I have a 03 Eddie Bauer PSD and I'm looking for wiring diagrams online. Specifically for the lighting systems. I bought a set of OEM telescoping, heated mirrors with turn signal and running lights and the running lights do not work. Appears that 03 may not have supported this but I see other rigs with the same mirrors and the running lights working.

I have an early 99 F250 that I'm putting 08+ mirrors on. I'm not real sure what year they are, but no wiring diagrams I can find match up. See, my mirrors have 12 wires. All diagrams I find have 10. The colors don't match either. I wanna wire these up but I can't decipher the wiring.

I know the door harness and therefore the dash harnesses will be somewhat different. I'd like to see if there is a difference in the other ends where they connect to under the dash.
Looking for the wiring diagrams for those components so I can see what else I need to change?

Looking to replace the on-board 4-way flashing system with Whelen strobes and looking to have the column mounted button be the on/off switch for that power supply. I have a schematic from a '97 E250 (almost identical FWIW) which I can post the pin out, test procedure and EVTM version of the hazard portion of that Multi Function Switch if that's useful.
I know it would be far, far less complicated to control the Whelen via a separate switch but this above reversible mod would be somewhat cool IMHO.

I purchased a haynes repair manual from Auto Zone yesterday but the diagram seems very generic and the colors are wrong for the O2 sensor for example. Right now my truck is in "Limp mode" Fuse is blown and I am trying to find out what all is on that particular circuit its Fuse 23 and the haynes manual says fuse 24 which my truck doesn't even have a 24.
View 1 RepliesI plan on moving the engine/drivetrain from my 1986 F350 460 to my 1996 F250. I also want to move over the 1986's ignition system with a Duraspark 2 setup.
Although I could just cut in the easiest places to remove the wiring for later reuse I am looking for where to make the cuts, what to take and what to scrap. Alternatively I am also asking if there are aftermarket or OEM replacement sets out there are aren't a ton of money. The current harness in the 1986 has been sprayed with engine oil and cooked for 27 years so I am looking at alternative options if there are any.
I have a new to me 1999 F250 with the 7.3 engine. The previous owner installed a push button start to get around the ignition actuator being broke. Over the weekend I pulled the column and replaced the actuator but the truck will still not start with the key; with the push button it starts just fine. I'm not getting any power on the starter relay signal wire, so I suspect something in between the key and starter relay. I searched around a bit, but could not find a wiring diagram for a 1999 diesel super duty.
View 3 RepliesJust picked up my car from the VW Centre, I had the Wiring Harness for Trunk Lid replaced. Now the lights within the the boot and the light in the Trunk Close button are not working.
Could this be a fuse? if so which one, left my manual in UK and I am abroad at the moment. Or could this mean a mistake has been made whilst installing the new wiring?

View 6 RepliesI have a newly remanufactured Holley 1835 carb which has had an electric choke added to it. My '59 F-100 has the original electrical system in place. Where would you recommend running the positive and negative wires from the choke? No instructions came with the carb.

View 7 RepliesI have a 77 ford truck with a 351 ,the ignition system keeps shorting out, killing spark. If i replace the starter solenoid, it works for a while, then goes out again. I have replaced 4 solenoids this month. What could be shorting the solenoid out? Had the truck for 8 yrs. now, never had a problem with it till now. It has a mallory dist. it was in when i bought it.
View 7 RepliesI removed the rear radio controller from the back of the console and installed a power inverter in its place. It fit great and everything went smoothly. I should have known it was too easy... I now have no sound coming out of the rear speakers. I assume there is a way to jump the wires to allow the speakers to work, but I'd need a wiring diagram. Right now I have the controller hooked up and buried in the console, which I guess is fine. It's just annoying.
View 10 RepliesI have a 2005 6.0L Excursion. I'd like to do the high idle mod. From looking in the tech folder there are two options.. Option #1 being for 2003-2004 trucks and Option #2 being for 2005+ trucks. The assumption for Option #2 is that there is wiring from the factory for the upfitter switches. My engine build is a 2004 and I could not find any evidence of the orange upfitter wires so I proceeded with Option #1.
I find wire 294 (white/light blue strip) with no problem.. What I can't seem to find is wire 322 (light blue/yellow strip). I can find the 4 dummy (extra) wires to the engine compartment (Red, White, Blue, Black solids) yet I only find 3 blunt cut wires capped with tape... The colors on those are white/orange strip, light green/white strip and yellow/white strip - no sign of the light blue/yellow strip wire.
Is there something unique about the 2005 Excursions?
Bought a Powermaster 250amp alternator for my '05 V10. Says I need to upgrade my power and ground wires to 4 gauge with fuse on power cable. I don't really run too many accessories other than HID heads and fogs and 2 DVD screens for the boys.
Do do I really need to upgrade my wiring? Can't imagine I'm pulling much more amperage than stock (130amp on my truck).
Working on the dang ram 3500... I am needing to add a relay, however, i need to strap the coil of it with a diode to protect the frigging cluster (the new dodges aren't very mod friendly!). My question is, should I add a second diode before the relay to protect the cluster against back emf, or will the one strapped across the relay coil be enough?
Since I am sure you're curious now, the cargo light (light that lights up the bed) gets its power from the gauge cluster of all places. I need to add a relay to the cargo light circuit to drive some other lights, and I am worried the back emf from the relay coil will fry the cluster circuitry.
