Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: Shaking When In Park / Neutral And At Idle

OK I know it's not a 6.0 or even a diesel. I had my Ford Expedition(2005) in to have rear main bearing seal, transfer case input shaft seal, etc, which included dropping the transmission. When we picked it up I noticed that it now shakes when in Park and Neutral when at idle. The shake cycles every 2 seconds or so, shakes for 2 seconds, smooths out for 2 seconds, shakes for 2 seconds, etc. There are no codes thrown, it runs smooth in gear running at interstate speeds and in town driving. They put the scanner on it, unbolted the transmission and re torqued them, and a bunch of other stuff. They are lost. I though maybe the torque converter wasn't in balance or something but they ruled that out.

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: Rough Idle At Startup And Shaking - Lag In Power And Vibrate On Highway

This morning I noticed when I started the truck had a rough idle shaking truck. The truck felt weak. Boost would go up but truck felt like it was in sand. While coasting on the highway at 50-55mph the truck not only lags in power but vibrates viciously until the overdrive kicks in that vibrations in cab and ssteering wheel go away.. What might be going on?

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: Rough Idle - Shaking At 1500 - 2000 Rpm?

I'm having a problem with my 6.0 back in September I started to notice a little miss with some black and white smock while accelerating so I took the truck to a power stroke specialist near my house to have it diagnosed they said my number 5 injector was starting to go bad so just this last week I finally got up enough money to get the injector changed I got the truck back yesterday from the mechanic. While driving I get a lot of shaking right around 1500 to 2000 rpms when I let off the accelerator it smooths out if I mash on it and keep the RPMs above 2000 it smooths out the truck still has a lot of power no check engine light has ever been on through this whole ordeal and there's a rough idle I guess the best way to describe the shacking would be if the truck was a standard shift and you were pulling a hill in to hi of a gear.

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2004 F250 V8 - Hard Start / Rough Idle / Shaking - No Power When Cold

I'm new to diesels. I just bought a 2004 F250 with the 6.0 V8. I have the high and low circuit, contribution codes on cylinders 4 and 8. I've only had the truck for a few days but I've been reading a ton. The symptoms are hard start, rough idle/shaking, no power when cold. When it heats up and I'm over 2000 RPM it seems to be just fine. Even when hot and below 2000 RPM it does ok. I've check the FICM. It reads 48V with key on and 48V running. My plan is to do the following:

Change the Fuel Filters
Change the oil filter
Change Air Filter
Change oil with 5-W30 synth and I have both Hot Shot/Rev-X

If that doesn't work, I'll replace the two injectors. How does that sound.

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: When Sitting At Idle In Park And Truck Starts Knocking / Horrific Sound

So was sitting at an idle in park and truck starts knocking, horrific sound. So shut checked oil, good, went to work came out 8 hours later, started up still knocked. Pulled into drive hit the pedal, knock went away, stopped at red light, knock came back...... Truck has been parked for 3 days, still knocks at an idle but soon as tap the pedal and give fuel it goes away... Tried unplugging injectors one at a time to eliminate, still had knock.

2003 auto, 4wd, studded,deleted, coolant filter, sct with innovative tunes 108,000 miles.

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2015 - Shaking Under Slight Load Due To A Small Incline And Loud Diesel Sound

So I have just over 14k on my 2015....... I love the truck but have had a few small issues. I had a water leak coming in from the roof that would leak through the grab handle. Nothing major dealer replaced one clearance light seal and they said the windshield needs to be re sealed.

Then I had a god awful irritating squeak in the dash..... It only does it late In the day when it's been hot. The dealer said it was a loose air bag. I have had the truck back a week and it's doing it again.

Those are little issues that will get resolved...... I hate having problems with a brand new vehicle but I understand it happens and that's what warranty is for.

I also reported a bad shake to the dealer...... The truck will shake very violently and have a very loud "diesel" sound. It's very specific at when it occurs. It has only done 4 times in the past 6 weeks including today. The odd thing is the 4 times it has done it has been the same time of day in the exact same spot on the exact same road!!!!

Basically I leave my office sit in some traffic and by the time I get to the parkway it has been35 minutes or so. Only happens in 6th at 60 which is roughly 1,400rpm a slight load due to a small incline and it shakes real bad! The typical "diesel" sound you get when under a load is very pronounced almost to a knock. It will continue to do this as you slowly increase throttle until it down shifts and then goes away. I also caught it doing it and I manually shifted to 5th and it went away.

Because of the rpm at which it happens with slight load only doing it in 6th I lean to a Trans issue and more so a converter problem. It feels like converter shutter. I just don't understand the engine sound.

I gave very descriptive info to the dealer..... Several techs drove it and could not duplicate. I just picked the truck back up last Thursday and the dash squeak is back and the shake happened yesterday and again today. So I am a bit irritated to say the least.

I really hate the fact that I know there is a problem but I also understand if a tech can't duplicate it he can't diagnose it. However today I did get a video of it with my phone so they will know I'm not making this crap up!

Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: High Idle In Park / Neutral And Shifting

I have a '98 F150 4.2l with 230k miles on it. A couple of days ago when starting, I noticed that the engine kept racing instead of idling down like it normally does and the weather here in Arkansas has approached the 80 degree mark. The engine also doesn't idle down when shifting (I have a manual tranny). Where to start? I don't have any codes stored other than two for bank 1 and bank 2 running lean but they popped up many miles ago. I'm thinking either a vacuum leak or throttle control. I checked the operation of the cable and the throttle valve and they appear to be fine. Maybe the idle air control?

I went out to the store today all was fine came back out and started driving got 2 miles down the road to a red light and the truck about stalled no power it doesn't smoke at idle but revved up it blows black and some white and the truck shakes. I am thinking its stiction or bad FICM????

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2012 - Shaking / Gasping At Around 40 And 70 MPH

I have a 2012 F350 KR with 14,000 miles. Over the last month, I have had 5 or 6 instances where Im driving and barely on the accelerator and the engine or transmission shakes or vibrates violently. Its happened at around 40mph and 70mph. It seems like the engine is not getting the right amount of fuel or maybe its the transmission stumble or shake that I have heard about. It is a fast back and forth of either the engine knocking or gasping or its the transmission. It can be very bad.

I went to the dealer and of course, there were no thrown codes on the pcm. They did the reflash and 20+ miles of driving and said there is nothing wrong. Last night, I was on a country road at about 40 mph and it happened again. If I press the accelerator down harder, I will stop. If I keep the accelerator at the same spot, it seems like it would just knock, or shake violently forever. Do we think this is an engine issue or a transmission issue?

Its not a slow back and forth of the transmission like Ive seen in older cars. IF it is the tranny, its happening really fast..if not, its maybe the engine?

I cannot tell or don't have enough knowledge to know if its an engine prob or transmission. I just know it sounds and feels like the world is ending and the shake, knock and vibration is going to tear the truck up..

Finally after 423k plus miles on 7.3, bought 13 250 with 6.7, love it but... I noticed some shaking @ 45 mph, below or above no problem and only when cold. I was thinking it could be tires, they are Conti 18" original with 65 psi and I do not pull anything.

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: Steering Wheel Shaking?

Was on the way home today and was taking a long sweeping left-hand curve at 60 and got a horrible shake in the steering wheel. Kinda scared me a bit and let out of the throttle a bit. Didn't happen after and never has before. I'm under the impression it is more shocks maybe then steering, Reason I say that although I don't get a lot of bounce if the road isn't perfectly smooth I can really tell it. What do ya'll think?

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Violent Shaking And Engine Code

I purchased a 2011 ford f250 6.7 diesel today from a dealer in indiana. During test drive i noticed a shudder when i was doing over 60 and i immediately brought truck back and told seller about it.so he gets in and we drive it got it over 60 i hit brakes.it shuddered again but not as bad.long story short seller said it was prob a shock or strut or ball joint.

So I bought the truck anyhow and during the 600 mile drive back home and only when i was in top gear the truck would shudder when i hit a large bump.i would then slow way down to under 40mph and it would go back to driving normal.it did this a couple times but i noticed if i kept it under 60 it didnt seem to happen when i hit bumps.

So I get all the way home and check engine light comes on and i mean literally as soon as i got home from 600 mile drive. I plugged in my engine diagnostic tool and it shows a P0284 code. Are these things related? I called the dealer back and he says the truck is as is but he will look into it. I don't want to do further damage driving.

Couple days ago the cab of my truck started shaking some more than usual. Its gotten worse now, however. Happens the worst around 60-80km, light on the throttle just cruising in overdrive, whole cab shakes badly. Chop the throttle and its completely gone, any heavy on the throttle and it's gone as well. Does it loaded and unloaded. Okay at highway speeds but like i said around 70km its bad. I've got my guesses but what really it is?? Truck runs fine otherwise...

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Auto Transmission - When Shifting Truck Will Go Into Neutral State For 2 - 5 Seconds

When taking off the 1-2 shift and the 2-3 shift the truck will go into a neutral state for 2-5 seconds. when this occurs, the rpms will rev since your foot is on the accelerator. Once you let off the accelerator the rpms come down and the gear will catch. I have had the truck in the shop a few times without any luck. part of the problem is no codes are thrown so the dealer has no clue what to look for. This is extremely dangerous when in my case i pull out on a 6 lane hwy with 55mph speed limit. Ford more or less said to pound salt until a code is thrown or until something else happens. this nearly caused a nasty wreck 2 weeks ago.

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: No Trailer Park Lights

Borrowed a buddys trailer that had wiring issues. I ended up blowing a mini fues & maxi fuse in my truck. 06 F350 CC ... Replaced both fuses in the truck and had park lights on the truck but now dont get any lights on any trailers. All factory plugs 7pin & 4 pin. I get turn signals and brake lights on the trailers but that is all. If the fuses are good were should I start looking for problems? or is there more fuses I may be missing. I have metered all the fuses under the dash aswell as under hood all check out. Where to go next ???

Get the message every time at start up and won't go away. It doesn't seem to be working when I back up near something. If one sensor goes does the whole system shut down? Also It won't let me check the "ON" box for the park aid.

A few months ago I couldn't get the shift lever out of park without trying multiple times. Then it was okay for about 5 months now it is back and worse. It is not bound up because of parking on a hill or anything like that and I press very hard on the brake pedal. It take s multiple times to get it out of park trying turning the key on and off and so on. The truck only has 86,000 miles on it and the transmission has always worked perfectly.

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2005 F250 - Shaking In Front End When Foot Is Barely On The Gas

I am new to the ford deisel. I have a 2005 F250 6.0 liter power stroke. it has been bullet proofed with EGR delete. Has an after market intake. An Edge TC tuner, and alot of extras. My question is why am I having shaking in the front end when my foot is barely on the gas. If i give it more gas it goes away as soon as the boost kicks up to around 2 or 3. It does this every time I take my foot on and off the pedal. It will only last for a second if i give it alot of gas. But if I barely touch the pedal it will shake the whole time until the boost kicks in.
