Having issues with their mirrors folding in? One of mine makes a popping sound and will not fold in or out. I can hear the motor running, sounds like a gear is out of alignment. Have tried to reposition manually with no luck. Is there a rebuild kit for the internals or will I need the entire mirror assembly?

View 7 RepliesI just installed a set of power folding mirrors on my 2008 F350. I noticed that the driver side mirror has a longer travel time than the passenger side. How to fix, or why this is like that? Is it normal? watch the video to see what I mean.

I have a 2010 f-250 lariat with a drivers side power fold mirror that does not fold. The part number is 1448007. Do they interchange? My mirror is a Power Fold, heated, extending type.
View 1 RepliesI bought my 6.0L Diesel about a month ago. Recently when I turn to the left it makes a weird popping sound and gets the "death wobble" If I turn it sharply to the left it will then stop. Last night it got terribly worse and it wobbled at any speed no matter what. I put it up on jack stands and turned the wheel with both tires off the ground, and the sound still happens. I am only by myself and I tried to figure out what is wrong with recording on my phone to see if a ball joint was freezing up but couldn't see. Is there anywhere I should focus on more or less with the camera to see what the issue could be?
View 6 RepliesI blocked off the hpop discharge tube to test for leaks, shop air. I am plugged into the oil rail drivers side, and keep getting a slight popping sound. The first time I did this it took ten minutes to start, so I replaced the top injector seals. The second time it did this after about four minutes, so I took the oil rail to the local shop and they did the ball tube orings in the rail, now I went to put it back on and it does it almost right away.
Am I just pushing the oil out of the injectors? is this normal or should I have NO air noise period? I guess I am not sure how these injectors work, where does the oil go after it enters the top of the injector? It seems like it's coming more from the top coil area, more so perhaps than under the oil rail.
What is the relay location for the power folding mirror in a 2010 F150 FX4 ?
View 8 RepliesA fellow ford driver (f150) pulled around a car on a residential street and clipped my mirror. His whole mirror as removed from his white beater truck. My mirror has the bottom plastic housing broken. Power fold and in/out and all glass movements work. How do i fix. Do the housing on the manual fold mirror with signal is the same as the power fold.

1. The fold flat function doesn't work at all
2. The driver mirror won't move with the switch. No motor sound at all
3. The heated mirror's function doesn't work.
I checked the connections and there fine. It's just a very annoying problem with fog on the mirror's with the weather getting colder now.
2007 F250SD, R/H power mirror with LED lights no work. All other lights and L/H mirror work fine. Checked the fuse in passenger compartment, it's good. Where to start looking?
View 5 RepliesLately (within the last year) after about an hour in the truck my radio will make an electrical pop sounding noise and then the sound cuts out for about one second. The pop is not very loud. It will do this about every 15 seconds at first and then after ten or so minutes it's every 1-3 minutes. Doesn't matter the source, it does it on all of them. The volume is at normal (adult ) listening volumes. Interestingly the subwoofer does NOT cut out which points me towards the amp inside the radio. It also seems as if heat may be part of the issue as it takes a while before it happens. If I turn the radio off and wait 15 minutes and then turn it back on it will work for a few minutes and then start popping.
View 14 RepliesWhat are the odds that the fly wheel is ok and I just need to replace the starter? I can hear it engage the flywheel, it's making the zzzzzzzzzzz noise after it disengages the flywheel, can these starters be oiled or anything to prevent that noise?
View 7 RepliesMy truck has done this since I got it and it's pretty damn annoying. While at idle the rear view mirror vibrates slightly and drives me nuts. If you give it any gas at all it stops. Like I said its super slight but it's enough to notice for sure and makes stuff look blurry if your looking through it.
View 5 RepliesBeen a few months since I was on here. Posting this on behalf of my dad who just bought a 2012 F150 KR.
The truck he bought is a Max tow setup vehicle and it is quite beautiful. He loves everything about it so far except for the huge, non-power folding mirrors.
The question is, can he get these swapped out with a new set of power folding ones that are also tow mirrors?
Couldn't make it 10,000 miles........without a failure.
My driver's side mirror finally broke. It will no longer power fold. It's been slowly dying over the last few weeks, getting slower and slower. Now it won't move on it's own and the electric motor hardly makes any noise/effort trying to move the mirror.
I would assume that should be replaced under warranty but who knows... We'll see what service says about it tomorrow.
When I turn on my fan for the AC or vent or heat, it works just fine on the first and second settings. When I move the fan speed to the third and last speed, I hear this sound that sounds like the blower fan is hitting something. I turn the speed back to the lower two settings and noise goes away. Sometimes I turn it back to the higher settings and the noise actually will go away but most of the time the noise is there.
I pulled the blower motor out yesterday and set it to where I can turn it on while out of the compartment and I didn't really notice a noise. I wonder if the noise is there but I am just not hearing it since it is not enclosed in the compartment? I also noticed there is a crack in the fan where it mounts to the shaft starting at the shaft and extending out one direction and also 180 degrees the other direction. Thoughts on if the motor is bad or just the fan? Or even something else that I may not be seeing?
I have a f350 6.7l powerstroke diesel. It has been shaking real bad sometimes to the point of going only 15-20mph. And sometimes while it shakes it makes a rattling noise in engine area. The weird thing is that it doesn't do it all the time. We have noticed it mostly when gas gets low.
View 3 RepliesHearing a whistle noise after installing the Recon smoked turn signal lense? The whistle starts between 40 and 50 mph and is the driver side only. I have triple checked the installation and it has the same clearance all the way around as the left side. I sent Recon an email on Jan 5th about this issue and still haven't heard back from them.
View 14 RepliesI Probably don't have the right forum but I have searched without luck throughout the site looking to see if any one has swapped out their regular towing mirrors for a set of powerscope ones with power fold and telescopic functions. I also need to know if the wiring is going to already be in there for them , I know that the switch will also have to be replaced ,but is there any thing else? truck is 2013 f250 and this forum seems to have the most responses for that year and model.
View 7 RepliesMy 2003 f250 6.0l just up and quit. It make a popping noise out of the intake when cranking. I am getting 1150 psi at the icp and ipr is at 62% which seems high to me. The FICM voltage seem fine unless the batteries are drained and I am getting FICM sync. I replaced the HPOP, ICP sensor and IPR about a year ago. I recently replaced the air conditioning compressor and power steering pump. I am at a bit of a loss. I did pull the IPR and everything looked fine.
View 14 RepliesI know this is an old subject that comes up from time to time. Most will notice it after an oil change or the first oil change anyway. Yet, some will never notice or experience the sound.
It is when you first start the engine, it has been described as a can of marbles being shaken or popping noise, maybe a metallic knock.
I have 17K on the truck now and this seems to be getting louder and more annoying. Sometimes it is louder than other times, and sometimes I don't hear it at all. I have always changed my oil right at 5,000 mile intervals. Fuel Filter at 13,500.
