Got a 2002 7.3 f550 and the other morning it wouldn't go into high idle. Noticed my parking brake light was off. Messed with the switch and eventually jumped straight from the connector to ground... still no light. The light does illuminate with key on. I have tested the fuses. Where do I go from here? Looking for a wiring diagram....
View 14 RepliesI can't find a wiring diagram for the UVCH pigtail anywhere. The one that came with the harness assumes the old one was still connected. My wires were burned through and I need to know what colors to wire in from the truck to the new harness so everything matches up.
View 9 RepliesI am looking at putting a couple small LEDs in the pinch weld area under the doors on the cab. I want to have them come on when I open up a door. Where is the best place to grab power from the door switch circuit for that? The passenger side I was thinking of grabbing it where it goes into the sleeve between the cab and the door, but on the drivers side there are a lot of things in the way to get to that point. Can I pick it up down in the door jamb area? Is there a wire going to the dome light there?

View 14 RepliesI have a new to me 1999 F250 with the 7.3 engine. The previous owner installed a push button start to get around the ignition actuator being broke. Over the weekend I pulled the column and replaced the actuator but the truck will still not start with the key; with the push button it starts just fine. I'm not getting any power on the starter relay signal wire, so I suspect something in between the key and starter relay. I searched around a bit, but could not find a wiring diagram for a 1999 diesel super duty.

View 9 RepliesI just had a remote start installed with a turbo timer that works off of the parking brake being engaged. No matter how hard I press it the light does not go on, however when the installer probed the sensor to ground it, it worked fine.What part this is that needs to be replaced. The stealership quoted me at 200 something for a whole parking brake assembly.

View 9 RepliesI just bought a 2000 Excursion limited v10 4x4. I'm going camping this weekend so trying to install my brake controller. I found the plug but noticed these wires dangling. I can't see the back of the harness. I'm afraid the PO may have cut them to install a universal harness. How to recognize them? I don't want to buy a ford specific harness if the wiring has been cut.

I actually think it is obd 1 on our trucks but you get the idea. My truck doesn't have power to the plug I guess. I have a guy plug in a scanner to take a look at everything but he said the plug wouldn't power up his scanner. Just trying to get this fixed. Another question, if I buy a AE does that require the truck to power up the software or does it get powered my the laptop?
View 11 Replies2013 F350 Lariat with the factory OEM rear view camera. I am replacing the tailgate with a 5th wheel tailgate for a few months and would like to still retain the convince of a rear view camera.
I have obtained a Ford camera harness to use as a jumper for a non OEM camera which comes with the standard basic RCA wiring which I plan to mount to the bottom of the 5th wheel tailgate.
My hope is to wire the camera direct to the Ford wire harness which is a 6 wire pigtail. Which wires on the camera mate to which wire on the trucks wire harness.
I need to connect a remote start stop for a bucket truck attachment to this new 2016 F550. Found everything except the ignition wiring harness diagram. Need to know what I can tie in to.
View 4 RepliesI just picked up my 2007 F350 as a replacement for my 2003 F350 (still have the 2003). I really like the uplifter switch option on the truck, I can normally figure things out but I am one of those people who is electrically challenged (home and auto)and also am one who does not wish to butcher the new ride (same for the home)to gain an education in the art of wiring. I would like to reinstall my headache rack lights on this truck as they are needed for winter work. I was in my truck manual and the info for wiring is weak and the website did not respond nor did my email to ford. I have found the wire harness but it is not tagged as a pair/color to switch. I have the lights already grounded to the rack, so I am thinking I just need the hot wire from the switch. Looking for the color code for positive and ground for the switches.
