View 7 RepliesHow do you remove the front grill? I'm changing the bulbs in my headlights, and I know it's stupidly simple just can't remember how to do it.
View 1 RepliesJust like our fleet of 06' F-150's, my emblem on my 2011 F250 is starting to peel and bubble up on the front grill. Every 06' had their rear and front emblems replaced close to 3 times until we just gave up and lived with it. I thought Ford fixed this problem? Going to the dealer tomorrow to get a warranty repair.

View 4 RepliesI need to replace the center mesh grill on the front bumper. Is there anything I need to be careful with or watch out for. when I pull on the old grill or when I push the new one back into place? Does it come out easily or is it tricky?
View 4 RepliesI'm replacing my water pump and was wondering how to remove this.
View 3 RepliesAfter all this time there's only a couple things about my 2012 6.7 I don't like, and one of them is the DEF system. I like the lack of smoke, and I REALLY like my warranty, but I don't like the acrid DEF exhaust smell and I don't like the amount of DEF fluid I'm going through.
So, looking for a kit to remove the DEF system but leave the truck otherwise untouched? I'd like to keep the DPF and not have to tune the truck, just eliminate the DEF and smell diesel fumes again.
I'm guessing this is a long shot given the amount of computer control of every aspect of the truck, but figured I'd ask anyway...
How do you remove the chrome piece around the cup holders? I want to plasti-dip it so it quits shining in my eyes.
View 6 RepliesI've been searching for instructions/procedure on how to remove the instrument cluster on my 2006 6.0 Superduty. My odometer has been showing the classic signs of a cold solder joint, cutting in and out constantly. It's been doing this for a couple of years, and I've taken it to the dealership, since it's still under warranty, however they were not able to find the problem since they were not able to witness the lighting go off and on. I figured I'd just do it myself and not even bother with the dealership if I don't have to. I've read the threads on how to fix the issue, however, everything I've found is for 2004 or older models. Are there any threads specific to the 2006? Or, is the instrument cluster on the 2006 the same as another year model? Maybe I can find this info. there.
View 9 RepliesI'm sure I could start tugging on it and the clips would show themselves, but I'd rather not break any unseen clips or screw points. Is there a picture aided how-to for the removal of the drivers side of a dash on a 2012 f250? My tuner comes today and I'd prefer a clean install.
View 6 RepliesTried to remove my rear interior light assembly up on the headliner but just couldn't figure it out. I can pry the clear lens off pretty easy but I want to remove the whole assembly from the headliner so I can put some sound deadner behind it because ever since I upgraded my sound system it rattles like crazy and is driving me nuts. I know guys have dropped the whole headliner to dynamat or sound proof it so someone's gotta know.
View 2 RepliesAny success story on converting 2003 or 2004 f350 with leaf spring front end to the 2005-2007 f350 coil front end is it possible?
View 8 RepliesWell about 4 days after my HPOP replacement, the ol Ford is at it again. Apparently, one of my power steering lines has been rubbing on the top of my driver side front shock mount. It let loose in a giant black plume of black smoke and grinding gears as I was pulling into the corner store. Limped her home and inspected it. From what I see, its not a terribly expensive hose and shouldn't be too terrible to replace. One thing after the other [URL] .....
View 3 RepliesIm switching out the bulbs on the front turn signal light today, I reach my fat little fingers in there and can barely pull off the wire harness that goes into the back of it. When I did this the wire coverings on all three wires just disintegrated I would guess from the heat inside the headlight. Wel there's a short from where they are touching and my signals don't work at all. my question is I can hardly even reach my fingers down in there too remove that wiring harness ( which is the shortest wire ive ever seen) is it necessary for me to remove the grill the front bumper and each headlight in order to access the wires better?
View 5 RepliesWhat's the best way to remove front rotors from the hub without damaging them on my F350 4X4?
View 7 RepliesComing up the mountains here in Ca last night. Snowing and slippery. Put truck in 4x4 light came in saying engaged. Driving very slowly and almost slid off road with two kids and wife in car. Then noticed that there was no front traction happening. Locked hubs manually and all was ok. I think this is a serious problem. If in auto and dash confirms 4x4 engaged then it should be. I am just very lucky to not have seriously hurt my family or someone else. Is this a recall on Fords part I truly think they need to be held accountable if so.
View 13 RepliesBought this truck back in September. I thought the ball joints were going out. So decided to replace everything i would think of. The ball joints, hub bearings, all the tie rod end parts, sway bar links & bushings, and the seals around front u-joints. Now i still have the same rattle. Sounds like a piece of metal rattling in a tube. Really it sounds like the ball joints are out, which i know they are not. Also i greased them again (Just to make sure) and no change.
View 14 RepliesMy new truck has developed a squeak in the front suspension every time you go over little dips and bumps in the road.Which is all the time.
View 3 RepliesSince I bought my F350 last Jan. I have several times had prolonged instances of a severe grinding noise coming from the front end, seemingly the left side. At slow speed in a turn (shallow or steep) a horrible grinding sound is apparent as well as a vibration in the steering wheel. At 9k miles a dealer said it was the wheel bearings and replaced both sides. I now have 12.5K and it is worse than ever. My local dealer says it is normal but that has to be bull. It is is worse after I drop my fiver after towing. It is a 4x2 with the 6.7 diesel. I love the performance but this front end issue is a real problem.
View 14 RepliesMy Front axle wont go back in! It kinda was a pain to remove too; but getting it back in is like mission impossible! I've tried turning the driveshaft, the other wheel, all kinds of stuff short if beating it with a hammer.
In an hour or so I am going to take off the diff cover and see if there is anything obvious, Id rather not but... I took it apart due to noises I was hearing up front on that axle / hub. I have all new seals and such just in case anything needed it.
I have noticed my truck makes a front end noise when I make turns, like from a main road to a side street. What seems to cause it is if there is a little dip or bump during the turn. The noise it makes sounds almost like a tire rubbing a splash guard or something. It comes from the drivers side. It he truck is stock with stock tires and wheels and has 4300 mi on it. I was maybe going to take it to the dealer...
