Recently I noticed some water on passenger side floor (not antifreeze ). I am suspecting of a clogged A/C drain hose. What is the location of drain hose and how to do the task .

View 3 Replies'06 4x4 SCREW 67k miles -> I removed my passenger front floor mat last night to discover the carpet was wet. So, I assume it is coming from a stopped up A/C condensate drain. Have not searched for it yet, but where the drain line is routed? I was figuring on trying to blow it out with some compressed air.

View 1 RepliesPassenger floor under the mat being incredibly wet. I believe that mine can be traced to the A/C Condensate.
1) Passenger side only
2) Doesn't smell like coolant
3) Hasn't rained here in quite a while and yet the floor was still soaked
Yesterday I set out to try and find a way to get this fixed. I tried clearing out the output on the firewall, I didn't check how hard air was flowing here before but after sending some pipe cleaners down there and starting the car with A/C on and the blower on high there was a considerable amount of air coming out of this "drain". I left the truck sitting for a while with the a/c on and didn't notice any water draining down into the passenger side, how rapidly will this happen? If left to sit while running is it possible to actually watch this start to drain inside or....?
a/c condensate line appears to be backing up into the foot well of the front passenger. Leaves huge puddle. Wife is going to kill me. Checked drain valve and no blockage. Foam around the top of evaporator drain guide was wet. Why don't they use tubing for the drain instead of the guide??
View 1 RepliesA couple of times a year, I get a foul smell out of the vents when I start the vehicle. If I roll the windows down, the odor goes away after a minute or two. I have changed the cabin filter twice now, as I drive quite a bit.
I have deduced that the condensate does not drip while the vehicle is turned off. I have tried multiple ways to get it to drip while off (i.e. circulated vs. fresh air when before vehicle turned off). I (as many people in the world) park in an inclined driveway. I have tried backing in so that the front of the vehicle is in a declined position.
In all instances, condensate does not drip from the evaporator while off. I can let the vehicle sit for hours and check my driveway prior to starting. It will be bone dry under the vehicle. If I start the vehicle, I will have a puddle about 10-12 inches in diameter within 30 seconds of starting the vehicle.
What the approx current drain on the battery in an over night situation. Mine now is approx 340 mA and need to confirm this as correct!

View 3 RepliesTrying to locate my a/c drain tube on my super duty. Noticed the other day no water draining with the a/c running. Wanna check to make sure the tube is not clogged.
View 14 RepliesHave an 02 explorer 4.0. Been having to add about a quart of coolant a month. Took it to the shop and they replaced the thermostat. Now water flows through the motor and comes out of the oil drain plug as fast as I put it in the radiator, the radiator never fills to the top. What could of possibly happened to cause this?
View 11 RepliesI am currently in a gas station parking lot sitting in my truck on top of a puddle of trans fluid because my u joint caps came off goin 80 down the highway. When i pulled over i noticed the transmission was leaking. I put putted along goin about 5 miles an hour trying to keep the vibrations to a minimum till i came across the next gas station. After further inspection, of course, i saw the caps off of the u joints, but i notice a leak that seens to be coming from my drain pan, like the gasket isnt sealing off. Ive been sitting here for about 2 hours waiting on the tow truck and have made a puddle about 4-5 wide. Why I am losing trans fluid. I don't understand what the u joints busting out has to do with the transmission.
View 9 RepliesI have a 92 crown vic. And this past weekend I tried to do a oil change but the drain plug was really tight. So I took it to an oil place to see after I messed with it for over two hours. They did get it out half way, but had to put it back in. They suggested that the drain plug or the the pan is stripped, I even tried to use a cheap siphon hose that goes down through the dipstick and it wouldn't go all the way down. So is there another way I can drain my oil without messing up my oil pan and drain plug?
View 2 RepliesI have a problem with battery drain with my 2013 F150 with ecoboost engine. If the truck is not used for two or three days it turns over very slowly or not at all. Charged the battery then drove it. I have checked the drain with all off and it seems to be 210 milliamps, then after about 10 or so minutes the drain drops to about 20mA. What the drain should be when vehicle is off for several minutes?
View 8 RepliesMy blower motor runs with the key out on all speeds in my excursion. Replaced blower relay in hood fuse box. NO FIX. As I move climate selector to off and turn key to acc. and off it will turn off the blower. If I turn the selector to any position such as vent or heat with the key out, blower runs thus drains the battery. Do I have to replace the whole climate pod?
View 8 RepliesFord Escape 6 cylinder - 100,00 miles. want to flush and change the coolant. Cannot unscrew the engine block drain plug using a 14 mm allen hex bit. Afraid of damaging the block, maybe cracking it. I tried turning the plug with my 1/2" torque wrench up to 130 ft. lbs. torque and it would not budge. Am afraid to use more or to put a cheater on the torque wrench. If something goes wrong the engine becomes scrap. What's the solution?
View 1 RepliesI have a 85 e-250 351 4 barrel with two tanks. My tank selector switch was bad, and I have no clue how long the gas has been in my front tank, but it is very bad. I have tried to siphon it out, but for some reason it wouldn't start flowing, and I tried to drain it from behind the fuel tank selector valve, but it wouldn't flow. I figure i need to pump it out, so my question is what is the best method to pump out 25 gallons of bad gas?
View 8 RepliesI'm waiting on Christmas shopping to be over to replace the ICP and IPR on my '01 F250. In the mean time I have been going out every few days to crank it and let it run up to temp. Now, however, my batteries have slowly been getting drained over the past month, to where it finally wouldn't crank yesterday. So I'm wondering if I now have a drain somewhere, or is running it at idle for about 20 mins just not sufficient.

Have had my Excursion for a few weeks now. Took it to the dealer for some maintenance on the brakes. Had them do oil and fuel filters while it was there. Dealer calls to tell me that the water drain valve had broken off when they tried to drain water and the needed to replace the housing. Picked it up today and this is what they found when they pulled off that assembly...
View 11 RepliesI'm getting pretty comfortable with these forums now. Not sure if this is in the right section, but even if it was, I'm not sure how to find the right one. I recently purchased Bullet Proof Diesel's Air-to-Oil oil cooler along with the BPD oil filtration. I've already drained the oil, but do I need to drain the coolant as well? I have read of people doing a complete flush before even installing a new oil cooler (OEM oil cooler). That way once it is installed, it doesn't have all the grit and sand pumping through it right off the bat. But does it matter with BPD's system? Should I go ahead and drain the coolant completely before beginning this job?
