Ford A/C :: 2016 F250 - No Cooling - Air Temps Seem To Vary While On Max Setting?

Jul 22, 2016

I have a 2016 f250 bought in December with an ac problem. The temperature in ky has heated up the last month and the ac has not been able to keep up. The fan seems to work properly but, the air temps seem to vary while on the same setting(max). The problem also varies from nonexistent to mildly bad to horrible. The ford dealer found low side pressure at 60psi and the high side at 300 psi. At idle. Evac and recharge and test. Within a day or two, same problem. A week later at the dealer. Low side 50. High side 275. Found and replaced sticking expansion valve. Road tested and passed. Again within a day or two same thing. Yesterday it was 100 outside and the vent temp was 65-70 degrees. Today at home I ran the ac 4 or 5 times and is was cooling around 45-48 degrees. The outside temp was not as hot today as yesterday. The truck is the lower trim lariat with the dual zone ac. It does not have the voice command. The service advisor was going to consult with the service manager and discuss what to do and to discuss opening what he called a "hot line" to ford. This truck is rapidly getting too much shop time for a new truck.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2002 F250 Will Not Start In Below Freezing Temps At Random

I have an 02 250 5.4. 103,000 miles. My truck at random times will not start in below freezing temps. Turns over just fine but Acts as if a frozen fuel line. I can get it running by pouring hot water on the fuel rail or a shot of starting fluid or sometimes both. It's been going on about 3 or 4 weeks now and I have ran through 4 bottles of dry gas with about 15 gallons each time. Also have replaced fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator. I'm 99.9% positive the pump is working and there are no leaks in the lines or holes in tank that I can see. My next step is to drop the tank and clean it out but trying to avoid that.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2003 F250 - Cooling Fan Is Coming On Quite Often

I have noticed that the cooling fan is coming on quite often lately. The first I noticed was yesterday when I was towing our boat up to the lake. However, this didn't really concern me because there is an almost 3,000-foot elevation gain from town to the lake, and it was around 90 degrees outside. But, when we got back into town, it seemed to be on often, and sometimes even when the truck is unloaded. Does the fan come on to assist with radiator cooling, or is it primarily for the AC? It's a 2003 F250 with a 7.3. It also comes on most of the time when I first start the truck.

I am scared. The cooling fluid of my 2000 F-250 is brownish. I am not sure if it is Oil, which would be bad. Is there a way that I can find out what it is? I'd like to get an opinion of my own before I take it to a repair shop.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Cooling Fan Won't Work On The Low Setting?

I have a 00 Jetta 2.0 AEG engine code and my cooling fans don't seem to be kicking on the low setting. I have changed out my FCM and have also checked the fans to see if they were burnt out and both fans work on both low and high settings. This is also causing my car to overheat but the high speed will kick on when the temp gets too high.

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2007 F250 - Max Oil And Coolant Temps?

I have a 2007 F250 with the 6.0. Towing up a long hill my truck went into limp mode. I didn't have gauges at the time so I didn't know what my temps were. I now have gauges. I know that the coolant and Oil temps should not be more than 10-15* apart, but what is the max temp that oil should EVER get towing up a steep and long hill? Also, what is the max temp that coolant should EVER get towing up a steep and long hill?

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Transmission Temps Low 196?

quick question about tranny Temps. My truck is a 16 F250 CCSB 4x4 6.2. I just moved to North Carolina from Florida. It is 100+ degrees every day and my transmission maintains a range from 196 to 203. I know that is perfectly normal.

We were driving around NC yesterday (unloaded) and the Temps outside were in the high 60's. We were in the truck for a total of 2 hours so everything was up to temp. My transmission was ranging from 190-199. I thought the transmission thermostat keeps the tranny at least 196.

So my question for the cooler weather guys...is it normal for your tranny to get as low as 190 during normal operating temps?

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2008 - High Oil Temps / Cooler Is Fully Or Partially Clogged

2008 6.4L .... My ECT 191-197 and EOT 220-230 high side on interstate no load on truck air temp 70 degrees. Is this a sign thermostat failing. Is there a certain temp to determine if your cooler is fully clogged or just partially clogged? I plan on doing a flush with restore then restore plus. Is there any point in using restore with temps this high. Or do I have to break down and buy the half kit to bypass OEM oil cooler? I need this fixed ASAP hauling the RZR to arkansas in a week. I know ill mess something up if i try to pull a load with those temps.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Cab Fan Only Turns On When On High Setting

I've got a 2006 SD Lariat, 6.0. The fan only comes on when turned to high. The display moves when the fan speed button is pressed, but nothing from the fan until high. I don't really know anything about the operation of these things, whether they run on a vacuum, or electric, or??? I'm not sure where to start with it.

Prius (2010-12) :: How To Deplete Battery If It Is Only Allowed To Vary Between 60 And 80%

On the battery level gauge, it generally varies between two bars on the graph up to one bar from the top. I've read that this variance indicates 60% charge at the two bars and 80% charge at the one bar from the top position. So the battery is only depleted to 60%, then the ICE comes on and charges the battery. My confusion comes from several posts that say it's bad to deplete the battery and I agree that it's bad, but how do you deplete the battery if it is only allowed to vary between 60 and 80%?

Chevrolet :: 1985 - Cruise Engages But Vary The Speed Up And Down

I have owned this 85 Chevy Van all its life and when I take it on trips I like to use the cruise control. The last few years the cruise engages and works except that it seems to hunt or vary the speed up and down a couple of miles an hour. I replaced the servo figuring that it was just old and leaking vacuum. Well the new one behaved exactly the same. So what else is there? The electronics module? I have looked everywhere under the hood and under the dash with no luck. Manuals don't even include the cruise system. What is the location of the module?

1990 Cherokee 4.0 ... Well I've got a minor clunking somewhere under there that seems to vary with speed. now I have to figure out what it is. my working theories are wheel bearing, or one of the three hundred odd universals under there. perhaps a brake shoe or the transfer case. This is my first 4wd, so I don't know about transfer cases.... there is also some kind of weird double universal under there, I can t remember the name off the top of my head.

When I select plain a/c it makes less noise but blows more air out of the vents. What is wrong and how to go about fixing it is 93 here today and won't get much cooler over the summer months .

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Addition Of Pusher Fan To Cooling System?

My 99 super duty crew cab A/C does not cool the inside of the truck very well when sitting in stop and go traffic like I always do, in south Louisiana. I recently rebuilt the whole a/c system and it works great when I start rolling. I think my fan clutch is working correctly. I have been thinking about a way to convert to electric fans and take that huge weight off the water pump snout but I haven't found a way to do it, that I like. I was wondering for info to install a pusher fan in front of their a/c condenser that comes on with the a/c system. I would imagine it causing any problems while driving, seeing as a bunch of cars have pusher fans and I could only think it would support the cooling system.
