With my 2003 PSD 6.0L, I would lock all doors with interior lock button and lock driver's door with the key. Can I do the same with my 2015 PSD 6.7 L or is there another easier/simpler way?

View 2 RepliesI have a 2012 Lariat fairly well loaded out. However, the so called "auto" window button on the drivers door works auto in down only. Just curious if something is wrong with mine because it is will not do auto for raising the window. One would think that on a truck the auto would work both ways. I know on my Expedition it works both ways. Just wondering if mine was faulty before I go to the dealer.
View 8 RepliesWife just called with a weird one. She said the doors won't lock - using either the key fob or using the door lock/unlock button on the car interior. They will lock, and then immediately unlock. Won't stay locked.
Since the car isn't here, I'm shooting in the dark, but I'm having her check:
Make sure all doors are properly closed/latched. Push a button on the key fob to see if the LED lights up (I changed batteries a year ago).
Couple of searches showed up:
Potential issue with lights on when car is turned off (never had this issue before). Someone mentioned a switch below the dash to right of steering column.
On my 97, I cannot power LOCK the doors from the driver's door switch. All other functions work okay. Jumping the switch has no effect.
On the wiring diagram the wires from right and left door switches come together at the relay (seems logical). Where the relay is located?
My mirrors on a 2016 explorer don't move when we lock the doors, or move into position when we unlock them.

View 6 RepliesSo I have an issue over the last couple weeks, when I open the driver's door the power steps extend, and anywhere from 10 seconds to a minute later the step will retract like I closed the door. I didn't notice this the first time so the first step out of the truck caught me off guard. Now I pay attention to see it is extended before I get out.
So at first I thought it was a step issue, like it wasn't getting a consistent signal that the door was open, but I noticed yesterday when I had the door open, truck running, and radio on it all of a sudden retracted. I shut the truck off and got out but the radio kept playing because the truck thought the door was closed even though it was wide open. I closed the door and opened it and the radio shut off and the step extended and retracted like it should.
So last night I left the door open, truck off, no key in it. Over a period of 5 minutes, the step extended and retracted 8 times. My issue is only with the drivers door, the back doors and passenger doors don't appear to have an issue.
Where is the switch for the door? I think that would be the best place to start in replacing that.
I replaced my gpr on Friday night and my remote to lock the doors worked just fine. Saturday morning they unlocked just fine as well drove it thirty minutes and went to lock my doors with the remote and it didn't work. So could this just be crazy timing for it to stop working or could it be related?
I have a 2000 f250 4x4 I've tested with all three remotes I have for it and none of them work where would I start to test and see if it is just bad connections or dirty ones?
I purchased 2011 F250 King Ranch Edition about 3 months ago. I'm loving the truck and not had any issues until 3 weeks ago. I locked the truck as usual using the key Fob, and upon returning to the truck, I noticed the doors weren't locked. After some brief trouble shooting, I discovered the the fuse was blown that according to the manual controls just the power door locks. I thought it was strange that a new truck would be popping a fuse so I replaced it...a couple of days later it blew again. This time I was locking the truck with the door key pad. I took it to the dealership and they checked it over and said they replaced the fuse and cycled it numerous times but could not reproduce the problem. The told me that they even put a call in to the Ford engineers and they said check the key pad for water intrusion. The dealership told me they disassembled the key pad and found nothing wrong....lock and unlocked the door some more and the fuse would not blow. I picked the truck up four days ago and the fuse blew again last night. Everything else works...alarm sets and goes off if any of the doors are opened. The only thing that I can find that doesn't work when the fuse is blown is the remote start.
View 14 RepliesMy daughter has a 2001 S60. She's noticed lately that when she pushes the lock button on the key fob that the driver's door does not lock.
The other three doors lock, and the alarm sets. Not sure if I just need to get the shop to pull the door panel and lubricate it, or if it may be more serious.
04 f350, how do i get the door lock keypad number?
View 9 RepliesI just bought the batteries I was asking about in this posting. Bought them at auto zone on my lunch hour today, they swapped them out right there in the lot, no problems. Watched carefully to make sure terminals were not crossed, etc. When I came out of work a few hours later, the #20 fuse for door locks was blown. I chalked it up to the battery change, and put a new fuse back when I got home. I come out an hour later to leave, and the fuse is blown again. I have not replaced it again, need to go get more of the proper amp rating.
No other changes to the truck other than the battery replacement. And that's the only anomaly. No other problems, nothing. Getting ready to head cross-country on a skiing trip, this Friday, so there really is no time to get to the dealer to get this looked at.

View 9 RepliesI can lock the doors with the key fob but it does not beep. The alarm sets, and the passenger doors all lock, but the drivers door does not. I have checked that all doors are closing properly, and the transmission is in park.
I also tried both key fobs with the same result. The alarm LED flashes about 6 times before glowing steady - is this a code of some sort?
Weird thing happened this evening. About sunset I went out to the front porch and pressed the door lock button on the fob to lock the doors. It honked at me. Never done that before.
Then it started making a loud clicking noise, like a relay, from under the hood. I went around to the drivers door and pressed the unlock button but the doors did not unlock. Pulled the emergency key out of the fob and opened to door.
I was thinking maybe it just wanted me to start it up and recharge for a minute. Haven't driven it since last Thursday before a spell of freezing weather on Friday & Saturday.
Inserted key fob in dash socket & tried to start it - nothing happened except some warning lights on the dash started blinking in time with the relay clicking sound. Turned it off & back on and door locks started clicking like it was trying to lock & unlock.
Kept turning it off and on, tried to manually unlock or lock the doors. Left the door open and went inside & put a new battery in the key fob, went out to try again. Tried to start it but it would not. Eventually, everything stopped except the "Check Engine" light came on. Car still won't start. Now I can't lock the drivers door.
I have a 2007 SF SE that seems to be having multiple electrical problems. In summary, the following are happening irregularly:
1) rear passenger door will not lock with the power lock button
2) front driver door will not lock with the power lock button
3) A/C turns on by itself at random times
4) Power gas latch release will not work
As I said before, these problems happen randomly and all the things listed above will work on occasions. I have not taken any steps to troubleshoot other than looked at the relays in the engine bay which seemed to be fine.
I know that some other posts mentioned the lock actuators for the lock problems. However, I think there might be an electrical problem since all the problems seem to be related. The car is not under warranty anymore.
I have a Camry 2011 LE (US) and it is giving me this problem for last few weeks. The doors lock fine with the key fob and the lock button on the doors however only driver side door unlocks when i try to unlock it.
The car does not has any starting problem and it still does not work when the car is started and moving. I have even tried a friend's battery to double check if its a battery issue but it does not seems like its that problem since my car starts just fine.
I have been searching on the internet for the problem and read somewhere it could be a Relay problem and i was able to find two relays in the fuse box. But I just don't know if its legit to try replacing the Relay and if yes which relay control doors.
On my 2007 Prius the exterior lock button on the driver door works maybe 1 time out of 10. After shutting all the doors I press it and usually nothing happens (when it works, it locks all the doors and makes the beep sound as expected).
View 6 RepliesI have a 03 Excursion. The door lock buttons work perfectly to lock the doors but nothing happens when I try to unlock with the buttons on the doors. However the key fob and keypad entry work flawlessly. I was sure it was the drivers side master switch but replaced it with a brand new one today still doesn't do anything, no sound from actuators or any relay click nothing but the mechanical click of the contacts in the switch.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2011 Avalon. The power door locks will all lock with the door button and the remote key. The problem is that only the drivers door will unlock with either method, what a pain.
