? I've never seen such a thing.

Ford Excursion :: Rear Defroster Tab Has Popped Off The Window

So the rear defroster tab has popped off the window. I purchased this kit from O'Reillys but when I clipped the wire back onto the tab it popped the tab right back off. I even waited 48 hours instead of 24 so it had plenty of time to set, even with the cooler temperatures. Okay, so I forgot about it until I took the stroller out and noticed the trim laying in the back of the X... but still, plenty of time to bond well. I'm thinking of calling a glass shop & seeing what they'll charge to reattach.

Lexus RX 2004-09 :: Check Engine Light Popped Up On RX350

My 2007 RX350 popped the check engine light. Stopped at an auto parts store and read the codes. They were:

P0300 P0301 P0302 P0303 P0304 P0305 P0306

C0215 C1201 C01223

U0073 UI0123 U0124 U0125

I am most concerned with the P03xx codes. Could this be one common part? I'm on the road about 1500 miles from home.

Ford Excursion :: Started Spattering And P1280 Code Popped Up?

I did a CCV MOD and washed the engine with simple green and a garden hose yesterday, started the truck and it was running fine for about 10 min. After that it started spattering and a P1280 code poped up. Is it related to a wash or ccv? It does not stoll but idles bad, drives fine once i get it over about 5mph.

I own a 2005 prius. It is stock and i recently had the check engine light pop up as well as "problem" when car was started and 2 lights with exclamation point, one on a car and ones in lil brackets. I believe it is called a "hybrid malfunction light". Well one day they all pop up and about 3 days later theyre gone. Only thing i did was fill up the tank, when they came on only 1 bar was left on the tank. Ford - Escort - Code :: 1443 - Service Engine Soon Light Popped Up

Last year my car popped up with the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light. I am cheap so I went out and bought a code reader- code 1443 came up. Online I found this information: 1443-Evaporative Emission Control System - Vacuum System - Purge Control Solenoid or Purge Control Valve fault. I bought something from Ford for $81, erased the code and it came back on a week later. I just kept erasing it. It quit coming back on in November so I figured the bulb had burned out but the Light came on when I started the car. So I just ignored it. Now that the weather has warmed up again the light comes back on with the same code. Other question. Are there any modern cars that are as easy to work on as, say, a 68 Falcon? Or even a 74 Pinto? I don't expect real ease I just want to be able to stick my hand in the engine compartment with a blood sacrifice.

Ford Escape / Hybrid :: 2004 XLT - CEL Popped Up For P0136 / O2 Sensor Code

2004 XLT 3.0L 141K

I just bought the truck on Monday, the CEL popped up on Tues. It shows code 0136. No other codes. CAT "not ready" on scan tool

A google search proved this is a common topic that for some owners is a repeating and cronic sort of issue. What I've read online is that there is an assortment of things that can cause this O2 sensor to throw this code:

Actual bad O2 sensor
Faulty wiring or connection
Misfire throwing mix off
bad convertor

I don't believe this list covers all the accounts I read but these I have were definitely repeat offenders. My intention is to take to a dealer and let them have first crack at sorting it out. I'm handy enough but I see this as something where an unseen detail can drive ya crazy.

Passat (B5) :: Emissions Light Coming On When Start The Car

So im new to this form and i have many questions about my car. I have a 2000 Passat 1.8 20v Turbo and my emissions light keeps coming on as soon as i start the car and start driving. there are two codes that came up when my buddy scanned it. ones P1128 and the other is P0411 Sec. Air Injection Incorrct flow. Also my sunroof only opens up it doesnt slid back can this be fixed?

Touareg :: Emissions Warning Light Turning On And Off

This light went on after i was about 1/2 way though a tank of gas. After i refilled it the sensor went off. This occurred on and off for about 2 weeks. Now the light has stayed on for a few days, than turned off for a few hours. Well now its back on again, any issues with this sensor? I think its just the sensor and hope its not something major. It stays light the entire time and does not flash.

Passat (B5) :: Emissions Workshop Light Staying On

My emissions workshop light is staying on now in my passat. I don't have a Vag-Com cable for my laptop yet so I scanned for codes with the generic code scanner at Advance Auto. It came up with something about the downstream 02's low voltage or something close to that. It has just over 100k on it now... is this a common issue with these cars? Is it usually the o2's that are the culprit or is it usually a Cat problem? I replaced the PCV hoses (those crappy wire loom looking pieces that fall apart under the engine covers) with much nicer fuel hose and barb fittings thinking that they might have been the culprit, but that was before I scanned it, it obviously didn't work. 2000 LX 4-Motion...

Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: 2007 - Truck Bogged Down And Died / Low Oil Pressure Popped Up

I own a 2007 Lariat F150 with the 5.4 4x4. It has 96000 miles.

That being said. The other day I was driving and went through a pretty big mud hole on a county road (couldn't go around it). Following, very shortly, my truck bogged down and died. "Low Oil Pressure" popped up. I let it sit for a minute, and checked underneath to make sure that I hadn't popped a line or ripped something. I hadn't.

I start the truck up again, and started driving no issues, for about 3/4 of a mile, and again it died, and "LOP". So I let it sit for about 15 minutes, thinking about why it would have that pop up. Couldn't figure out anything. Started again. and had a really rough idle in between the 500-1500 RPM range.

I decided to change out the oil when I got home. I put in some 15-40, hoping that would solve the issue.

It hasn't still idles really rough, but won't shut down anymore. I didn't try driving it though because I was afraid it would die again.

I'm not sure if the spark plugs are bad, I don't think they've ever been changed (I know it's bad). I'm pretty sure that it's not a vacuum leak, but not 100%. I need this truck to run.
